Since I seriously intend to buy a Cayenne V6 and have seen some new cars in mobile.de and autosout.de, I tried to find myself. On the American side of Porsche there is the identical configurator as on the Germans and the $ 44,100 corresponds to about € 34,150. With around € 14,000 price advantage, the search is really fun :-). Concrete question(s) to the forum: 1. Has someone experience with the import from the USA 2. how does it behave s I am known to someone with the warranty/guarantee 3. Are there serious distinctions in the standard equipment USA – Europe??? I have become particularly stubborn with the option “European Delivery” in Leipzig. Maybe then I do not have to import the vehicle from USA at all, but pick it up with the purchase contract of my american Porsche Dealers in Leipzig, let me send the necessary papers from the states and let it easily in Germany. Nest increasing barriers, but the attempt is worth it!!! Look forward to your answers!!! Many greetings Sven.

please read if this is true
In the Toyota Forum, a certain “wopper” asserts this here: Quotation: Toyota is also the most innovative car manufacturer when it comes to drive technology. See hybrid or fuel cell technology. With hybrid technology, the Volkswagen Group had tried in the 90s and failed miserably, because they did not get the technology under control. Now brands such as Mercedes or Porsche are in line with Toyota and want to have a license for hybrid technology. In plain language: If in a few years the Porsche Cayenne comes with hybrid drive, Toyota earns itself a golden nose on each of these sold Porsche! Apart from that, Toyota management is one of the best in the world. What few people know: Without the support of Toyota, Porsche probably wouldn’t exist anymore. With the help of Toyota, Porsche was renovated at the time and could only become what Porsche is today under Wedekind. Link:http://www.motor-talk.de/showthread. Php?… Is there any truth in it, or is it crazy?

What to grin on…. 😉 Porsche copies Smart!
Hello dear Porsche community, here’s something to grin on. So I find funny. What do you think! Porsche recently cooperates with SMART! From February 2006 there will be the Porsche Smart and the Porsche GT Smart at the entry price of 18,000 EUR! Both will be offered with the well-known 6-cylinder engines around 350 HP! Here’s press photos: The GT-Smart with the well-known test driver and century rally driver Walter Röhrl Both vehicles have been limited to 250 km/h, as they otherwise fly surprisingly. Due to the low vehicle dimensions and weights, you are classified as quads, which under new regulations are already allowed to drive young people from 16 years! But here the top speeds are limited to 50 km/h! However, with impressive acceleration data! 0-50 km/h: 2,5 sec!

Questions about 996
Hello! An acquaintance of mine would like to buy a used 996, year of construction approx. 99/00 with 221 kw (300 ps) and have a few questions about it: 1. Is there a clear difference between “sports seats” and normal? 2. Is the front-mounted conversion to the facelift with the parts of the Turbo/4S possible, i.e. bumper, fender and headlight? 3. Is there a great difference to the 235kw engine from the facelift? 4. Is a C4 with all-wheel? 5. What does the “PSM” bring? Should you definitely place importance on it? 6. – A question that is not important, but important!! – Can the glove compartment be retrofitted by the Facelift or do you need a new dashboard? 7. Oh yes, one more: Does the original Porsche Klatnauspuff also fit the 3.4 liter engine or is there a no flap-nauspuff? So that’s it… To a few answers n I would be very pleased. Greetings cabriofreak

C2 or C4 – what do you prefer?
Hello! What do you prefer, which one drives better? The classic rear-driver C2 or the all-wheel drive C4? My thoughts on the topic (unfortunately purely theoretical nature – I am curious about your experiences from the practice!): C4 —– + certainly better traction + safer (or not – as far away lying but narrower border area) – more parts and technology (can also break…!) – heavier (more parts) – more expensive C2 —– + “classical” Sportl he with rear drive + rear drive is supposed to be the nonplusultra for sporty driving + cheaper + no drive influences on the steering wheel – traction problems? In winter certainly difficult to drive, also thanks to the rear engine in connection with the rear drive (“Heckswerfer” So, experienced Porsche drivers – which is to be preferred in your opinion?

What about the myth of Porsche?
Hello, since I read more and more often here in the engine talk and also get to hear it from acquaintances: why do everyone want a Porsche? What is so good about a 5-year-old used Porsche, for example, that it justifies the high price? Give me reasons why you have chosen a (used) Porsche, or should I do it right away. Gruss, Adam

Porsche Cayenne Turbo S -> Penis prosthesis for ecoterrorists!
Hello to the Porsche Forum, hopefully I’ll be represented with you soon!! A rather entertaining post from an eco-fuzzi HomepageLink quote: “Only micropenis sufferers with an enormous sense of self-esteem drive the “Porsche Cayenne Turbo S” . Viagra would definitely be more compatible for the patient as well as the environment and other people.”

998 with middle engine?
Somehow, I suspect that Porsche is more and more inclined to establish the middle engine. Boxster: MM, Cayman: MM, Carrera GT: MM… only the Elfer has the rear engine. But as quickly as Porsche has thrown the air-cooling overboard, Porsche m.E. could also move completely to the middle engine… Simply with the “justification” that middle engines at Porsche have a tradition that was recently crowned by the Carrera GT. My Progno for the 998 (keep the laurel craenze ready for me, if it actually comes like this ): A similar revolution as from the 993 to the 996 and the turning away from the classic rear engine concept, to the middle engine. The evolution of the elf is in any case now in a dead end. Since a MM injection is just right. At least the time would be ripe.
