As in previous years, we would like to know how you came through the previous year with your mobile kit. Were you satisfied or were there worries and troubles with your vehicle or the service of the manufacturer?Even if you have voted in December: In some forums the survey was broken. Because all MOTOR-TALKers should have the same chance to express their opinion, we decided to close the survey in general and start over now. n News: How satisfied were you with your Porsche in 2014? Voice in the survey and external praise or criticism as a comment. We have to many manufacturers a direct wire and they read with them on MOTOR-TALK. That’s why your opinion is exactly where it should end up: with Porsche.

CAYENNE V8 not LPG gas resistant ?
Hello now I’m also close to getting a Cayenne S (year 2006, 130TKm, 340 HP), but before that I have an urgent question for you. I’ve been searching the forum for purchasing advice for some time and I noticed that it was often mentioned that the V8 should not be LPG Gasfest. Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly explained why this should be so. According to some articles there is a motor conversion kit (ventile) that should thwart this? Is this not going to happen immediately. in the installation of the gas system? Is the V8 generally not LPG gas-resistant or is it due to the lack of the said engine conversion kit? That would dissuade me from buying a Cayenne with gas system and would then rather buy a pure petrol. Greeting Heinz

Porsche 997 import from Dubai, are there reasons against buying?
Hello Porschefriends, my question concerns a 997, Carrera S Coupe from 2005, with 160,000 on the speedometer, completely stapled. Does anyone have experience with Porsche 997 or generally imports from Dubai? My question aims at the technical condition of these cars, not at the procedure of the import. Thank you very much! Greetings, Tom

the annoying understeering at the 11s
As a long-time BMW driver I still have to get used to some things, what the driving behavior of my 997 reaches. Drive in a narrow Black Forest curve (wet, about 2 degrees plus, summer tires) a bit fast and expect it to come with the rear and prepare me for the counter steering. But nothing there, he pushes over the front wheels to the opposite track; good that nobody came to meet me….. I know well that the first 911ers from the 60s had this problem massively. But now a Not even my beetle understeers to this extent. Question 1: Is that normal, even in the 997? Question 2: How can it be reduced?

6.7 litres consumption
I just stumbled upon it by chance….http://www.autobild.de/article/sparfahrt-in-911-carrera_822651.html …and wanted to get into the Zuffenhausener-Round questions, already similar ambitions put into action and what achieves ?!? But maybe the above value is still nothing and you have better stock ????! Town share was above all modestly low, the BAB+Landstraßen-Tour maybe off, at night hours,…?! I mean, an A4. 2.0 TDI with 3.4 l/100k Driving over 1600km is one thing.

Caman S MK II Marketing shovel
Hello, I have read some reports (sports car, car motor and sports etc..) and had to find out that it is only marketing. There the Cayman S MK II is almost described as the overporsche and of course ONLY PDK me, as if there was only the PDK… If you look at the measured times e.g. from the sports car Cayman s MKII PDK 0-200 18.3 and Top Speed 275, I ask myself where the car should be faster than the Cayman S MKI 0-200 18.8 and Top Speed 275. I’ve been driving an A3 3.2 DSG for 4 years and now a Cayman S. I haven’t driven the PDK yet, but I don’t think it’s gonna be any different than Audi’s DSG. Of course it’s very good for an automatic, but it’s and remains an automatic that patronizes the driver. I was also excited about the DSG at the beginning, but with time I missed the handshift. To get a roll and in front of ice cream parlors a PDK is good, but is that the determination of a Porsche?!. .. The measured 0-100 times with launch control 4.6 or 4.7 are also only half the truth, because who stands at the traffic light with 6000 tours, in order to sprint like a fool to loose (unfortunately) besides, I have read somewhere that the PDK at launch control also has a commemorative second until it mounts, like the DSG of Audi. That is, if you calculate the time from the release of the brake to the start of the journey, the acceleration time is no better than from the hand switch, which after the release of the Kupplun g starts immediately. I also wonder how many launch control starts a PDK can handle before it goes up. In my Audi, the DSG gearbox had to be changed after 50000 km.

Why doesn’t Porsche want to see his mistakes?
In every car magazine, the unspeakable shift paddles at the PDK and the wrong shift scheme are being used. Porsche would now have had the chance to correct the wrong decision at the Boxster / Cayman Facelift and thus to silence the criticism. But no, the once misguided path is pulled out on Devil come, until one the buyers run away. Auto Motor Sport in the current edition : ” Less enthusiasm reaps the manually PDK – operator Neither the control blocks on the steering wheel nor the selector lever with its high gear shift to the front can convince athletes.” I have already drawn the conclusion for myself and instead of a new boxster ordered an M3 with a DKG transmission. But like to keep doing so guys, I have already sold my Porsche shares anyway. Markus

VW finally hires the ancestor of the Porsche
Even though the New Beetle technically had nothing in common with the beetle, the shape had already reminded a little bit of the forefather of the 911, the beetle. VW wanted to roll up the thing again, possibly even with rear engine, but by the purchase of Porsche the products 911 and beetles would have been too similar then and competition in the own house really doesn’t make sense. http://auto.de.msn.com/…/bilder.aspx?cp-documentid=152300371 Markus

Cayman / Cayman S – Your opinion?
Actually I am a hard-hitting country rover or volvo driver (my commuter car). good, for every purpose the right vehicle would be all the more then a story for itself were recently in the porsche museum and was really impressed! yes, and then he stands now at the end of the round – the cayman! the vehicle really did me – rarely seen such a beautiful sports car (for me only the aston is above it – but he plays in another league anyway and will probably never be affordable for me in *sniff*!). already a year before I made known with this – on the grounds of my last employer was always one – in black with red leather – parked, belonged to the neighbor company. a wonderful part. what strikes me that the cayman, also here in the forum, almost goes down. what would interest me, especially from the cayman drivers, why did you choose the one and not for more common models? cayman or cayman s? is the difference noticeable? wa are your general experiences with it? could become really weak for the part thank you for your contributions!
