  • What guarantee?

Hello together! I dared and fulfilled my dream. A 997 Porsche Carrera 4S Built in 2006. Got a question regarding the warranty. I bought the vehicle in the PZ and you offer there 2 paid guarantees. The Porsche guarantee and a guarantee from the dealer (PZ), not to be confused with the warranty. There is anyway. Which would you choose? According to PZ both have the same services. The difference to the Porsche guarantee is the foreign option. Kan I’m a member of ADAC Plus so I don’t need them (towing or returning the vehicle to Germany). How do you see it? Would be grateful for tips / suggestions. Greetings Red Arrow

  • Cayenne goes Africa

Hello, we have been proud owners of a Cayenne S. Freu for a few days … The car will cover us in April to Namibia where the thickness should serve us as a everyday car and of course as an offroader. Since there is of course no Porsche branch in Namibia I will bring the car again to the inspection etc. to the friendly. Since I don’t know much offroad and Cayenne here have some questions about the car: 1. I have to mount the grabber AT in 18 inches someone experience with off-road tyres on the Cayenne and if so what is recommended. 2. The car has now 30 tkm on it and is 4 years old I should check or renew something before I ship the thick one? (so there are defects or recall actions that have to be made) 3. Has someone ever retrofitted an underbody protection (engine) and if so with what effort Fa. ? 4. Are there maybe some tips the long-time Cayenne drivers have for us? Anson I have to say that the Cayenne is a successful car with reserves (peasant opinion ;-)) So I would be very happy about a few answers! Greetings Thomas

  • Exhaust gas system 987 S

Hello Boxster driver, have been the owner of a Boxster S for a few days, with an exhaust system (exhaust gas concept) the factory was mounted according to delivery description. However, my wife is this after some test drives too loud. Are there parts dealers, or possibly Porsche Boxster drivers who want to exchange with me. Look forward to your answers. Gruss A.N

  • Comparison test Facelift Porsche Cayenne S-Diesel vs. Facelift X6 M50d in the AMS

Moin, the current AMS includes a comparison test between the facelifted Cayenne S-Diesel vs. X6 M50d. The Cayenne S-Diesel wins this test. I find the measured acceleration values in the intermediate sprint (80-120 km/h), where the Cayenne decreases the X6 almost half a second (3.9 vs. 3.5 s). The fuel consumption shows that the low-hub engine of the BMW has to exert itself hard in order to keep up with the Porsche eighth. In terms of consumption, where the X6 swallows more than the Cayenne, it looks much different when it comes to the NEDC consumption. Strangely enough, the test also takes these pseudo-statements into account and the BMW receives 5 extra points, although it consumes more in practice What would interest me, why the BMW receives 13 points in the safety equipment and thus 6 more than the Cayenne. Vehicle usually with all safety extras (so I do it anyway). The chapter driving behavior decides the Cayenne clearly for itself and wins here every evaluation. Greetings Ex-Polo driver

  • Macan Turbo ordered yesterday. In May will be delivered 🙂

Moin to everyone, have read the last weeks relatively intensely here in the forum and the final order was finished yesterday………..Juhu. Now wait until May and he is already there. Does anyone already have experience with the SAGA? Have they ordered now, because I have them in the 911er and in the Boxster S. Since I bought the car, I think, that it might increase the resale something? If someone has suggestions to the Konfi, gladly out with it. Here the Porsche Code PFRYNGB4 Happy me on eu NS: If someone comes from near Hamburg and happens to own a Macan turbo with SAGA, a sound sample would be really great, at the Porsche NDL in Hamburg I’m not available Greetings Thorsten

  • Consumers switch off after 10 minutes due to weak battery. (NFzg)

Hi, when the engine is switched off and the ignition is switched on, the radio switches off after 10 minutes at the latest with the warning “battery is weak”. Light and climate have been switched off at the shutdown. This happens even after 200 km (total power is now >1500km) highway. With my BMW the music lasts 3 hours under equal conditions. Is this so normal, needs some time/km or does this point to a “mountain battery? How are your experiences?

  • Cayenne S or Turbo?

Hello Porsche friends, as soon as I get new talent, I have to separate myself from my boxster with which I have only had joy for 10 years. Two cars are currently in question for me: Cayenne S with 340 and 385 hp and Cayenne Turbo with 450 and 500 hp respectively. But the consumption data of Porsche irritate me : Cayenne S: Combined approx. 14.9 l/100 km Inner village: approx. 20.9 l/100 km Out of town: approx. 11.2 l/100 km Cayenne Turbo: Combined approx. 15.7 l/100 km Inner village: approx. 21.9 l/100 km Out of town: c a. 11,9 l/100 km It is clear to me that the consumption is much more than indicated but only 1 liter difference between S and Turbo? And which car can be recommended. I like to drive quickly but this will certainly change when the junior is in the back. I drive about 10tkm a year and of it %50 motorway. I thank you in advance for your answers. Calpi78

  • Cayenne S 2018, quality and equipment

I am a Cayenne S driver of the first hour and I drove all – for me there were four – models. About a month ago I picked up the latest, Cayenne. The first enthusiasm about the successful rear design has given way to a certain disillusionment about the cheap workmanship and inferior materials. Porsche praises the new, innovative pcm great however, each passat and A4 has an at least as good communication system as the Porsche innovation. For a few dogs You can buy a mobile phone storage in the middle console. You put your IPhone 8 in the hollow. But the thing does not charge. A question at Porsche found that this is not an inductive charger but only an antenna amplifier…!!??!! What is such a nonsense for €500? My business car was at Audi’s service and I got a funny Seat Aroma – never heard of. I put the mobile phone in the middle shelf and the thing loads…!!! Also the central large display with Touch Sc I’m disappointed with the latest Cayenne. Scone design, technically anything but innovative in many respects. Materials lousy, plastic where you can go… I’m waiting for the Q8… that gives an expensive exchange after a year or so…!

  • Porsche Cayenne engine rattles

Hello, it’s about a Porsche Cayenne, older model, 4.5 l V8, about 140000 km. When the engine gets warm it’s clearly audible. In the cold state you can hardly hear it. But the warmer it gets the louder the knocking. Of the frequency I would say that there are about 180 clicks per minute at idle. We have listened to the engine with the screwdriver on the ear and in the area of the oil filler lid you hear it loudest. The joke is, however, when you open the oil cover is the knocking When you screw the lid back on it is there again. In the engine there is a decent vacuum. A sheet of paper on the oil filler opening bends clearly inwards. Does anyone have an idea why the knocking is gone when you open the oil cover and what it could be in general ? Thank you and many greetings Michael

  • Pull off plugs for ‘fold permanently open’?

Hello together My colleague and I have the following vehicles: ER: 911 (997 Facelift) Turbo S Cabriolet I: 911 (997 Facelift) Carrera 4S Cabriolet with PSE I have the PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) on it and can open and close the flaps each via the button in the cockpit. My colleague who has the Turbo told me that when he pushes the Sport button, the Turbo also sounds a bit louder although there is no PSE for this one and he has not installed any. Now the following question: K on both vehicles in the engine compartment (back cover) a ‘brown’ or ‘black’ plug pull that the car is permanently loud – so also between 30 and 70 KMH? Where is this plug on both models? Is it brown or black? Or can one pull these hoses off from under the car? Does someone have a picture or a guide how we can do this? Thanks for your help.
