Buying advice Porsche Boxster S – What do you have to pay attention to?
Hello, I would like to buy a Porsche Boxster S as a former Audi driver and Audi mechanic from the year 2000. What is to be paid attention, what diseases has the Boxster S ? Is this the 986 ? Is the top electrically or mechanically adjustable ? I have heard the Porsche middle engines installed. If the engine is the pleul bearing or e.g. the head seal over, then the engine must be completely out ? What swallows such a Boxster S ? Does it get Super or Super plus ? Can you use the boxes Then there is the interior equipment. Somehow it seems to me that the model is cheaply processed, from the pictures at Mobile.de for example. Would you decide on a certain year of construction when you buy such a car? What is a good Boxster S worth from the Bj 2000 ? Thank you very much for your answers. LG Michael

new Porsche Boxstar or new BMW Z4
Just drive BMW – 1-er, 3-er, 5-er since 1981 and think about a convertible for the summer. Recently I saw from the new box star pictures – I find that very successful, but I also like the Z4 and is cheaper. At the Z4 I would go for the smallest engineization – unfortunately only a4 cylinder turbocharged. That would be enough for me. My question: How is the quality of Porsche really, it is worth the extra charge of 10,000 € to BMW ? Please, I’m not talking about driving performance, but about processing, quality, engine life – with normal, gentle driving, consumption – petrol, oil? Greetings

Take care 997
Hello dear Porsche community and friends of the Zuffenhausener vehicle. the term of office of the Porsche 911 Type 997 is coming to an end. The 991 has been available since September 2011. Porsche is currently trying to find buyers for the 997 with juicy discounts. There are now over 20% on leasing. What about people? Do you already get the 991 or would you rather take a 997 with a big discount? Since I personally like the 997 much better, I would like myself because of the high Nac The 991 doesn’t work in my eyes. At least the rear is really disadvised in my opinion. I’m looking forward to your opinions and comments. Greeting Commander911

992 4s Cabrio – a very personal subjective report
The 992 replaces our 991.1 Carerra 4 Coupe in August (after three months in the PZ as a demonstration car). Originally, the “last” sucker should stay yes, but after a big brother arrived with the 991.2 GT3 last year unexpectedly, 2 coupés make little sense. Part 1 – The following report: So we have our new 992 4s convertible (one of the first runs out) on 24.05. The car was only equipped and ordered by us in April from a quota of the PZ as desired and then approved on 23 May. Apart from the usual children’s diseases (motor failure after 100 km highway – Reboot helped, the rear triangle window on the passenger side had a sensor malfunction and did not always close) of a zero series , the car is driving dynamic the absolute hammer and I say that, although I was not even allowed to drive the car on the whole weekend. But like the car for my OHL absolutely new car (both from the chassis, as well as from the interior and operating concept) after just 5 minutes instruction and 120 km distance on the highway was then moved through the Eifel on our way to the Moselle – that is impressive. My OHL stuck with a lightness on the rear of my GT3 the almost sc And before anyone thinks that either I was too slow or my wife is just a corner robber, I have to answer that my OHL prefers to ride digitally on the AB with a “knife between the teeth”, but has considerable respect for curves and is therefore much slower than I am. o:-) Nevertheless, she has without any problems led a group on the Moselle tour. On the return trip through Moselle and Eif el with more confidence in the 992, I could clearly put a “schippe” on the front with the GT3 without which my wife slowed down or was lost. To this she said, that she only noticed the higher corner speeds technically when looking at the speedometer. 8) Over Pentecost I then tested our new convertible at the Moselle and drive it myself, I am curious if the “external” impression then confirms itself. According to the current state, I would say that the 992 in standard version (okay, with active rear-axle steering moves almost dynamically to 991.2 GT3 level, respect, what the PAG has taken out of there again:khat:. Thus, fortunately, the car is not a wrong purchase and was not only bought out of pity for the bonuses of the employees of the PAG, but this is a hammer vehicle. Positive points: chassis, engine power, speed cover, modern operating concept, … Negative points: The rear view with extended “Blasebalgspoiler” is not the chocolate side of the 992 but when I see it myself. Also the missing cigarette lighter (electricity connection) and the hollow hole (drink holder) in the center console was solved with the 991 optically nicer (with ashtray). We just wait for the aftermarket … So, it should have been with the first “personal” impressions of the 992, as far as one can speak without driving of personal impressions. Part 2 – The self-driving report: So, after I at the let The 992 4s convertible was able to move over 700 km through the Moselle, Hunsrück and Saarland, here is my subjective driving report: The chassis and the engine are an absolute banger, at any time the 11s has enough “bumms” to start sprinting almost without any effort and one now overtakes situations in which one might have waited before. Also the curve speed is very high immediately, without which one has the feeling to drive “last groove”. At the same time, the e Emotionality – at least for me – was almost completely lost. Compared to our 991.1 C4 or the 991.2 GT3 the engine sounds almost like a sewing machine, the SAGA doesn’t change anything. However, the feelings in the interior are mixed. On the one hand, the new digital cockpit finally arrived at the height of the time, but the withdrawal of the switches and buttons from my point of view is a clear step backwards in terms of usability. nothing, because on the one hand the occupancy is not really free, but predetermined (for example, you can’t place the start-stop automatic on a function key) and on the other hand the set status is only visible by repeatedly pressing the button with a short-term display of the status in the display or by hanging through the configuration in the main screen. A first stumbling block was the reset of the day-kilometre counter after refueling: the old button is gone, so manual is consulted In addition, there is no button that opens or closes all the windows at the same time in the convertible. Also, the small analog clock in the Sport Chrono clock has been lost, so the reading of the time is limited to the digital display, which works more or less well depending on the position of the sun. Was there anything else? Oh yes, zero series, so auc made h this time like 14 days ago the cover “Mucken”. Sometimes the cover could be opened or closed from the inside, sometimes not. Reliable it always worked only with the key, if the while the ride is in the host pockets, but it was also rather suboptimal. Speaking of key, who made up the Knubbel in the lock, was probably earlier at VW (and was fired there because of inability). There I laugh also always, when I see the start button e and that with a radio remote control but without a Keyless-Go. Now Porsche at least could have built a real key detour but not this ridiculous thing. Overall so light and shadow, because the 992 comes with us as a daily driver, you can (I) live with the lack of emotionality, for that I have fortunately still my GT3 and my OHL does not bother. Despite all, when the woes are cured, this is already a great wacky with outstanding F This is not the case in the United Kingdom.

Error electric parking brake parking brake Porsche Panamera 970 brake change brake discs
Moin to all MotorTalk friends, I have the following problem and hope you can help me. I have a Panamera 4.8S 970 year 2009 and recently had brake discs changed in front and back as well as coverings in an outdoor workshop. As far as possible. I drove home afterwards and put the car in the garage, but can not say anymore or can not remember whether I used the electric parking brake or not. Well yesterday, about 1 week later I got e i drove the car out of the garage and used the parking brake when turning off, and immediately the message received parking brake fault. It works perfectly however, and the error is also gone again when I switched ignition off and on again. As soon as I used the brake the error is there again. On the button flashes the red light and in the cockpit the yellow fault message. Can it be due to the service life, despite connected battery trainer? (C-Tek) Or if the brakes are renewed the E lektromotor recalibrated or driven in basic position? I can’t go to the workshop right now because A: Workshop 2 weeks all in quarantine B: Car is logged out. Do you have a tip, or does someone know a reliable software with which the brakes can be set to factory setting if necessary?

Change Porsche: Now!
Moin, I own a Macan S Facelift from 5/2019. When I saw the strong declines in new registrations, I configured a new Macan S out of curiosity and offered the “old” at the PZ for payment. The price was so advantageous that I signed the new contract today. For two reasons I consider the time for a vehicle change to be useful: – The currently offered conditions are extremely attractive. – If many of those who can, some money for Take a new car into our hands, then our economy is more helpful than if we are all waiting for the next economic stimulus package of the Federal Government. Right, my Macänchen does not save the German economy, but many new Macan, 911er, Taycan etc. would help manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and their staff directly. And all this without state aid, i.e. taxpayers’ money.

Panamera PIWIS/PST2 PIWISII 2 Tester Teiferlegung 35 mm Berlin
Hello, does someone know someone who knows someone in Berlin or nearer surroundings to lower a Porsche Panamera 4S 2011 air suspension with PIWIS 2 (or 3?) tester? In Sport+ mode (-20mm) it is almost optimal, but I don’t drive around all the time… So program -30mm or -35mm into the original control unit, who can do that? Thanks!

Full-year tires on Macan
Hello, I bought a used Macan SD a couple of weeks ago. He has the 20 inches with all-year tires on it. The rear 295ers are now still mobile, but for the winter is already too little profile on it. Now I think about whether I invest a few thousand euros in a 2 set rims with winter tires and then exchange the all-year tires in spring for summer tires or buy me now new GJR and drive the Macan with GJR. I want to ask if there are any here, the GJ R on the Macan and see these as sufficient even in winter. The choice of the brand, as far as the 295-er as GJR is concerned, is limited – there is only Pirelli All Season Verde if I see it correctly.
