  • I’m constantly being pushed

Hello, three weeks ago I bought my dream car, a Porsche Cayman S and am super satisfied. I am not a racer and also ride with the Porsche quite normal. But I notice every day that I am constantly pushed and forced to drive faster than allowed. Even from “weaker” cars I get provoked. If I drive with my Mercedes, that doesn’t happen. Why is that so? Basically, I don’t care because I don’t get involved, but I would have liked to know, o b is normal or what the other road users think about it. With a Porsche you have not the duty to drive faster than allowed. Thank you for your answers.

  • Mounted underfloor lighting, now car no longer starts.

Hello together, I have the following LED underfloor lighting set mounted on the vehicle. I took the power out of the fuse box and additionally secured it with a 15A ceramic fine fuse. But unfortunately nothing happens anymore when I turn the key. No mouse cinema, no radio, ZV without function…everything dead! Vehicle is a 911 from year 1999. Have checked all fuses, all in all. I hope no ECU has carried away a damage. Control unit of my Calibra’s duch damaged the installation of a multimedia system :S Is there a main fuse that has jumped off and thus shuts down all the electronics ? Thanks for your help, greeting

  • Transfer property Porsche 911(997) Tuning parts – TÜV?

Hello guys, I have been living in the USA for quite some time and will come back to Germany in September/October this year. I have been driving a 2006 Carrera S for almost a year and when I bought the car from the Porsche branch I had not thought about tuning parts and Germany. Here in the USA all this is seen relatively loosely (except in California) and therefore there is no documentation for tuning parts – i.e. material reports, parts reports, AB It’s missing. The previous owner has made a few minor modifications to the car. Nothing wild. My car has a carbon diffuser based on GRP (laminated carbon), which is mounted on the standard rear bumper. Furthermore, two highly polished exhaust panels – only the apertures, otherwise nothing has been changed on the exhaust system. Last but least: carbon mirror inserts (same quality as above) Nothing has been cut out or otherwise changed on the carbon parts. the car is completely standard. You can only see the changes if you know a 997 Carrera exactly, because the car itself is basalt black and the carbon adapts quite well to the coloration. The problem is in September then the TÜV. What possibilities do I have? Are there special measures for import vehicles that have installed such parts? Are these parts at all subject to entry requirements(The exhaust panels are not, as far as I know)? I don’t want to make the whole procedure any more cumbersome than it is now. What would you advise me to do? Thank you for your help!! Greetings from America, gdo

  • New Cayenne base gasoline with 300 hp

Hello dear Porsche community, I’m new here, so I would like to say hello for a moment. My dad bought my mom’s Cayman S Edition 1 2 years ago. That was his first Porsche and he was so excited about it that he now wants to buy the new Cayenne. The debate is now either the Cayenne Diesel or the Cayenne base gasoline with 3.6 liters and 300 hp. I recommended him the Cayenne S with 400 hp, but that’s too much of the good for him. My question would be now whether the new 3.6 liter base petrol is recommended. By this I mean on the one hand whether it is sparkling enough and on the other hand whether fuel consumption and sound are appealing. The old base gasoline at Cayenne I was not so the hit or?! Tend to the diesel at the moment almost more (although Porsche is atypical). I would be grateful if someone could tell me something about it. Vg Dominik

  • Tyre gas

A friendly hello, when I ordered my tires, the seller offered me the free filling with tire gas. I have not decided so far because I wanted to know first what your experiences with the gas are. It should have several advantages, but to be honest, do not believe. But I think it is certainly not bad either? What do you mean? Use it too? And last but not least, is the gas actually light air? Thank you for your Ant Word and your opinions in advance!

  • Sports exhaust system – which PZ for “switch solution”?

Moin moin, now that I have installed the desired wheels, should be retrofitted to complete the sports exhaust system – then it is “finished” and corresponds to my taste Have already asked for “my” PZ, but they do not offer the switch solution, as they have had some of their PZ installed afterwards. By switch solution I mean that one can influence the adjustment of the flaps themselves i.e. either continuous open, continuous closed or the norma with me in the PZ they don’t do it, but it would be technically feasible. My one or other of these switches in the PZ had it installed, if yes, where? Close to Cologne… It would be “a wash off” and probably shouldn’t cost anything extra. Another question: Is the retrofitting carried out in exchange i.e. do you get the “old” pots with you? Thanks in advance.

  • Immobiliser

I started to deal with the issue of immobilizers, but I’m not even sure to what extent it makes sense. My 992 is not a leasing vehicle. I came across the following novelty. https://www.bear-lock.de/products/circuit-lock-keyless I would like to know if there are any experiences in this respect or if anyone has ever dealt with this topic, if anything is installed in this way. was and how Porsche handles it as part of the warranty. Or whether there are solutions from Porsche itself in this regard.

  • 997 Rear lights – variations or original?

Good morning, I would be grateful for some advice/impressions to 997.1 rear lights. I don’t really like mine. Doesn’t really look like 997.2 LEDs. Actually, I wanted to upgrade to the original ones. But are there also nice alternatives???? Well, there are also black LED versions. Does someone have the turn (picture)? Or does that look too much like tuning? The turn signals are sometimes even “moving” – that could possibly look too much “basked”. With my CLS 218 I have d he side mirror LEDs converted to black and moving – I like it there. Is not too intrusive. Was there actually the option “dunkle” or “single color” rear lights in the pre-MOPF as an order option ? In my equipment brochure I did not find something like this and did not yet see it on the street. I would be grateful for a few pictures.

  • Winter bikes Cayenne vs. Cayenne Coupé

Servus together! Starting point: Soon my Cayenne Coupe (E3) will be delivered to me 20-inch summer tyres. Would now like to mount 21-inch winter bikes. Now I have read that the wheels of normal “Cayenne” (E3) should not fit on “Cayenne Coupé” (E3). Questions: (1) Are there differences between the wheels and if so, which ones? (2) What do I have to pay attention to? Bzw. how do you recognize the respective rim? Thank you! PS: Googeln has not helped.

  • Cayenne e-Hybrid (2020): only 26km range after full load

Hello everyone. Now I have for the second time only 26km range after full load. I already know that the specified 38km can only be reached at ideal temperatures (I also had very often in the summer!), but 26km is honestly a joke! But it has just about 0 degrees with us… What is then only in the “real” winter? I got the car in February as a new car and could not remember that I would have ever had under 30km range… Did someone like can the battery be broken or impaired? Greetings from Lower Austria!
