  • new Boxster (987 II) or prefer old Boxster S annual car

hi people, wil this year meet me a small wish and buy me a boxster. unfortunately I had to wait so long that the new boxster is already out. yesterday was in pz and must say that the new looks good but not necessarily better I find. the backlights I find could be better styled. but clearly a new model is always better. would you order the new or rather buy a year car than s or even a yearwa gen without s (that’s where I would save a lot :-)). last year had the normal one for the test drive and must say that it was really enough for me. was a really cool car. I just want to hear your opinion.

  • Battery, electronic problems Cayenne Turbo

We have been having problems with our Cayenne for months and the PZ did not get the deal even after the 4th workshop visit. When the ignition key is turned around, the following 2 warning messages light up: brake power distribution, air pressure suspension and the hint “bremspedal kick”, despite the pressed pedal. As long as these warnings run up, the engine can not be started either. After repeated on/off it starts at some point… The problem only emerges from time to time and irregularly The guesses in the PZ ranged from old, weak battery to defective control unit. Meanwhile everything has been checked several times, changed etc. but the error has now occurred again 2 weeks after the last visit. The interesting thing about the whole thing: with the car everything was always fine until we had it because of a defect of the vacuum hose/brake power amplifier in the repair. Did any of you already have similar problems or are there any solutions??

  • Help needed when buying 997 from Greece

Hello Motor-Talk friends, I’m thinking of buying a 997 S. Here I came across a 997 S model, which was re-registered in Germany, but bought in Greece (PZ) and was also moved. The second owner was transferred from Greece to Germany as a job and he took his vehicle with him to D. My question to you: are there differences to German cars? Performance differences / restrictions? Suspension differences? What do I have to pay attention to? Who has from you? Experience with EU vehicles? Thank you for your help

  • Taycan Cross Turismo

Good day, In the next few days the crossover combi version of Taycan will be presented… (in my opinion the better Taycan of both). Here I wanted to collect all the information and encourage discussion and discussion on the topic. Changes to the normal Taycan: 1. He will very likely get a trailer coupling (see picture), which will be very practical for me, which regularly has to pull a small trailer or transport bicycles 2. He gets a roof 3. It sits 2cm higher and can be pumped up by the air suspension again 3cm. That would then be maximum between 16-18cm depending on what the Taycan currently has in ground clearance 4. The glass roof is led up to the trunk, so you have not only through the roof shape but also the glass roof more headroom 5. The trunk is logically more practical and larger.

  • 992 problems

… new Porsche! AND… this morning at the start of the engine was shown: ‘gear failed. Turn off the vehicle traffic safe.’ Zero, riveted, nada, nothing .. Has anyone else done that? . [Transferred from engine talk from the topic ‘Porsche 992 – Gearbox’.]

  • Pipe sound in 996 C4 1999

Hello, I bought a 996 (1999er 3.4 Carrera 4) (Porsche specialized dealer) last week and I was surprised on the way home that the car inside quite loud (I call it sometimes) “whistles”. The sound is independent of speed (so it also gets when changing gears). Unfortunately I don’t have a 996 comparison, which is why I turn to you. The dealer where I bought it would be the last instance because it is quite far away. I once made a video. From about 70km/h it appears audible and remains audible until about 140km/h. After that it is either swallowed by the engine noise or disappears – I can’t quite say that. Can the noise be normal It sounds a little like in an airplane. Here is the link to the video:https://youtu.be/ykZ4FaL4X3U To the vehicle itself: mileage 195,000km, about 20,000km ago the engine was completely repaired or revised at a specialist company. I am grateful for advice and tips!

  • Porsche Macan Turbo, Porsche center too stupid, right?

Moin Dear Porsche Community, today our new Macan Turbo came into our car family. We asked to program the Start Stop function, as with our 911er from 2014. Now Porsche says that it is “supposedly” from May this year no more, is that true, or has someone deactivated the Start Stop on its current model? With the request for info….a few pictures on it Thanks and greeting from Wentorf

  • Set valves ???

so after the start problem of my 924 has now been solved, a new one is waiting, with all the others in the 5th the belt squeaks, what I think is regulated with the time since the belt is new, and only two days ago I was strained. the problem the mic at the moment is more dead that the motor is heavily clacked and just with the speed of the car always clacks louder. the problem could not be properly adjusted valves or ??? a vw workshop wants for the e put in first special goods and 60 euro at least for one, however, it could also be a problem with the hydro chairs and not at all that of the valves. how can you find this ?? in empty run or if you go without a walk on the gas clacks even nothing, only with inserted passage from 2000 u/min always louder. how would you proceed ??? are 60 euro too much or appropriate ??? and still a try, somewhere it blows off, because the exhaust is brand new I think it is the Kruemer, how high is the wall at the change and can I do it myself as a screwdrift, or can it even be only the Kruemmer gaskets ?? many thanks in advance

  • 991 vs. 997

Question to the better-knowers: Am wild determined to buy my first 911er (Cabriolet). How much lengths is the new one “better” compared to the 997? From the point of view of those who have both already driven, is the extra price for the 991 compared to a regular 2011 used one? To the info: I’m more a connoisseur than a wild race track heater; in other words, it’s supposed to be a summer cruiser.
