  • Used purchase PZ vs. free dealer

Hello guys! I’m planning to buy a used Porsche Macan as a second car in the near future, with up to max. 50K mileage. I’ve only been looking for the PZs or the official Porsche site. What do you think there is a greater risk if you buy from a free dealer or privately. I’m always a bit skeptical, especially with such a car, but I’m also layman in the topic of Porsche. What do you think you can also look for with free dealers, or rather turn to the PZs. V you have already more experiences than I have! Many greetings

  • Range calculation 911 Turbo S Cabrio vs. tank contents

Hello, have a serious problem with the range calculation in my 2011 911 Turbo S convertible. Otherwise a mega horny car, but if the range already indicates === (i.e., less than 15 km range), then I can refuel a maximum of 59 liters. However, the tank has been checked with just under 67 liters. So it is due to the range calculation in the on-board computer. Various tests with very conservative or dynamic driving behavior or a new tanker made no difference. if you can’t trust the range calculation, the everyday fitness and the joy of driving on exits. Who has similar problems? Greeting Christian

  • Taycan base: turning circle and range

The new Taycan with rear wheel drive has now been introduced and I wonder if Porsche exploits the potential of the turning circle. Without driven front wheels you could take these further. That brings about 1.5 m less turning circle. For example, a VW Passat according to ADAC measurement has 11.6 m turning circle and an ID.3 with about the same wheelbase (1 cm less, as also ID.4) 10.1 m. Thus the base-Taycan would be even more attractive. Does anyone know something? The expensive rear wheel steering brings r about half a meter. (in contrast to the new S-Class, which has 10.5 m turning circle with the rear wheel steering) Btw: How do you see the base-Taycan and 4S in comparison? Would the 4S be worth the approx. 23000 € more for you? I find the range interesting with the base-Taycan. You hardly need the larger battery. The 431 km after WLTP with small battery are already as much as an Audi E-Tron 55 (=large Audi battery) and more than a Taycan Turbo S with large battery. For 5710 € you get with the Taycan 484 km s The 4S has a small battery of 408 km or 464 km with a large battery, the turbo with a large battery of 452 km and the Turbo S with a large battery of 417 km. However, the strong versions already have large wheels included (21″ for the Turbo S). With the same 21″ wheels, the range of the base speedcan decreases from 431 km to 394 km and from 484 km to 440 km. Thus, the range gain without the engine at the front is limited. With the same wheels the 4S with a large battery of only 17 km less than the base. j. Edit: I asked Porsche via chat: The base-Taycan unfortunately has no smaller turning circle than the 4S. Let the thread stand, however, since the range is also a topic.

  • Used car purchase Panamera e-hybrid

hallöchen, I intend to buy a 2018 Panamera e-Hybrid (40t km) from a dealer. Since the warranty on the part of Porsche has already expired, I had thought to get the approved from Porsche or with e.g. Intec warranty something to complete. Before I wanted to look roughly if everything fits. Everything that sensor-wise no display has I roughly checked. Now I wanted to check the battery. It shows with full charge only 29 km range. Can that be? Is there anything else that I can do? Thank you.

  • Weak power High-voltage battery

Hello forum, bought a Panamera SE Hybrid used in November 2019 (built in 2016). From the beginning I was disappointed with the purely electric driving performance. About 15-18km. I then had a check made at the PZ. The “error” was probably due to a defective capacitor. After that it was not really better. Currently the display after charging is 13-15km, the driving performance is 8-10km. By the PZ this status was checked and confirmed, and a corresponding request to fix the M From here, however, the answer came, everything is OK at the time of the year. In the last winter, which was also colder, the power was even higher. Besides, the battery can no longer be fully charged. You drive with a car, with useless battery, after all, 200kg which have to be moved. Has someone experience, whether a replacement of the battery by Porsche ever occurred here, or whether a request for return due to a lack of promised vehicle feature le, here in particular the lack of system power due to failure battery could be successful.

  • Feedback to Porsche

Hello together, as everyone already knows, the new Macan will probably only be driven electrically in the medium term. Of course, everyone may have their own preference here, but I personally don’t like it at all, because I often drive from Innsbruck to Hamburg and then with such an e-car it would take an hour to shop in Munich. What the whole track would then play out like this… What I haven’t found is a way to get constructive feedback on Porsche Do you know anything? Greetings

  • Price development at 924/924S

I have to bother you with my “suffering”: For 2 months I have been thinking about getting a vintage or a young car as a second car. Current favourite is a fully galvanized 924 or a 924S, but I really don’t have to hurry with the purchase. The whole thing will have to wait until 2013 … I want to inform myself all around, have the coal together and wait for a good catch. When I started the internet search for these models, I found vi ele driving reports and purchase advices, which create a good overview of Pro and Contra. I also read, however, that recently used cars generally serve as a plant and thus the prices have risen strongly. This is also reflected in the comparison between the older reports with the current price level at mobile & Co.! “Ordinary” models are available depending on the model and unnegotiated from 5,000; “Good” with complete history probably only starting from 9,000 … Your opinion is in demand: Is this global galactic statement primarily true for 911, Pagoda & Co., or is the (then frowned) housewife Porsche 924 also affected?

  • 944 Buy or not ???

Moin people offered me yesterday a 944 Built 1982 120Kw and 160Tkm for 3000 Euro, I have been looking for a youngtimer for my son for a long time to introduce him to the scene. I myself collect for years old italo classics and currently drive an Audi Cabrio with V6 engine. What does this look like with the maintenance work (costs) and the reliability? I believe most parts come from the VAG shelf and are quite affordable. Please give me your assessment…. Mf g Christian

  • Ferrari California/ Porsche 997 Turbo

Hello dear Porschecommunity, does someone from the forum have experiences with the Ferrari California? This is in the meantime relatively(!) cheap available and I read that the maintenance costs should not be too high. Does someone have accurate data about this? Consumption is about as stated as with the 997 Turbo I (13.8 liters). But now you can drive the turbo between 8 liters and 26 liters/ 100Km. On average, with quite high land road share around 13.5 liters. Is the vehicle sporty with less than 20 liters in high road parts? I read that the Ferrari only needs Super, but can’t imagine it. Does anyone know what to do with it? Inspections are every 20,000km (?). Costs? Can anyone give me explanations about Ferrari’s power guarantee? (cost? runtime=max. 10years?) What about the wear and tear when driving relaxed? Similar to Porsche or do some things have to be renewed more often? Turbo has already 305s on the HA. What about the Ferrari? And lastly on the topic of insurance. The Turbo is far from cheap. Is the Ferrari so much more expensive? Thank you already in advance. Greetings P.S: I am interested in the information. I do not plan the purchase of a Ferrari. P.P.S: Please only serious answers and no hostility. Do not feel like a kind of thread as it was often observed last time. If you just want to provoke, bi I wouldn’t write anything.

  • Cayman S with 19″ in winter – experiences?

Hello together, am now a happy owner of a Cayman S and still need winter tires+ rims. Does anyone from the forum experience with 19″ in winter? Advantages, disadvantages? Is warranty problems to be reckoned with when using rims from other manufacturers like OZ or ASA Tech? I ask because I bought the car in a Porsche center and also plan to leave the always waiting there. Not that tell me your warranty does not apply because it does not use original Porsche rims h Porsche itself of course always proposes their own rims and even advises from third-party manufacturers. Thank you for your help in advance. Gruss Chiefpilot
