  • OBD II plug does not fit on ????

Hello all, modest question in the round: Does the normal (standardized) OBD II plug from the VCDS not fit to the port in 997 ?? Up to half the plug goes in, then rather undefined difficult. I did not want to push the same with another OBD II plug. I just wanted to test if anything could be read out. So both VCDS and ODIS (can I probably save myself.) Thank you very much already greetings Rick

  • US Import 997 TÜV/ DEKRA Room Stuttgart or Saarland, please recommend ????

Hello together, I found nothing about the search so created new topic. I am happy owner of a used 997 S, bought from an official Porsche dealer in USA. Think to know all necessary conversion measures, but want to avoid in particular by an oversensitive examiner the two Xenon lamps because of lack of E sign, or even to exchange further nonsense on the car. Who has experience here and can a TÜV/DEKRA in the greater Stuttgart ode r Saarland recommend, who here accommodating and uncomplicatedly loses the car? Thank you for your answers. Michael

  • 987 S – Delimitation of the 3.2l and the 3.4l variants?

Hello Porsche-Gemeinde, I plan with the start of the summer season possibly. the purchase of a used Boxster S! price range so around 40,000,-€ with as low mileage as possible and proper equipment. Therefore my question – to what extent do the two engine variants with 280hp and 295hp differ or are there model-specific peculiarities and peculiarities, which have to be considered during the purchase? And does this happen with the driving performances and consumption values according to your experience Is this also true for the 3.2? This brings me to the third part of my question: How important is the possibility that a Porsche guarantee can possibly be completed or extended when buying second-hand goods? This is always the subject of numerous offers. But somehow it bothers me a little bit that I seem to have a supposed KW. Onstruction error should additionally cover itself financially with almost 1,000,- €/year! Especially a possible replacement of the crankshaftsimmering once also not significantly more costs… Speak then such an insurance at all – or can there still other surprises lurk? I would be very pleased about your feedback. Greetz the OZ

  • 911er / Boxster to rent over the weekend

Hello Porsche driver! Which non-Porsche owner doesn’t dream about it – once such a bullet drive. That’s why I would like to borrow a weekend (300-500km). Who has done this before and knows the prices, the dealers demand for such an action? Thanks in advance for your answers Ciao, Eric PS: I don’t want to catch a test drive and tell a salesman about any planned Porsche purchase. (to get ahead of such suggestions)

  • Buy Porsche Boxster 986 cheap?

Good day, I would like to buy a Boxster 986 (Bj. ’97-’00) for moderate money. Do you make a mistake with this 2.5 liter series? The KWS problem is known to me. Have so far driven an Audi TT Roadster 8N Built ’00 and managed to cope with the variable costs (inspection, oil, gasoline, etc.). The costs will be relatively identical, do I assume, or have I not taken into account something? Have been confirmed several times that you can also refuel normal super ka nn. Can you buy a Porsche with a well-kept SH and unbasked with more than 150 tkm, or is you quickly poor due to workshop costs? e.g.: http://suche.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… btw: This is otherwise unbasked and PZ SH maintained. Maybe I would also put a little zaster on it to afford me a lower speedometer. http://cgi.ebay.de/…/230473630734?… Do you have to be careful with sports exhausts? Is the standard system in this boxster series bearable? What do you think about US import? Can one effectively save a lot? If such a cart has 150 tkm on it, when does the small and when large inspection come, how does it differ in terms of price, content (what is done)? Can one do something for yourself? PS: I know the search function, have used it actively, but I would still like “new” knowledge. Please don’t talk to each other.

  • Cayenne – a few questions

A warm hello from the BMW Forum I have a few questions about the new Cayenne, hopefully there is someone who can help me: – Are there any pictures of Amethyst? Will the color be delivered from July or is it only available from July? And can you compare it with ruby black at BMW? – Has anyone already seen the combination of the interior with the cream/brown and even has ev. live images? – How big will the difference between S and Turbo be, not only motorically but from the optics (Spezi opinion asked ) – For me, the two can hardly be distinguished from each other, sometimes apart from the exhaust and the slightly changed air intakes at the front. Are there differences in width, especially the fender? – I also wanted to ask how the Navi is operated? Is it a touchscreen or similar to BMW with a central button operable? Is there possibly even a function like in the new A8 that you can write the letters? – Is a Night-V ision available? – Is there a massage function in the comfort seats? – Is the surcharge of several tens of thousand euros to the turbo justified? – Is the Porsche also, similar to the BMW models, delivered on Runflat tyres? And is there also a possibility to have the car delivered on the standard rims with winter tires? – last but not least – what conditions can you expect? Here rather C.O.D. or C.W.O. instead of great discounts which are then brought in in in the lease if you I know what I mean. Thank you already in advance for your efforts to help a Porschelieen here.. Look forward to an exciting thread, Gruss Martin

  • Porsche experience – driving day 2013

Hello, have received an invitation to the Porsche driving day in May at the Nürburgring. Has any of you ever participated in such an event and can tell me what to expect there? Unfortunately, there are relatively few information in my documents. VG Nick

  • Buy Porsche for 10,000€? Looking for advice

Hello, just in advance, there are no holidays, nor am I bored I am currently looking for a new car. Budget is 10,000 € with 2000 in the backhand for possible repairs/maintenance work. Now it is the case that the apparently “decent” 986 boxsters have arrived at the 10,000 mark. Don’t talk about all the last crankshaft-simmering RHD RestTÜV carts! Of course, the offers seem super tempting, but then the voice of reason is in the back imagining the horrendous Porsche-Vertragswerkstatt-Studensatze in the mind. The taxes and insurance are in the frame of the car. I don’t care about the consumption so that the car would represent a pure hobby for me. Accordingly, the whole project stands and falls with the workshop costs. What is your opinion about it? Can one shoot for 10,000 a decent boxster, which does not cause you a headache or could I just as well dig a hole, throw in money every month u And burn it? I look forward to the discourse with you!

  • Experiences with Porsche Center

Hello together, in July 2010 I brought my Boxter BJ. 1987 , 265000 km to the Porschezentrum Inntal to the reperature. Cause was a sign (motor ) in the Armaturen Anzeigenfeld. When after 6 weeks !!!! the “damage” was not located in the yet, I said, please write together, what I am guilty so far. On that they replied to me 4850,– Euro !! But you still found garnix, no… they told me, we do not know, but we already have so much When I then switched on an expert and initiated a proof-proof procedure, the dispute with my boxer really started. The vehicle was sent to the Porsche Center in Munich….I wanted a neutral place….. not with me…not with the “Inntaler” The expert found that there was a crack at the oil filler, because of which the engine “pulls” at higher speeds false air, the control unit tries to compensate this and makes the half the error message “motor” visible in the display from the dashboard. Reperature costs of the stun 28,– Euro with installation approx. 280,– Euro. So, the vehicle back from Munich to the Inntaler (that was a big mistake) and both parties have 14 days time to steal. What does the PZ “Inntaler” He drives again with the boxer !!! Without expert!! Without order from the court !! Without my consent in a proof-securing procedure !!! …and claims…the fault lamp (Mo In this 2nd report, it was found that the control unit was opened….inside plugs have broken off and cold solder points have loosened. The best thing, however, is that in the time of the first 6 weeks, the Inntaler sent the control unit for verification to a specialist company that has not opened the control unit…. So now since you started… In the meantime 2 years have passed !! and PZ “Inntaler” still has mei n Car !!!

  • Long-term quality Cayenne Diesel

Since I got my new Cayenne Diesel 4 weeks ago, I hear from some sides (……maybe envious!) that the Cayenne should not be very good in terms of long-term quality. Since I always drive my private cars at least 7 years or about 120,000 km, I am not crazy now because of this, but certainly my thoughts. In my X5 past I was spoiled – had actually never had any problems. Except normal service was actually nothing. n Feedback from Cay.Diesel drivers are interested in who already have many kilometers on the clock.
