  • Porsche Cayenne Delivery without rim protection

Hello dear forum members, it is about a new car Porsche Cayenne which was delivered ex factory with 21 inch rims. There are 295 Yokohama Advan Sport N1 from Porsche which offer no protection for the rim, without rim protection edge. The rim stands out at height of 5 cm about 1 cm above the tires, curb damage are preprogrammed. Strangely enough, however, the so far seen demonstration cars from Porsche have all Michelin tires on it that have a thick protective edge. I ch have phoned with Yokohama today, statement: Porsche orders for the original equipment always the cheapest tires without rim protection edge ??? Who knows here what ? Thank you ! Greeting Robert

  • “Irritable colour” yellow or red ?

Except for the new fashion color white, almost all cars of the upper class are bought in black, silver, grey. Is certainly “more noble ” to sell better and has a more subtle effect on customers and neighbors. But now I find with the sports car red or even better yellow with black leather beautiful. Just consider whether something like this can be sold well after 3-5 years and …. whether it works for ” key scratchers ” and people want to challenge the ones on the road not even more provocative ?

  • 997 FL Cabrio – can be bought / sold as a switch

Hello municipality, I have a question for those who have been dealing with Porsche 911 for a long time or longer: so far I had and have had many Mercedes’e as well as more than a few old and youngtimers in the fleet. But I was offered a 997 (Facelift) convertible in the circle of acquaintances, from first doctor’s hand. The vehicle is perfectly maintained check booklet and in a very neat condition, I looked at it last week and I also drove it sample. My question now: Myself is not interested at all, that has a manual transmission, to which he has very short switching distances, because I have still other cars and will not drive very much with it. But it is just a cheap offer, but I do not want to, if I will sell the car again in the future, stand before the problem, that as a switch then no one wants to have it then ??? I asked in my acquaintance circle, who told me that exactly this car from the year of construction (2009) a very tol Is that true? Thank you very much, if one or the other between the years can give me a short feedback on my question. I don’t need the tip to simply drive one with automatic, but I don’t need it, because I only buy the (possibly) now, because it is from 1st hand (also no demonstration car was according to letter) and a cheap offer, otherwise I wouldn’t have a elf z we want to buy time, because I have enough cars. But one should certainly not miss an opportunity 😉 Thank you and nice celebration/holidays

  • Why a Porsche?Image,Prestige,Design,Performance,Value conservation,o.a.

Hello, Why do people drive Porsche? What fascinates someone to invest so much money? The question is also addressed to the fans and potential future Porsche drivers. My purchase motive for the Cayman S was exclusively the closed mid-engine sports car with classic rear drive (so no four-wheel drive). It is available in a car that is suitable for everyday use everywhere only from Porsche. Had it taken from any other brand with almost the same performance. Cayman S doesn’t. I regularly catch myself not looking at him after leaving. My sports car ideal must have a high crash tail with a short overhang. After a good 13 months and 12000 km I am neither disappointed nor upset. He has 30/40 hp too little and the lack of locking differential pushes something on the mood. (For those who should not know:I belong to the 911 he antifraction.Primary for optical reasons-very short wheelbase and even longer overhangs) G Ruß Kühli

  • The next 997

Hello together, after a lot of considerations I have come to the decision to get a 911. But still have some concerns, that the fair clientele thinks it would be too good for you. Maybe I have to drive forward with the second car. How about the possible envy factor of the customers with you? Is obviously a typical German problem – in other countries one likes to do business with obviously successful entrepreneurs.

  • Cayman vs. Audi TT in AMS

Now we have it black and white. The Audi TT drives the Cayman away in almost all respects. This even with almost 50hp lower performance. Also in the Porsche domain “less weight stings brute performance” is the TT front. After the majority owner of AMS supports both producers we can assume that the test was objective (should not mean that other tests are not objective). To me this just tells that we can be happy Porsche in the VW Group again f Developments in the direction of weight reduction and increased performance while reducing consumption are no longer possible for a “small” company such as Porsche alone. Forecast for the future: I am continuing to drive Porsche and VW is entering the F1 (under which manufacturer’s abbreviation??).

  • 911 997 Cf Series suspension to PASM comfort

Hi I have been playing with the idea of buying a 997 for a long time… On my wish list the PASM is at the top, because I heard that the car is very comfortable with it. Since I have back problems, I therefore put a lot of value on it! Since I have unfortunately found that the car can not have a sunroof (I am 193cm tall), the search is not easy…. I have now found 2 cars, which are however further away and thus a test drive a little heavy he is….. A front mopf and a rear-mopf model. So my question: Is there a great difference in comfort between series suspension and PASM in comfort mode? Was there anything changed during the model maintenance on the chassis? Other damper characteristic? Thank you

  • Porsche 930 Turbo. A question regarding steam wheel and WLS

Hello Porsche Community, I am interested in the Porsche 930 Turbo and have a few questions about this. At the Techno Classica in Essen I looked at various 930 Turbo and asked myself the following question: There were models that had mounted a steam wheel in the front of the center console (quasi already almost under the armarur board). At least I thought the rotary controller was correct, if it is none. Other models, on the other hand, had d My question is now, is this variation dependent on the engine (3.0L and 3.3L) or does that have another reason? My second question is whether there was the possibility of one or even more WLS for both variants. Thank you for the answers Best regards Peter
