  • Purchase decision 997

Hello municipality, I’m new here in the forum and am currently making the decision to get pregnant with a used 911 997. Currently I have been ferrying a Opel Speedster for 7 years, which is also really fun. I feel a little more mature with 35 now and want to express this also with the mobile kit. The consideration goes to the fact that I want to get the 997. My limit is thus about 40,000 euros, which it can cost. If I look around at car smugglers and mobile I think it’s realistic. Often I have seen foreign registrations. These are much cheaper. Does something speak against such an increase? If so what? What should I look out for when I enter the buy negotiations? What is the problem? Is there what I should pay attention to with the engine? What with a certain number of kilometers with a high probability appearance? It would be great if you had to use the approximate price league of bigger things that could appear could list so that I have a house number, which can come to me so. Are many questions, I know, but I was pleased about a lively sympathy. Thank you in advance! Greeting Kai

  • Finally Spring

Dear Porsche community, I have equipped my 997 with season marks for the first time. Due to the weather conditions, I did not bring it back to life on 01.03, but I want to make this up for this weekend. To “storage” I had increased the air pressure on all tires properly (and changed the car position every four weeks), connected the battery charger and filled the tank 3/4. Is there anything special – out of control and adjustment of the tyre pressure – u note if I take the car back into operation after almost 5 months? Greeting from Hamburg HH-ML

  • How do I drive a Porsche correctly?

The title says it already, this is for absolute professionals! But seriously. I would like to know how you should drive your Porsche or how you should generally drive a Porsche and above all warm it up. Do you drive e.g. at max. 2000 turns until it is warm (I heard at a car show that you should do it). Or do you switch it sooner or later? And if it is warm, how do you drive? Of course, you can drive 50 in 5 or 6 gears but can’t drive it anywhere, too. I personally prefer to drive him in the 3rd gear in the city. There he is the most beautiful. But now some may say that it is not good to drive the car at 50 or 60 things in the 3rd gear and only at the above speeds in the 4th gear. If you have time and desire, you can tell me your driving technique. Please leave the fuel consumption outside, I have to know what is best (in the long term) for the Gracias!

  • Macan Diesel Sport Auspuff NEW

Hello, someone has information about how the new sports exhaust is built up via the Exclusive program. Shutter makes little sense with the diesel engine – does this go towards Audi (sound generator a la Ebersbächer)? What can you expect for just under €2500? Also only a relatively detaching other end pot (as written here by the petrol driver b time and again)

  • Trailer coupling preparation

Since I am interested in a Cayenne from 2013 onwards, I read again and again about “Supplier coupling preparation”. What effort, technically and financially, is necessary to get the AHK that is necessary for me. A complete retrofit is supposed to be very complex, as can be read here in the forum. Thank you and greeting Rolf

  • The Crazy Car – Stories from the Life of a Passion

Dear Porsche friends, maybe you have already read my short stories here in the forum, which I had hired here from time to time. It is about experiences around my 911s and the 356s, which I have been driving since 2005. I have now published these 65 short stories in the form of a book with the above title. The book is currently still in print in the publishing house, is then edited by the bookbinder and is then available from 10.12.18 onwards. It has 230 Se iten and is printed in DIN A5 format. It costs 11,90 €. It also has an ISBN number and is of course available in bookstores. But this only works after 10.12.18 You can order this book in advance with me. Together with the postage it costs 13,60 €. If you want to order it with me, then send me an e-mail with your address. You will then receive the book and the invoice with the account details. Mail to : [email protected] So that you can get on it once One of 65 stories below is to be read again. Have fun reading and a nice day Wolfgang —————— Once in life We know this. Once in life you should have built a house, fathered a child and planted a tree. Isn’t there something missing, I think? Doesn’t a car belong in this list? Well, you can now be different opinion. Cars have several, houses probably less over the years. So if, then a special Au to. Maybe a Ferrari? A Lamborghini? An Aston Martin? No, a Porsche should be it. With it we connect the history of our Federal Republic. She is 70 years old, Porsche as well and what a coincidence, I am too. So it fits! The time of maturity has passed, we taste the fruits of our vintage. I had decided to fulfill a long cherished dream. I had already consulted various Porsche centers, with the then (2004) just e The Inter-Enet, more precisely, the second-hand car search of Porsche, gave me the opportunity to get to know 911 of the most varied versions, equipment and colors. So I came across the Porsche Center Reutlingen, near Stuttgart. An arctissilver 911 convertible from March 2005, with proper equipment and everything that could be used in the car. The decision was made. I wanted to pay a visit to the PZ. On October 28th, 2005, I went south with my almost 10 year old E-Class in joyous anticipation. In the early afternoon, I was also in Reutlingen. Shortly afterwards, I was in front of the PZ. Should the beginning of a very special friendship be laid here? It was not necessary, but I had to get my pulse up as high as if I had just come from my jogging lap. Sober (can a two-meter man seem shy?) I entered the bright inner of the Porsche center. Only a moment later I heard the question: “Can I help you?”. Now I would have almost said: “Do they just pack me a Porche, maybe the Red one back there?” But I had a date. I introduced myself. “Did we talk to each other, was my counter question? A colleague had already noticed it, came to me, greeted me kindly and led the way. I had never previously sat in a car where I immediately felt so familiar. I had quickly grasped the most important functions, set the seat correctly, and my questions had gone away, so he offered me to test the car first. Of course I couldn’t say no and now what I had already described elsewhere follows, which very quickly leads to being unable to return, but I was not able to get back to the car. I had to go back to the PZ. It had to be that way, I thought. Soon we agreed on the payment methods. At the end of November I wanted to pick him up. A short coffee a few more photos and I was already on my way to Münsterland. A month later. I had dealt extensively with the car, because the operating instructions were kindly given to me. After some phone calls and waiting for the car, I had to wait and see. The 111-point check, we had agreed to pick up the car on November 25, 2005. The easiest way was to connect it with a comfortable train ride. But already in Münster, what was to end later as weather chaos in the Münsterland with the tearing of the overland lines and the collapse of numerous power poles was announced. Did I really choose the right time to pick up? As it turned out later, I left my family in the snow chaos. But my boys, who changed from their student booth in Münster to their parents’ house at an early stage, soon had the situation completely under control. Power failure for several days at temperatures below zero degrees, that’s not too fun. It all went well, but my tips had to be set by phone after a short time, as the network collapsed. A story of the special variety developed. I sat on the train, had a nice unknown interlocutor vis-à-vis un d didn’t know anything about al-ledem for the time being. The train ended for me in Stuttgart and how is it going? Regio-nalbahn? I asked a taxi driver for the right connection. “Get in,” he says, “I’ll give them a special price.” I took the offer to drive 40 km. The PZ Reutlingen was quickly reached after a relaxed ride. I thanked the taxi driver, pressed the Obolus into his hand and he was already on his way to the next order. I was already getting to know him. The formalities were soon finished. I was quite excited about the fact that my new car was now completely under my own responsibility. After all, you don’t spend such sums every day for anything. My contact home quickly opened up the unpleasant side of today. Also in Reutlingen more snow fell steadily. I looked for a hotel, let’s see how it goes on tomorrow. The snow drifting became stronger and stronger, the road slowly but surely to the slide. I was a little bit afraid of my new car (how come I’m not around me?) and tried to dump a hotel from the highway. Fortunately, I soon saw a brightly illuminated sign with a hint. Next descent down, after two kilometers the hotel was found. In the meantime it was 7 pm and I had actually passed the pleasure of driving. Friendlyly the lady received me at the reception. But then they got lucky, they got the last Zimm he today. A little distracted I watched the snowflakes outside funny and thought only – that fit! My room was pleasantly warm, even looking at my car. Did I even lock it? I tried to operate it by remote control, actually, it went from the room, but is it now closed? Twice blinked? I don’t want to risk it, and I didn’t say goodbye to it at all. So jacket on, off outside, the car was closed, so the car was closed, so I didn’t want to risk it, and I didn’t want to say goodbye to it at all. Was he up earlier? What’s up, everything ok. Slowly my stomach came in, at the reception I got the information, the kitchen is closed unfortunately, but we can make a few cuts for them. “Very friendly, I replied, “Can they bring everything to the room?” Something was done I entered my room. Where was my fucking car key now? At the same moment the phone rang. “Did they leave their key here?, did it crawl over to me? The next morning. A look from the window revealed nothing good. But now breakfast was announced. A second look outside, it didn’t snow anymore, but the night had come down a lot of snow. I paid my room, thought briefly about whether I had forgotten anything and went cautiously. Steps to the car. There he stood, peaceful, a little snowy, not so nice for a convertible, but he looked good. With my glove the last snow was driven away from the car, almost I would have laid on my nose while getting on. I got in, let on the engine and immediately he bubbered diligently in front of him. It started, still 500 km I had to drive. Whether this was going well? The highway was relatively free, but the higher I came, the more firm the snow cover became. I was at first I tried to get back to my home. On the radio I heard for the first time something about the snow chaos in Münsterland. I was not good at all. I sneaked through the landscape and was supposed to be at home now. Time went by quickly. I got into a snowstorm and thought about leaving the Autobahn again. I was going to get back to my home, and I was going to get back to work. But the Sauerland line soon came to an end and I slowly got ground under my feet again. Still 50 km, it was early afternoon. The snow clearing service had all the ‘saws’ to do. In the meantime it was dark, the xenon light of the Porsche was class, the still white snow reflected violently. I bent into my road, everything dark. Now I understood, the electricity was out, nowhere burned light, sometimes I saw a candle flickering. Christmas mood? No, it wasn’t fun anymore. I immediately remembered the consequences of the blackout. My key pushed into the lock, I heard my wife’s voice. We hugged each other, the boys were there too, lucky, I thought. Where’s the car? Oh, I had forgotten that now, we stomped through the snow, he stood there, dumbed and innocent. Great, but he’s beautiful, I hear the guys say. My wife reacted a little more cautiously. I spoke a word of power: ” Let’s see how we can fix this. I immediately remembered the power generator in the RV, after 5 minutes I had made a connection and searched out a line on which the freezer was hanging. The generator immediately jumped on, the light was burning at the entrance, the freezer was surring, the heating was running again. Great, everything was saved. I ran through the house and exhibited everything that was hanging on the generator but not needed. My wife shouted up:, “Does the water bed spark?” Luckily, I was able to connect it to a current-leading line. I let myself fall into the chair with ease, only now I noticed the tension of the last two days, but everything had gone well. The car was standing in the garage, the defective power supply had found a solution and we were back together again. I could only say, thank God, this only happens ‘IN THE LIFE’.

  • Taycan – Defect on day 4 (12V problem)

Hi Together, After exactly 4 days, my new Taycan unfortunately does not work at all. After about 15h on the charging cable (normal socket – battery level before approx. 30%) the vehicle is completely dead. It burns no light and reacts to nothing. The key flash red (see picture) when I press it, normal? Didn’t notice before. Did anyone ever have this problem? Besides, the charging plug can’t be pulled off. But what would be necessary to get the car out of the garage. (Garage ntor is very tight). So towing will be difficult. Porsche Assistance is informed and is looking for a solution! I’m curious how to solve the number! I’ll report…

  • Driving characteristics All-wheel drive or rear wheel drive: 911S or 4S?

Hello, I’m thinking about getting either a new 997 Carrera 2S or Carrera 4S each with PDK. I’ve already tested the 2S with PDK. Who can say something about the differences in driving characteristics on the basis of their own impressions. P.S.: Vehicle is not necessarily driven in winter, as there is still an SUV. The other differences like consumption, trunk, 4S wider with wider tyres are known to me. Thanks in advance

  • Maintenance costs Porsche Cayman Built 2014/15

Hello together, I play with the idea of buying a used Porsche Cayman for about 40,000 euros. However, I wonder if I can/will pay for the maintenance. Does someone drive a Cayman here and can tell me what I should calculate about? What does the insurance cost? Inspections? Wear repairs? Tax? Additional costs? Am I at 300 euros per month plus petrol in about the right way? Thank you in advance!
