  • From TT to 987???

Hello Porsche Forum municipality! I’m out here as a newcomer and still TT driver. I’ve been driving a fully equipped TT Coupé 180 hp with MTM exhaust system (two-flooded). I decided on the TT at the time because I really liked it (it’s a taste thing, but I still think it’s nice!) , the car gives me a lot of driving pleasure and I could afford it –Cash– (I’m old-fashioned, and don’t blame myself for a car) I never had trouble with the TT, d he processing is very high-quality (it still does nothing and the car is extremely torpedo stiff) and since the collection at the factory also a bit Audi enthusiast. So much for the history. Now I think about buying a 987 boxster. Not because the TT is no longer fun for me, but after 4 years at the latest is a good time to upgrade (the new TT model comes 2006. Therefore prefers to sell before) In my current life phase I also want a sp Asscabrio, before I have to buy a pair 😉 In this post I want to clarify the question: Boxster or the Boxster S: I have read many threads on this topic here, but maybe I can also get an answer from similar thinkers to my situation. Would the 240 HP Boxster be enough as a upgrade when you come from a 180 HP TT? I am not a proven racing driver, but I still ride a slightly hotter boot sometimes. Would 80% I didn’t want to be driven to the wall by any GTI-s (nothing against GTI drivers in principle, but with a Porsche I would be angry at that). I drove a Calibra Turbo in 1994 (youth sin 😉 ) and at 245 km/h I pointed out some older Porsche on the middle track. That was certainly not so great 😉 The extra charge for the I don’t want to be annoyed for 3 years either, not to have taken the step to the “S”…

  • Why not the 996 turbo instead of 997 ??

Hello dear 997 driver ( future drivers ) !!! One thing I don’t understand ! Why don’t you buy a 996 turbo instead of a 997 ??? You get a reasonable turbo for 70,000 euros with a mileage of 30,000 km in the PZ !! These cars have all FULL EQUIPMENT (series) and an output of 420 resp. 450 hp ! You must also assume that the 997 models at the beginning certainly have childhood diseases ! However, the turbo is in my opinion the most mature 911 of all Zei Is that right?

  • Porsche 964 at the Nordschleife

Hi guys, something funny happened to me on the weekend. I was with a friend on the Nordschleife, who finished a Porsche 964. Everything was done on sports, the vehicle now has 300 hp and 400 NM. Very rough car. So we went to the Nordschleife on Saturday, try out how it goes. Everything went well for 8 km. Then we came over a curve into an S-curve, couldn’t steer any more, speed was about 150 km/h- vehicle has a quarter turn ng made, left into the guardrail, turned upside down, on the roof on the guardrail further, shot down from the guardrail and 100 m on the roof over the track to stand on the right side next to the track. Both the driver and I as co-driver got away with only a few scratchy. So whoever drives here hobbyically on the ring: Build a cage in the vehicle. If we hadn’t had the rollover cage, we would have both dead today. Therefore my tip p after I was so lucky – so much will not have a second one so quickly. Photos

  • 987S vs 987

Hello, I would like to order a 987. My belly says 987 S and the head 987. What do you think? How big is the difference? Sure, I will both drive test if possible. But an opinion of people who drive already “longer” boxster is also interesting for me. Does the 2.7 sound much “smaller” than the big brother? Greetings TheUgly

  • Overspeed

Hello everyone, unfortunately I have been flashed before a Montat on the highway instead of 100 km/h with 138 km/h. The car runs on my wife, but I am danger. I looked up what would bloom: 3 points and 1 month driving ban if I am back within one year 25 km/h too fast. Currently I have the official hearing sheet before me. I am actually not an exaggerated racer but now it just caught me. What would you recommend me? How should I proceed ? Ask for reviews. Greetings sixela

  • How do you close your mouth?

Hello dear MT municipality, in another context I have noticed that there are correct philosophies (or: filisofien?) about how to close the boot cover of a Porsche correctly. Some press the Porsche emblem, the others below, others drop the thing from about 50 cm into the lock… some want to avoid fingerprints on the polished tin, the other duls in the coat of arms, they seem to develop with excessive “logo printing”. do you already have a dulle in the coat of arms/emble/logo? many greetings xen

  • CaymanS

Hello, I’m thinking about buying a new car in the near future. The choice has fallen on the CaymanS. I confirmed in my decision an extensive test drive over an extended weekend. Now, however, I have a few questions that my Porsche salesman could not answer directly, or wanted to. Will there soon be a DSG comparable to Audi or VW? On the other hand, the Boxster now has a fresh cell cure in the form of 15hp and 0.2L displacement e In the near future, is it foreseeable that Porsche will give the CS a little more power, in view of the growing “competition” (335i, S3, allegedly even a Ford Focus with 300hp will come on the market) ? Of course, Porsche will be careful to keep the little crocodile at a distance from his big brother – Carrera. Thus, one can assume that first the 997s will be revised and finally the 987s. However, the Cay … but basically I am interested in the DSG, although the hand switch itself is a great thing. Tiptronic is not in question.

  • Porsche with 4 doors (Panamera)

Hello, I read in the AMS a long time ago that a Porsche Panamera, so with 4 doors maybe should come. Comes now and what do you think about it? A Porsche with 4 doors!! Well, I don’t know. Does that fit Porsche at all? Well, there is already a SUV from Porsche. Is there something completely new again, a sports car with 4 doors and on the other hand I think, for a family father who would like a Porsche and could also afford it, but for reasons of space not t can buy, would such a Panamera be ideal or? Thank you for your opinions. Greeting from an Alfisti. Andi
