  • Cooling water loss 2.2l HDI BJ 2001 8XHF

Hello municipality, had to refill about 3 liters of cooling water in the last two months. Under the car everything is dry, on the oil filler lid is also no white foam and pressure is also on the system. What I noticed, however, is that on the balance tank of the cooling liquid there are such a kind of white lime traces that apparently come from the overpressure valve in the lid. What could be the cause? Can it be that the spring in the lid is emptied over time or will my motor become too rm? What is the normal cooling water temperature when it has run warm? The fan switches on at a certain temperature, but only at the level where it is also running when the air conditioning is switched on. Is there a second level? Maybe I also want to change the cooling water, howvel liters of cooling water fit in there? I know questions about questions, but maybe there is such a MacBundy successor who knows pretty much everything Thanks and greeting Mike

  • 407 2.0.HDI – Error exhaust system defective, engine goes off and starts only with difficulty.

Hello together, recently I have (again) a problem with my Peugeot 407SW. The vehicle is a 2.0HDI with 136 hp, built in 2006. Running power meanwhile 180k. The following problem: Sporadic the engine falls off and then only starts up again with difficulty – so several start attempts are needed. In the display then comes the error message “gas system defective”. The car was already at Peugeot in the workshop about 4 weeks ago. They changed a control unit and the diesel filter. 4 weeks was quiet, today the mistake came back. I don’t really have confidence in the competence of the workshop, especially I don’t feel like exchanging any parts on suspicion – it’s just too expensive. Maybe one of you has already gained some experience here and can share them. That would be great.

  • Peugeot 508 sw BJ 2011 Engine control lamp

Hello everyone! I recently have a problem with my Peugeot 508 petrol engine 156 hp BJ 2011. I don’t know where to start but I’m trying to make the best of it. From today to tomorrow, I started the engine quite normally and started to flash the motor control light until it completely started to shine. The engine itself started to run a bit restless and the speed indicator to shake a bit back and forth. I have of course read out error memory immediately and there are 3 errors (pictures attached.) According to pictures below, was error concerning camshaft sensor and I ordered the same to check if it is the cause. 1 day was all right but after that the same problem again. Light glows, fan turns, engine restless and also emergency run. I did not buy the vehicle long time ago and the previous owner also bought the car well cared for by peugeot and that’s why I was on the way to the den to ask if what is going on, what the previous owner did here. They told me that the vehicle was already here because of engine control light and it was just new software for engine control unit and after that the vehicle was no longer there or, the previous owner also sold it to intermediary dealers, where I bought it. Well, I don’t know what the exactly is and wanted to ask you if someone had to do something like that. I searched everywhere but found nothing. Please help

  • Purchase advice 508 2017

Good morning everyone together and happy Easter! I hope I’m helped here. Although the following is the case. I’m currently driving a c-class 2008 switch kombi and now something new should come. I really shot myself into the following vehicle, but I don’t want to buy anything with pink red glasses and then possibly regret it. It’s here: Just found at #eBay Kleinanzeigen. How do you like this?https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/…/2078229371-216-0878?… but become a diesel. Hope you can still say something… What should I know about “illness” or something like that? I would really like constructive advice. Thank you!

  • Unround engine run, 2.7 HDI

Moin, I have collected some questions, because after each action a new error occurred again. 1. With our 607 the motor runs quite unevenly and also the turning up in the empty run is very sluggish. The 3rd injector has already been changed, since the quantity correction was 159%. After the exchange, however, this is still 159% (photo). Do you still have to learn or register the injectors? 2. The measurements in the control unit for the charging pressure are both in empty run on ambient pressure, as well as in the higher empty run with higher pressure should still be at ambient pressure (2 pictures). In addition, the air quantity on the rear bench is much lower than on the front bench, as well as in the empty run and in the higher empty run (just as 2 pictures). In the higher empty run this is even lower. I conclude that the rear turbo has to be stuck, since otherwise the air quantity would have to rise with and not fall off, so that the front turbo practically blows into the rear and thus the air mass falls on the rear suction path. Does someone have a different explanation for, or can I understand? The deposited errors in the control unit match the measured values. 3. When jerking in empty run, each jerker comes with a “gong” of the high pressure line between the pump and the distribution pipe. When damping with the finger, the noise is gone. During the cut-off test, no paint or vibrating of the fuel pressure valve was heard/feeled. that is related to the noise that the fuel pressure becomes too high and thus possibly also the injector correction factors hang so next to the track? and if so, is the pressure valve integrated in the pump or can you exchange it separately if necessary? Thanks in advance for replying, Lg Dominik

  • Coupling and shock absorber at 407 SW

Since October 2008 I have bought a 407,SW with 100 kW (diesel) the car from a Peugeot dealer with warranty. Km stand 48000 on purchase. At 56000 km a clutch slip occurred. A clutch wear was also determined by the dealer, which meant that 811 € were due. On my driving mode the wear was certainly not. So a new clutch was installed and when I picked up the car I was told that the front shock damper They also have to be changed. One was also surprised that I hadn’t noticed it yet. I then went to ATU and asked if they could replace the shock absorbers. However, there are no shock absorbers for the 407 at ATU. My big worry is, if I have the car repaired at Peugeut, that are possibly used original parts of Peugeot, which make the problem a repeat factor. Of course, these are “wear parts”. Can anyone tell me if there are shock absorbers at the front for a 407 SW, which are not produced or purchased by Peugeot? I don’t want to pay 360€ every 2 years. With my VW the first after 230 000 km were still in order. Then my second concerns: We want to go on holiday for the first time with the 407 SW with our caravan (1360kg). Is the car able to overcome larger distances n ? I mean the clutch is then certainly heavily loaded. Does anyone have experience with the caravan operation with a 407 SW diesel? many thanks

  • Error message Cont. speed defective

Hello dear mechanic, and the following has happened. (Auto: Peugeot 407 Coupe 2.7Hdi BiTurbo) I got the error message exhaust system defective (without emergency run) with engine control light. Was then with a software optimizer who knows nuts and asked him if he could make an Agr off + Stage 1 software. Said done after 10 different software he had no desire any more. He flashed me the “original” up again. I then completely frustrated home. The first 200m switched the Aut o immediately into the emergency program with the error message: counter speed defective. So I then of course completely overburdened. Car only turns up to 2000u/min Then I drove the next day (today) to a very good tuner of which I heard a lot. He flashed me a software with Agr and stage 1. MKL was gone and the error exhaust system also gone. Only the error with the electr. G has remained defective. He is still in emergency run. We tried everything that was in our power, unfortunately without E Rfolg. Because he is an autoelectrician and doesn’t know Peugeot so well. Can someone please help me? I’m really desperate…. And yes I know Agr off does not correspond to the StvO. I would be grateful for any answer.

  • Vibration in empty run and running after a week of standing

Hello Peugeot friends, have an annoying problem with my lions. First of all to the car. It is a 508 built year 2016 with the 2.0 Bluehdi engine 150hp. The car has currently 107500km down. Chassis number VF38DAHXMGL006707 The car has stood for 1 week because I have changed registration marks and I was traveling with the other car. On Saturday I got into the car and had to find that the car has vibrations with running motor. The whole car is on the v The vibrations occur in the empty run and also when driving in the range of 800-1600 turns. After that they become a little less. That’s also really exhausting if you drive in the local area with 50 or if you drive 30. Because then you have constantly these vibrations. Before I left the car, I drove 1000km autobahn per week. And since nothing vibrated or anything else. Just everything palletti, only now after this one week of standing these vibrations. How out of ghost. And they don’t go away any more. Somehow it seems to me that something on the two-mass swing wheel was saying goodbye. But is of course pure speculation. Have you ever heard or had something like this before? If someone had access to the spare parts catalog. Could someone find out everything for me for the reperture of a coupling? -Wave sealing ring swing side -Swing wheel -Print plate with clutch disc -pressure bearing -screw flywheel on crankshaft -screws pressure plate on flywheel Thanks for your help positions.
