  • rattle noise in 407 SW 2,0 L HDI

Hello, In November 2005 I bought a Peugeot 407 SW 2,0 HDI with 8000 km. Now I drove almost 51TK and can take a first balance. I still like the 407 SW very much. It is very comfortable, quiet, the consumption is limited (with my driving mode 6.5 liters on 100 km) and the engine is sufficiently strong. Just one problem that drives me crazy: the noises on bad road. How do the noises express themselves? Handscuff (crack, clack, clack), sometimes from the rear seats or storage or what do I know (so “plastic noises” as if something was loose). On the highway there is hardly anything to hear.. everything very quiet and angenhem. who has an idea what that can be? Who has had similar experiences? Thanks, greetings

  • Please finally Unterforen ala 205, 206, 207

Dear motor talk team, please finally introduce at Peugeot Unterforen, as for example at AUDI. This makes searching, reading, finding and especially the forum itself more interesting. I am interested in e.g. only for the 207, but must choose appropriate threads from a Wirwarr of other models. A fast Überblich is not possible etc etc etc. It really does not make fun to be active here in the Peugeot area. A 205 has nothing together with a 207. So please admit here endli and makes it clear! Greetings Manuel

  • Hail damage to the car

Hello, my car has suffered hail damage. I have already reported the damage to the insurance company. There I was informed that a collection point will be set up for the evaluation of the cars. Nevertheless, I was at my workshop today and wanted to have my car inspected there. This gave me the information that they can not have any estimate made for hail damage. The workshop then contacted the insurance company and asked d about that I should have my car inspected by those, because according to the owner also an expert does not always know how high the damage is. Now I wonder if I am then obliged to have my damage done at this workshop, or if I still have the choice to go to another. Besides, I also consider paying off with the damage. Can you tell me a few infos about how such a damage regulation because Yours sincerely, Janarinoa

  • RXH Service Peugeot Assistance, Liegebleiber

Hello, I drive an RXH year 05/2012 and have bought 65,000 km on the speedometer. On 20.11.2014 my vehicle refused the start and showed all possible malfunctions. Don’t panic, I bought the Peugeot Assistance package for approx. € 2000. First of all the assistance was not reachable over 2 hours. After recording my vehicle data then an ADAC emergency service was on site 1 hour later. He could not move the vehicle to start and informs the Peugeot A after another 2 hours the vehicle was towed to the next dealer. One day later I received my vehicle again. I wait until today for a call from the assistance because of a replacement vehicle. I ask myself what I paid € 2000 for. Unfortunately this was not the only problem with the vehicle. In autumn 2013 the Navi with BlueSrceen got out several times on full drive. The Navi System was in an ADAC test with mange The system was then replaced in January 2014. And just today, the new system got out with BlueSrceen on full drive. From time to time, the outside mirrors don’t run out when opening. My confidence in the competence of Peugeot is quite scratched. Has someone similar experience ? and has noticed that problem messages with the vacuum pump disappeared s Ind? Bytalker

  • biggest Misst – the windscreen wipers

Pretty much everything is good in 407, however, the windscreen wipers bother me from the beginning. If you turn on them you get a heart attack so loud it becomes when they jump, there remains a thin water film just in the middle of the wiper leaf – speaks field of view, etc. What was done? Switched though the mechanic meant the look still like new and 2 times the disc with “Nano” coated. Brings everything nothing, the windscreen wipers are just a misconstruction. Now I have done Can I install “normal” wiper blades? By normal I mean the pointed rubber part and not the wide stuff that is installed there.

  • Turbo starts so slowly now???

Hello to all Peugeot fans, don’t know, somehow I noticed my oil change, that the turbo just gets active after a certain time, but that was NEVER the case before…. hi funny….it’s about a 206 Peugeot Sport HDI 2.0 and when I went into the gas, he immediately activated the turbo….now it’s different and really doesn’t know what it could be…..can’t be the oil and the only thing I had to remove the lower engine cover. n, because it was completely destroyed……I also noticed that it is the worst at REGEN….can it have to do with the lower engine cover, the protection???? In any case I changed the air filter, which was already very wet and dirty and the pollen filter also the same…..naja, the small one has now already nearly 108.000km druff and soon the timing belt should be changed too. Until 120.000km it should be guaranteed that it does not tear. I think sometimes , such a lower engine cover will be very expensive, however, it should dampen the engine noise or be seen as a protection when driving….well, the small black one is so deep that the engine cover just didn’t make it*gg*….know who costs how much such a part?…maybe replica stop….originally just way too expensive I think……well, I’d be really happy if I could help someone with my problem with the turbo….the engine runs really round, but he simply no longer accepts the gas at the beginning. lg mckater

  • Renewal of the water pump when changing the timing belt?

Hello, I have the 120,000km inspection and with it also the renewal of the timing belt. The Peugeot dealer and ATU say that the water pump would be replaced prophylactically. Another dealer said that the renewal of the water pump only makes sense if it is leaking, everything else would be money making. The Peugeot dealer holds against that if the water pump is broken, the timing belt must also be renewed, because these parts are related to each other. The question is now, who is right and how long does a water pump last if it is not replaced after 120,000km’? I don’t want to save at the wrong end. Greetings Eifelzwerg

  • Exhaust???

Hi wanted to ask if any of you have a sports exhaust with an 80mm end tube (round). Would be cool if you could show me some pictures because I wanted to know if this doesn’t seem too protzig.

  • Motor self-control lamp started while driving

Hello, I hope someone can help me: I just stopped with our 206 SW and was towed immediately. Diagnosis: Engine self-control light went on during the ride and he sounded rather “backly”, thinking he didn’t run on all Zyl.. So now I have been towed to a Peugeot workshop, there the master changed the candles, but they were not!!! (Now we have at least some new candles, slightly smiled…) He bubberted the ann something of ???…-pump in his not present beard meant no more today, after work etc.. and he was gone. Now my question: WHAT CAN THAT BE????? Did someone ever have this problem and can help us? We don’t want to catch up tomorrow the car and then we get a bill of 1000€, because honestly we have no idea about it. Would be nice if someone offered us his idea as a help. Thank you Nicky

  • Peugeot 206 – 2,0Hdi

Hello, first of all I wish you all a nice Christmas.. And now to my question.. At the Peugeot 206 of my sister the problem arises for some time that the car starts badly, when it is quite cold outside, or the car has stood at least 2days outdoors… The engine spins cleanly, however, it only jumps after very long oril.. The problem actually only occurs, since it has become a bit colder outside.. Since my first suspicion on the Vorg For this purpose I used a 6.9kOhm resistance on the plug of the coolant temperature generator to pretend a low temperature. Then I measured with the multimeter to the glow plug, and switched on the ignition. I could measure a voltage for some time! -> Control of the pre-glow system should be ok.. But now I can’t really get any further. What could it be about? Under I suspect the glow candles and the temperature sensor.. What do you think? I would be happy about answers before I start to exchange unnecessary parts now! Greetings Jochen
