hi have only had a peugeot 306 xt of 93 for 2 days. he has 101 ps. he had the problem before that he starts well when he is cold and when he is warm no longer. I had to ask a friend if he is working on the causer while I pull on the underpressure hose. gets bad at the tank. since yesterday he also gets extremely foggy at the start and also the first 10 minutes of the ride. now he also gets hot all the time and that after 5 minutes. after 10 minutes I have to turn it off because it has 110 degrees and it concerns the little lamp “STOP”. then I have to let it cool down again because it does not start in the warm condition. that with the start my screwdriver interpreted as defective of the injection system as far as I can remember. the spare part however would have been sultry expensive and he could not say with 100% certainty if it is then too. what should I do? someone already had such a problem? so no man can drive, and i I’m afraid to stay there…. need urgent help because he still has to hold until my corrado is finished, which will definitely take another year…. thanks already! André

306, 1,4ltr, 75hp timing belts slipped!!!
HELP!! This morning the engine went out at the traffic light and did not jump any more. In the evening we towed the car and tried to put it on. That was probably wrong??? It was terribly clapping. At home in the garage we dismantled the valve cover and the cover of the timing belt. After turning the crankshaft on the camshaft nothing has happened, everything was clear and after turning the camshaft also visible: toothed belt teeth off!!! My questions: D the engine has 245000km. The engine should not be a freewheeler and therefore (see above “fearfully clapped” the valves and also the pistons have got something off. How should I proceed to decide whether a repair is worthwhile. Do it yourself would be conditionally possible. Head plan, new valves, valve shafts, ZKD, water pump, timing belts, tensioning roller. Costs, costs…. Please give me decision-experience aids!!

DUELL 2009 – VW Scirocco vs. Peugeot 308 RCZ
DUELL 2009 – VW Scirocco vs. Peugeot 308 RCZ Peugeot builds the 308 RCZ in series and VW revitalizes an ancestor Who thinks the Audi TT is the competitor for the Peugeot 308 RCZ, which goes into series production in 2009. True opponent will be the new Volkswagen Scirocco. Who will be ahead? Which model is more successful? 2009 will be a hot duel in the compact class. In search of unreason, racy coupés become fashion again. Your opinion!

Brake failure Peugeot 306 Break Bauj. 2000
Hi, yesterday I had a complete brake failure on my Peugeot 306 Break Bauj. 2000. Checkheft pelted. I drove with my 2 children to the pediatrician and was just looking for a parking lot. When I had found this I wanted to brake, but despite all the Karft I could move the brake pedal up to 2 cm. and had no braking performance. Thank God I found the way to the handbrake still working in time. I then again have several brake brakes. I did not think of this brake failure on the highway. Later I came back to have the car to be towed. I found out that the brake works again. After talking to my free autwork shop, I got the answer that there can be brake problems at Peugeot more often. The fault is the ABS system or the ABS box. Can someone please help me, which problem is behind it or had eb if anyone has the same or similar problem? In advance THANK YOU.

306 Xsi valves clapping
Hello guys! I recently changed the ZKD on the 306 from my brother.(2.0l,8V,Xsi,Bj.94).Did everything work out and it’s close again without any problems. Shortly afterwards, the valve noises became noticeable.A short time ago, I heard it myself and it’s already enormous. But I didn’t finger anything at the valves. I first thought that this model had already installed hydros, but apparently not according to another forum (didn’t have it at all when disassembled). There I was also pointed out that it could be due to wrong oil, although I just tipped in the expensive Castrol. Now I just want to hear your opinion on what to do and where the cause for the crackling of today lies on tomorrow.Perhaps a simple oil change or should I completely adjust the valves. Gruss Michl

Peugeot 306 1.6 – bad driving performance/too high consumption – how do you pull???
Drive a 306 with 1.6l, 88hp. Have the feeling that it pulls anything but better for the specified performance compared to a 75 hp Toyota Starlet (ok, the Starlet had an curb weight of just 780kg). Is that normal that the Peugeots are not such racers, or is there simply something wrong??? Have also between 2000-3000 a jerking and the engine sounds unclean, over it purrs like a kitty. He has now run just 70,000km, then the engine should doc h be still in great condition. A compression test showed 13 bar on the first cylinder, the others I could not measure because of the disturbing suction bridge, but I will probably catch up still, since I suspect that a cylinder limps because of the jerking… Do you have similar jerking or is it really a leaking valve o. similar??????? It also soaks like a hole, which brings my guess closer it’s true what’s wrong, he needs over 9 liters, d what do your 306s drive and what do they swallow? Had mine so far on the highway only on 180 and not too loose, that’s all I didn’t want because of the high speed. Think with a little patience would have been 190 to max. almost 200 in it.

Central locking tailgate 306 Break, Bj 99
Hello people, from today to tomorrow the central locking on the tailgate did not go at my Peugeot 306 Break, Bj99. The 4 doors go perfectly. I removed the actuator from the tailgate and on the desk it goes perfectly with 12 V. It drives in and out with poles at 12 V. On the plug to the actuator on the tailgate there is no tension when I measure with the digital multimeter. When I operate the central locking the multimeter coughs at best Unfortunately I didn’t get any further? Does anyone have a hint? Where is the controller for the ZV during the break? I found nothing under the back seat or backrest as written here in the forum. Under the back bench there are only two covers in the carpet, where I guess the fuel pump or filter now. I am grateful for hints! Greetings

Extract oil from Peugeot 306
And I know that I will certainly reap a lot of spot. But with my Peugeot (306 xsi BJ.94) I can’t read the oil level… I already tried everything… But the fucking thing doesn’t show anything… I’ve already refilled oil, but still I can’t read it. The oil pressure indicator always shows around the 4bar when it’s still standing, when it’s driven, it’s so at 7 bar. Can anyone tell me how much I can j Thank you for your help.

Door harness pin occupancy where comes which cable to
Hello 306er, I have been having problems with the veins in the left driver’s door for some time. Today I changed the wire harness, however, I could not assign 6 wires. The wires were weathered so strongly in the connecting rubber that they had broken through and therefore no colour assignment was possible to me. It is about 3 red and 3 wise wires. I could successfully assign all other wires by measuring because the core color in the repair cable kit was not with the installed in the vehicle Two of the three red veins I could assign in the two plugs which are on the wire harness where the veins end. 2 veins go into the white coded plug. The third vein would then be the one which cannot be measured. Here, however, I lack the assignment of the plug pin to the door plug pin. With the wise veins it is a bit more swirier. Here I found a vein in the gray coded plug and one in the white coded plug (32,5M Ohm). Also hi unfortunately I lack the assignment of the plug pin to the door-plug pin since the cables were already unmounted during dismantling. Can you possibly help me with the pictures further which vein belongs to it? Achso maybe this still in the driver’s door helps you with the following things: – electric mirror (left and right) – electric window lifter (only front left and right) – door speaker Thank you already for your answers.

HDi 165 – Change timing belts after 6 years?
Hello to the round, I received a letter yesterday from my dealer, where after 6 years a timing belt change for the HDi-165 is strongly recommended. As reason stands “experience in our house” to avoid engine damage. I looked extra immediately. In the service book stands as a change interval for the timing belt 10 years or 240000 km. The writing first seems to have a certain taste for me. Therefore here the question in the round.QuAGE: – Are the Za hn strap of 163hp diesel so vulnerable that it is recommended to change prematurely? – Are premature timing belt cracks known in the engine?
