  • Shock absorbers?

I’ve had a 508sw GT with now 20tkm on the clock for about 6 months. With heat it squeaked at some point out of the steering column. In the 3rd run the workshop managed to do it after all. So far. At the same time more and more on the alarm clock, that there was a flap from the rear vehicle area and pinning. The flap then finally got under control quite quickly. There was something on the back bench. But the problem of poltern seems not to be solvable. low speed on a bad road or on cobblestone pavements there is a really bad poltern from the rear area. It sounds kind of strange hollow/muffled and comes from the area of the axle. The dealer changed the shock absorbers on suspicion, which however did not bring anything. Then he had the car again after a week for 3 days in the workshop and then you told me nothing can be done, the car sounds like that. can’t believe that a modern car in the price class 40k€+ is allowed to sound like this. I was then today with a 2nd Peugeot dealer, where then the workshop master told me quite disilosioned, that he had already 2 customers with GTs with him, who had described the same problem. With a customer one even had a ‘upper master’ of Peugeot in the house, who could only realize that the rear axle ‘just sounded like that’. The 208 I recently called Lei I do not hope that all the prejudices that exist regarding Peugeot will be confirmed by me with regard to rattles and pins. I am, however, quite speechless. Have seriously already thought about a change (probably already too late) or sale. My trust is very clouded. Does anyone have an idea or similar experiences here? Thank you already in advance for every comment!!

  • 407 SW ABS/ESP defect

Hello, as it says in the headline, a small problem with my ABS/ESP. I get an error message that my ABS/ESP is defective with a slightly stronger brake. I have now read/tested the parameter values with a tester and all 4 ABS sensors work. It’s funny that only with a slightly stronger brake the error message comes. Can it be completely on the brake light switch? Or what else could it be? Thanks Lg

  • My French pile of screws…

My dream car is a nightmare!!! I don’t know where to start, maybe with what wasn’t broken yet? Purchased in 2009 at the dealer’s first hand 68000km 407 SW 2,0 136hp back then already replaced the first wing joint just before!! Ok I can’t list the repeats by order anymore but here’s the overview: -> 4 new support joints on the front axle in change right and left -> new axle driver side -> new drive shaft because this gives me while driving och war!! ->new cooler -> new clutch -> error exhaust gas (secondary air filter ) -> right now a new servo pump is coming in, and with the brake light switch something is wrong. -> constantly any errors in the display that are mostly not correct… My question am I an isolated case?? To the info of the car has now run in 5 years almost 100000 with us.

  • Ideal engine oil Peugeot 406 td 1,9

Hello Peugeot municipality, I know, this topic has been dealt with too often but I would still be interested in which engine oil is recommended for a diesel engine older date. I searched the forums and yet the ghosts diverge on this topic. Drive a 1996er 1.9 diesel with 66KW, the engine was overhauled 3 years ago. The consumption is a bit high therefore I would like to know which engine oil I should take at the next oil change. viscous and fully synthetic, or partly synthetic, light running? The crate flaps when the engine is cold and I have heard that the fully synthetic oils can help. So general question: Which engine oil is best suited for a diesel engine with turbocharger from Peugeot older year of construction?

  • rattle noise in 407 SW 2,0 L HDI

Hello, In November 2005 I bought a Peugeot 407 SW 2,0 HDI with 8000 km. Now I drove almost 51TK and can take a first balance. I still like the 407 SW very much. It is very comfortable, quiet, the consumption is limited (with my driving mode 6.5 liters on 100 km) and the engine is sufficiently strong. Just one problem that drives me crazy: the noises on bad road. How do the noises express themselves? Handscuff (crack, clack, clack), sometimes from the rear seats or storage or what do I know (so “plastic noises” as if something was loose). On the highway there is hardly anything to hear.. everything very quiet and angenhem. who has an idea what that can be? Who has had similar experiences? Thanks, greetings

  • RXH Service Peugeot Assistance, Liegebleiber

Hello, I drive an RXH year 05/2012 and have bought 65,000 km on the speedometer. On 20.11.2014 my vehicle refused the start and showed all possible malfunctions. Don’t panic, I bought the Peugeot Assistance package for approx. € 2000. First of all the assistance was not reachable over 2 hours. After recording my vehicle data then an ADAC emergency service was on site 1 hour later. He could not move the vehicle to start and informs the Peugeot A after another 2 hours the vehicle was towed to the next dealer. One day later I received my vehicle again. I wait until today for a call from the assistance because of a replacement vehicle. I ask myself what I paid € 2000 for. Unfortunately this was not the only problem with the vehicle. In autumn 2013 the Navi with BlueSrceen got out several times on full drive. The Navi System was in an ADAC test with mange The system was then replaced in January 2014. And just today, the new system got out with BlueSrceen on full drive. From time to time, the outside mirrors don’t run out when opening. My confidence in the competence of Peugeot is quite scratched. Has someone similar experience ? and has noticed that problem messages with the vacuum pump disappeared s Ind? Bytalker

  • biggest Misst – the windscreen wipers

Pretty much everything is good in 407, however, the windscreen wipers bother me from the beginning. If you turn on them you get a heart attack so loud it becomes when they jump, there remains a thin water film just in the middle of the wiper leaf – speaks field of view, etc. What was done? Switched though the mechanic meant the look still like new and 2 times the disc with “Nano” coated. Brings everything nothing, the windscreen wipers are just a misconstruction. Now I have done Can I install “normal” wiper blades? By normal I mean the pointed rubber part and not the wide stuff that is installed there.

Hello guys, I have to buy this car.http://suche.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… Unfortunately I have no idea about Peugeot. How good are these cars? Is the 3.0 even suitable for gas operation? I would be very grateful for every tip. Greeting Artik

  • AL4 automatic transmission – new software even possible?

Hello, with my newly bought 406 2.0HDI the transmission went over Jordan on the 2nd day. Switched back under load on the mountain… WüK could not grip… Emergency program. The next day after 100km it became worse and worse… Now it jumps already after a few meters into the emergency program. The thing has only 80TKM down and I assume that it is really only on the solenoid valves. So I ordered 2 new ones and wait until they are flown in here. Question: Can I get the So Is there aftermarket cable and which software is needed for this? Unfortunately, there is no Peugeot Dealer for me on the island… Greetings Rod

  • Possibility to deactivate lamp testing at 407SW due to permanent false reports?

Hello together, as I have seen in a few articles, there seems to be a fundamental problem with the lamp test. With me come with main display permanently messages when flashing “brake leucts defective” and with every braking process!!!! / “blink lamp defective”. It is annoying huge. A few times the trigger was a lamp of the license plate light which then led to the temporary healing of the error message for a few weeks. hten has already contributed to temporary healing. But I don’t want to replace whole incandescent lamps every 3 weeks. In the forum I have read from various attempts to clean all contacts and to install new mass cables,… Honestly, I don’t really want to lay new mass connections. Does anyone know if you can’t just disable the function of the lamp test? And if so how? Because actually this function is quite useless. If a flasher or fader ch is broken, I actually get it so promptly with.. Best regards MYK975
