Hello dear Peugeot community. Maybe one of you can help me. Peugeot 406 SRTD 96. Year of construction with more than 220,000 KM. The following problem: My Peugeot has quite a start difficulty in the cold state. I have to press two to three times the zünder and get still on the gas so that he can start at all (is certainly not exactly healthy for the car). When it is then so far and the motor jumps on there is a quite large diesel cloud at the back. the car without problems on……only if he stands up for one or two hours these difficulties, then the start without the gas pedal to operate is almost impossible…….except I repeat the start process 10 times In winter where it was cold I had almost no start difficulties, now that it gets warmer all the more. What can this be about……someone might have a starvation. I still have one question. The nice oma of the Peugeot spare parts meant I had to ask the Peugeot which model/model fits in my. Are not all the same for this year of construction? It is probably not about the multifunctional display but alone about the temperature display. Do you have any idea in the direction????? Thank you for the numerous answers.

Peugeot 607 2.2 HDi FAP 135 ; Turbocharger defective?
Hello, I drive a Peugeot 607 2.2 HDi FAP 135; 98kW (133PS); 10.10.2001 with 147.000km. I wanted to make oil changes and when the employees who have covered … they found that there is quite a lot of oil. That’s what they showed me and meant that it is probably the turbocharger that is defective. They also saw something in the middle full of oil and said that it is very likely but only one gasket can be. They recommended to go to Peugeot and Ü I have also noticed that something in the engine compartment “knocks, but not always. They couldn’t confirm that it comes from the turbocharger but they believe it can be. I’m surprised that the car still accelerates normally, even in 2500 revolutions. Now I don’t know if I should try to speed it up so hard again to control it that they told me that it’s about engine engine speed. You know what can be there and if it can be the turbocharger? Because I think it’s an expensive matter. At ATU they meant between 1500 and 2000€. Here I read that it can also be a clogged filter. Is it also possible? The last oil change is also quite long ago. Greeting Karol

Peugeot 407 SW HDI Platinum
Moin together, I have now switched from the Volvoforum to the Peugeotforum, as I could not see my S60 D5 due to vibration problems and processing weaknesses and have gained a Pug 407 SW. But I am a little disappointed by the few infos about the 407 here in the forum. Are all going around in the pure 407 forum – or how ? I personally like motor-talk.de much better and I would like if here about 407 “more goes away” ! So folks, post times Your opinions. Until then, Victor

406 Coupe V6 (190hp or 207?)
Hi folks! Be able to afford me a 406 Coupe V6 in the next few months. Wants to ask if someone already had a direct comparison between the V6-machine (BJ 1997-1999) and the new one (year 2000-2004). I’m both already tested, and I have to say that the 207hp engine is actually not much better than the 190hp engine. Would get the 190hp-igen very cheap… but with far more km than the 207hp-igen Maybe it’s a subjective opinion because I don’t have both variations. The two vehicles are both very good offers… now I just want to ask if it really pays to spend more money considering that the 207-hp version actually doesn’t go well… greeneetz – agathodemon

406 coupé – Brembo brakes – Deformed brake discs
Hello everybody, these Brembo brake discs bother me a lot again. Even with a moderate driving mode, the discs have a delay after a very short time, that the steering wheel does correct blows when braking. I would have said, okay – from speed 200 a full braking with glowing discs or a long pass road could permanently brake something like that. But the former I did not have to do and for the latter I am not stupid enough for it. Nevertheless. Have before 10,000km new Sche If you press only slightly on the foot brake, then you hear right like the (also before 10,000km renewed brake pads) temporarily lose touch. Do I have to dodge extra on perforated sports brake discs so that I can avoid such a thing? Thought, Brembo in size are not from bad parents, or ? Greeting Thorsten

Lever of electric seat adjustment torn off!
Hello forum members! I’ve kicked off the front lever of the electric seat adjustment a few days ago when I got in (see pictures: overall view, exterior view ) Although the three small buttons for the respective function (pre-back, tilting high-down, seat) still look out and are fully functional. However, in the stepped lever something has broken out, so that it no longer holds on the three mentioned buttons (see pictures: interior view A, interior view B). My demand at Peugeot: The switch itself does not exist individually, but only as a COMPLETE(!) module with both levers including the ALL-INTERLATED ELECTRONICS!This module is to cost 175,- Euro WITHOUT installation!!! THAT IS THE RECENT WOPER!!! Considering that the function of the seat adjustment still works perfectly, I am not ready to do so yet – even if I know that this is now the way of the manufacturers… Has from you someone a “repair idea”?! Or does anyone know of an accident coupé where such a lever could still be present?! I would be very grateful about feedback! Best regards, Jan

Schematic searched for motor fans
Hello people, yesterday I had the problem that with my 407 year of construction 5/2008 100KW did not turn at 30 degrees outside temperature of the motor fan anymore. The climate did not go accordingly. I then looked around something whether I find something somewhere or see at once when it got a little cooler (23 degrees outside temperature) the fan ran again. Now a question, someone knows some problem what to do with such a symptom. and possibly has a schematic from the air control? Greetings Chris

Change Peugeot 407 spark plugs
Hello Peugeot experts, yesterday I wanted to plant a set of new spark plugs in my 407 (2 liters of 16V petrol, year 2005). After I had removed the plastic cover from the cylinder head, however, all kinds of components came to light, of which I do not know if one should really unscrew them. Can one of you tell me in short words what to do? Thank you in advance! Best regards, Olaf Schütz

Never again peugeot 406 coupe
Hello people. have a peugeot 406 coupe 2.2l with 158 ps after which I drove him now 2 years and have already had several small problems,is big problems with the rims looking for because the EP is so small,or the change from the Pneu to the original rims. And now the wheel bearing(it seems to me) is coming in,everytime I go into a right turn I hear a strong grind.Well and last I had a small collision with a ford fiesta,an old ford fi esta.beim Ford hardly anything to see with me,stove on the ass because, plasty.engine hood also a little bent nothing else.when I brought my vehicle to a spengler he said it was no problem.good night one day he calls me and says frightened spare parts alone cost already over 2000€.there I had a huge shock,(how can something that from hard plastic is over 2000€ cost???)nun good, the insurance pays, have only about 700€ self-retention. all right, until now everything went no ch,now the night shock, today I get a call from the autospengler.the stick comes only so against middle SEPTEMBER!!! there I wanted to naturally get one out of the break, error message no stick in the break at the beginning I loved the vehicle because it looked so nice and inside everything is so beautifully processed and well the driving feeling is not exactly externally but also not bad. but damn these circumstances just don’t pay off. NEVER MORE REALLY NIIIIE MORE!!!!!!!!

Peugeot 406 3.0 v6 tooth changes
Hello to all Peugeot drivers here: I have a Peugeot 406 Coupe with 3.0 V6 (140KW/190PsMotor) and sometimes a question in which distances the timing belt has to be changed one says every 100000km another says every 6 years what the now ? I bought my car with 110000km 2009 and had the timing belt + water pump made (since the previous owner didn’t even know the car has timing belts). Now I have 140000km down and it is 2015 and I think if I have to make a year old timing belt. or not ?I only drove 30000km in the 6years, because he just so soaks. I am now with and build it myself around on gas(that the gasfutzi can read quietly I say only 3200,-€ for 6 cylinder probably has a Macke )Has someone changed such a thing already?I also have a workshop CD for the car which is not quite buckle why do the locked camshaft wheels have to be adjusted in the long hole despite locking? and you need this super expensive tooth belt tensioner undisturbed ngsmesser? which costs more than 250,-€. Because the tension would have to arise if you can easily move this 4 edge in and out of the tensioner or ? I saw a video on YouTube, where a timing belt at Peugeot 406 Coupe changes only in French. Didn’t look hard and I have more than enough time of that I thought, I change you to the topic of timing belts.
