  • Renault Captur and the Starter – an infinite story ????

    What do you need to know about this? We have a Renault Captur EZ 11/2013. About Christmas we were on the road for a few days with our Womo and after our return we wanted to go shopping with the Captur. Didn’t jump on. That was on 5.1.2015. Call in the workshop, which meant first: Certainly the battery!! So charger hung up and the battery fully charged. Tuesday – with us holiday – tried again, it still didn’t. So Wednesday in the workshop called and they got him. After we then in the afternoon called, it was: The starter is defective. Then for quite a long time nothing happened until we asked for a workshop replacement car. Mobility guarantee from Renault. That was then already a problem, because they have just registered a Clio fresh, but with summer tires. Well, if we have an accident then u.U., we can not bear a share? because of the tires ?? So then again I have to call the Renault customer service in Brühl and ask for help. Then we have now the car – with winter tires. Our car is so since 7.1. 2015 can not be taken from the workshop? Do not deliver something?

  • Gearbox spins

    Hello you love, I got myself 4 weeks ago a Renault Captur (Automatic,(2014) ) , the 2 day after delivery he started to spin , that is , while the ride he jumps from D in N and it goes no more in the info then check gear . Then the car has to be turned off , and after one or 2 minutes everything goes again , and then everything goes off again , no matter what time range , or driven distance . When the car stood overnight and I am off the road the next morning , was also first everything good , but then the error happened again on the afternoon . Now he was 4 weeks in the workshop and they could find nix , the error also occurred at those during the test drive , but at the read out was found nix . I found him since Saturday again and it also ran everything , now I wanted to drive up the federal road , and at the speeding up the same problem as 4 weeks ago , gear just switched on , but at the test drive was not able to help , and the car got eight , and it looked like a new , then again , I was waiting for me again .

  • Deficiencies in the seat

    Hello dear forum, my father bought a new car in 04/19, Renault Captur. After only a few months he noticed that the reference from the seat looked very damaged and used more and more, although the car was rarely driven and that in “normal” clothes, i.e. not in work clothes from the construction industry or the like. After not even 6,000km, and about 1 year after the purchase, was then changed by the resident dealer, the reference from the seat at the expense of the car dealer / Renault. Well, not even 1,000km and only 4 months later, the new reference is now as damaged as the previously exchanged one. Do you know this problem and have experience in this regard?   • Engine damage Renault Captur

    Hi we have a captur from 2014 with now 76k km on the speedometer. Now the car has been standing for 3 weeks in the workshop – with the result engine damage, because cooler fluid got into the engine…. Car was always in the inspection, last March 2020, then Corona and a few kilometers and then 3 weeks ago super GAU. Renault refers to the 3 years warranty and wants to do nothing… I find inconspicuous. Now the question: it is a 90 hp engine diesel – to me now someone offers a 110 hp engine… can you install the simply (technically) so or you have to consider what? Has someone experience with engine damage – I think this is a design error, car was very gentlely driven and treated. Can you expect from Renault what??   • Immobiliser renault Scenic

    Hello guys, have Prolem with my Megane Scenic (JA0F) build.-Year 1999). After car battery change (with the strong negatives of the last weeks broken together) the car can no longer start. With radio key opened, key in the ignition lock turned around motor does not start.   • Renault Grand Scenic 2 lax front axle

    Hello together, I feel slight blows on the steering wheel at my Scenic and hear so a dull “kacker” . This happens however only after approx. 2-3km. It also happens on straight road. Other tires, new brakes and discs did not help. At the TÜV nothing unusual was seen. I jacked up the car and let down the tires on stones once more to hear if the shock absorber , springs makes noises , but nothing is to be heard. before I go to a workshop and start changing one after the other, maybe without a plan, I wanted to ask you for advice?   • Experience/purchasing consulting engine (Grand) Kangoo

    Hello together, we want to increase our car size and exchange our Skoda Fabia into a HDK. We have now decided for a Renault Grand Kangoo. However, I am still undecided about the motorization. The petrol engine seems to be a Japanese and quite suitable, however, it should have a relatively high consumption. The diesel in turn is only available in the small motorization and our driving profile is also not ideal with about 20 TKM per year (about 10 times per year 500 Every week, 3-4 times a city and 4-6 times a week, 50 km at a time on the motorway). Therefore, I am looking forward to all the reports about the petrol and small diesel, maybe this helps me with our purchase decision. Also to the small Kangoo, since the Grand Kangoo is not long.
