Hello all, now I finally removed the timing belt on my Megane 2 CC 2.0l. Everything went much better than I had already feared, but now I can’t go any further. See pictures. Don’t get the new timing belt on it. It would almost work if I finally mounted the tensioning roller, but then I didn’t get into locknut. Only because it really needed a muzzle with the new strap, so that the grooves sat everything exactly, the cam adjuster a bit. Until then I made good progress, even if it took a lot of time, because I’m doing this on the car for the first time. I hope you can help me. Thank you very much. Work rests now I thought I would get it all ready today, but Pustekuchen! And now I see that the holding tool from the front camshaft is something. So soon I guess the total chaos. I found nowhere also settings of OT 1. cylinder. The pinion of the camshaft is loose on it and also not not a notch also notch I had gone through the engine a dozen times and it was already difficult to fit the holding gear in both grooves. The car was commissioned 5 years ago in a Renault workshop with timing belts and everything. The car always ran perfectly round so far, no dropouts etc. Hopefully that is still something to save. At the moment I stand in front of the engine and ponder what to do. I really wanted to do and I knew it would take time, but now I’m paralyzed.

Timing belts Megane II CC Coupe 2009
Hello all, an opinion of you would interest me. With my Megane would be changed in May2009 with 100,000 of the timing belts. But also everything on the belt, i.e. Wapu, turning wheels, cam adjuster. Now the car has run 15000 KM, because it is only registered in summer. Of the mileage everything total luxury is now to replace the timing belts and Wapu again, but Renault writes the 5 years ago or 80T KM?. Of course, a belt ages, but the FZG is almost never used for The costs at that time were quite high and this time I would make the change myself, but I just don’t see the necessaryness yet. My colleague from VW said, control cover off and look what it looks like. Would be a possibility. Unfortunately, this is not a free runner, as once my ehmaliger, also 2.0l Avensis, then can drive it is banged and the car stops without cutting the head with valves etc. wide So what do you think about it? Who has experiences about it? As I said. Meanwhile, the car is already 15 years old and so much unnecessary money does not have to be.

Return light master without function
Hello together, at my master the return light no longer goes on both sides. Backup in the driver’s room I unfortunately can not clearly check because the symbol for it unfortunately does not show any direct fuse. Rest of lamps work perfectly back. Voltage is not attached to the lamp. I had tried to pick up the signal and when measuring at the contacts caused a short circuit

Renault Clio immobilizer
Hello, I assume that the topic has already been dealt with here, if yes I apologize for it. I urgently need help. With my clio a plantine on the key has broken off. A friend of mine could solder it again, but now the immobilizer does not go out and the car does not start. I have to say that I bought the car used and only one key. However, the immobilizer has caused problems from the beginning and I am already at the unpossible After the soldering of the plantine, the automatic door lock now works again, which did not work before. I therefore assume that the key has been repaired well. No one wants to help me with Renault. I have never been treated so condescendingly as with all Renault dealers in the last few days. I can only explain this to myself that my car is already older. , built in 2002. According to Renault, it is not possible to reread the key or enter a code. I am supposed to have a new lock or something installed, which costs me 600 euros. My car is not worth that much, although it does not cause any problems. Do I have to scrap my car now? Maybe someone can help me… I’m really desperate. Thank you very much.

Clio 3 , everything breaks at once
still have our 2012 he Clio 3 . Kilometers are now 112000km Currently for new Tüv is already repaired: both springs new back (one was broken) , brakes back , hand brake because the lever path was too large . Price for all with 1 license plate lamp and 1 stand light approx. 730 Euro . Is this ok the price ?? Timing belt is also made last with water pump and all tension rollers for 650 Euro . How is your price estimate here was the price ok ? For a Bosch workshop ? It would have to go further on the chassis to be made track rods you notice and I had as a hint and possibly even more on the chassis. What do you think would cost track rods; did any of you have them done in a workshop? And what would cost more on the chassis? Then the gears can be switched more and more difficult; were already set, then it was better for a short time. Now again worse. Is this the beginning of a coming gear damage or is there my estimate What price would be to be reckoned with with the transmission, if my assessment is correct? Am currently difficult to think about, i.e. I hang a bit on the car despite everything; but drive a lot and need a reliable car and can not always pay, if I let it all do so, but for a lot of money it will go on afterwards? The car does not become younger? But a new small car is not cheap or a carefree package with leasing ( vllt wi rd times there not fooled as long as you always take a new one again???) Otherwise I think sometimes when I see an old car with New Tüv for 800 euros, I would have taken that maybe and then threw away if something bigger always comes. But there is the reliability of course also a pure lucky thing otherwise would be interesting ; since I also like older cars. Hardly difficult. Would be grateful about assessments what you would do in the situation of me and an assessment about r the prices for possible change of workshop. Thank you had already had a thread because of chassis but there it was always in the same workshop everything is in order though of the feeling was just bad… so they should have been able to claim that and that is so not only mentioned …

Trafic 3 air filters from K&N
At my Trafic 3 EZ 2017 I would like to make a great service soon. I love using a K&N permanent air filter. Does anyone have experience with K&N air filters or is that money thrown out?

Clacking/knocking from AdBlue pump?
Moin, with my 2019 Talento with 1.6l 89kw machine with approx. 80.000km I usually have knocking noises shortly after the start, which I initially attributed to the subwoofer (unless there is any other explanation). Today I sat in the passenger seat again after a long time and think that the noise could come from under the driver’s seat, where the AdBlue pump is sitting. I haven’t had the car that long yet and at two-digit temperatures I have the Gereus It’s not noticeable so far. Relatively loud, resembles the cracking of a relay. As usually described after the start in the stand or at low speed, when driving normally nothing can be heard anymore. But today also briefly when parking. Can this come from the adblue pump? I can’t really estimate consumption, I would have to pay attention to it. Many greetings and happy holidays, Tobias

Experience with Handsfree
I would be interested in experiences with the Handless-free system at Megane 3. Does this really work over the years always trouble-free ? Have there ever been problems with the key card ?

Change brake drum Clio II
Hello! I have to change the brake drums including linings on Clio II, 1.4 55Kw/75 Ps, Ez. 11/2000 my daughter. A few questions arise for me in advance: With what torque is the central brake drum screw tightened? How do I recognize from the outside whether the car is equipped with or without ABS? I wanted to buy ATE parts. Which cheaper brands are also recommended? Thanks already in advance! Greeting Fly Death
