  • Clio IV – Start / Stop automatic is no longer possible

Hello, with our new (Feb. 2013) Clio the start/stop automatic is no longer possible for about 2 months. That means at the stop at the traffic light comes the message: “Autom. Stop not available”. Outside temp. 15 degrees or more – no matter. Visit in the workshop: “Yes, there are so many exceptions – have you read this through in the operating instructions?” Yes I did. However, I can not check all sensors for their signal status… So at < 80% battery charge state the start/stop should already be But even the Renault workshop can't read out this module, which checks the state of charge - I got this information. There are allegedly many Clio drivers having problems with the start/stop. The next step is to charge the battery completely by charger and test again. If it then works again, you have to find out unfortunately that in normal driving mode obviously no sufficient state of charge is achieved. I mean it increases the lifespan of starter and battery if it doesn't work, but I would ask Renault to take it out of the advertising brochures ;-) Mark

  • Problem with benzien consumption

Hey people have a problem I think My Clio 2 1.4l 75 ps (MTV) 109,000 km tires (195/45 R16 Hankook Ventus) “new” When I bought the car I could drive about half a tank 250-300 km, since about 2-3 weeks the tank is after 150 km half empty ??? can not explain to me why. And at the mountain from “roll” I hear a quiet bubbling/buffing between 1500-2500 rpm (MTV exhaust) that is also only for 1-2 months so. I can not explain the doubling of the consumption en, ride normally (1800-2500) U/min If otherwise it’s normal, don’t jerk or else ask for help =) Thanks a lot in advance, mfg Robin

  • how much are the clio of the 2nd generation worth ? purchase recommendation ?

Hello people, after my golf 3 slowly gives up my mind, I am looking for a good reliable used up to 2000€ while I keep hitting the clio from bj. 2001 with the first facelift. these are incredibly abundantly equipped my opinion, what you do not have with other manufacturers. what would you pay for a well-preserved up to ~130 tkm running performance ? especially it is worth it ? or does this simply have too many problems and deserves the predicate “reliance sig’ not ? here are a few examples :http://suchen.mobile.de/…/197648960.html?…http://suchen.mobile.de/…/197902939.html?…http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=256805270&asrc=steashttp://suchen.mobile.de/…/193845939.html?…

  • Help with the installation of electric window lifter for the Clio II

Hello, I’m new here and have the following problem: For months our electric window lifter has been defective at our Clio II (built in 2000) on the driver’s side. Now I wanted to take care of it, at Renault it costs completely approx. 336€ (today on the phone). The window lifter alone approx. 226€ net. On the Internet I get the but for less than 100€. Now the question: Is it difficult to change the self or is the forgiven love trouble? I’m not sure if I can change the part without any instructions. The technician on the phone said it took about 45min. Maybe someone is coming from the area Bielefeld and can help me? I would be very grateful for your help!! Greeting, Rasender Falke

  • TüV-examination before maturity

Hello colleagues from MT, I have been standing in the garage for some time (December 2013) a Renault Clio B/C57 year ’96. The badge of the TüV is still valid until April 2015 (i.e. about a 3/4 year). However, because of the age and the relatively long service life, I fear that the vehicle is no longer in such a good condition. Therefore, I consider whether it makes sense to present the car in an initial way at the TüV. Since I do not have a suitable other forum I have found myself here (at least this comes from the vehicle closest). Can someone answer me from my own experience a few questions: -Do I get a full 2 years new TüV if the review is positive? Back date to the last TüV would be meaningless, because in April I have to show the car either way – if the vehicle has defects (low or substantial, but NO TRANSPORT SUSTAINABILITY) then I am forced to show the car again before April Is my car even closed down if such defects are found and I do NOT appear to be a follow-up? -What has to be done according to experience if the FZG has not been moved for such a long time? Unfortunately, the battery is dead, since I forgot to disconnect the mass. But will be fixed either by charging or replacing it. I thank you already in advance for your competent answers according to experience! Greeting Chris

  • Purchase advice

Hello everyone with this Clio:http://suche.mobile.de/…/208712780.html?original=PARK# Will the days also try. Do I bother from the first view only the yellow badge, can one retrofit the one on Euro 4, which he easily gets the yellow badge? I don’t know myself with Renault at all, am rather VW driver, but with the prices, which are demanded even for a 2006 Golf Diesel, I think about that still 3x. Interesting for me feedbacks about r possible weaknesses, on which I have to pay attention during a test drive etc. For soon answers from you experts, if possible also from people who drive this model, I would be extremely grateful. In this sense

  • Blinker malfunction

After the Christmas holidays, the company car causes problems with the flashing system. When it is activated, it flashes quickly, as if there was a mistake. All flashers (lamps) flash. Then I saw, someone plugged a 13<>7 adapter into the trailer socket during the holiday season, so use the car and not remove the adapter again. What seemed funny to me, with these vehicles, let these adapters put in the socket, so it comes without trailer to this fast flashing. anyway, the malfunction did not change after the apdater was removed. Monday and Tuesday I was driving around with the hecktic blinking. This morning, I’m going to go, it flashes again as usual, so error-free.Now my question, may it be that the vehicle has a learning counter, when detecting errors ? …in conjunction with the socket of the trailer coupling ? I had read e.g., would the control unit for the trailer coupler fail, short circuit , fuse defective, so it would also come to this fast blinking, and not necessarily only by defective illuminants.

  • Megane II Purchase: Which engine and what is to be paid attention!?

Hey dear community! I’m looking for the right car for me at the moment. I’m currently heading towards Renault Megane II (Facelift). Since I’m looking for a station wagon, and this one is not even that small, it’s probably a good choice, especially since I’ve heard a lot of good things about this car so far. Anyway, I’m unsure about the engine choice. I drive a lot of highway (90%), so a little bit of performance would of course be desirable. However, since I don’t know about the Renault engines, I need help here. The 1.5 is supposed to be very economical and robust. The performance is supposed to be fine. I hear less good about the 1.9, it should be more vulnerable and hardly go better, but need a liter more and of course also cost more tax and insurance. The 2.0 is supposed to be really good again and also fun, and this in case of a car, the 2.0 is supposed to be good again. How is that all right? Is the 1.9r also a good choice, or would you prefer to grab the 1.5r or 2.0r? The next point I want to ask is what you should look for when you look at a used megane. You’ll probably be looking at a price segment of 7000-8000€ and if possible buy one with Keyless Entry – Drive. So the cars will have something between 50,000 and 125,000km down. Would be very grateful if you had tips for me. Sincerely, Marc

  • Comparison: Megane Coupe III Tce 180 with Megane RS 250. Maintenance costs, consumption, maintenance.

Hello dear motor talk community. This is my first post. Have the following question: I am in the decision phase whether to buy a Megane Tce 180 or better equal to a Megane RS 250. According to my bill, the cost difference between both vehicles, with a driving performance of 15,000 km is about 600-700 euros for petrol, tax and insurance (have a relatively good SF class in the insurance), since I have been driving accident-free for 22 years. only the Tce 130 (this, however, is not in question for me) and the Tce 190. (should be a swallowing woodpecker) Before I really venture to the RS, (search factor) I ask around a bit, what experiences you have, especially with regard to the running costs. Would you buy the RS again, or, despite all the driving pleasure, decide against an RS? Rejoice me about your answers Greeting

  • Renault Trafic bj 2003 double din radio installation

Moin, I’m only sporadically active here but still I don’t think a performance is necessary anymore. I have to say that I’m just a little overburdened. Usually such banal topics are treated to Hauf in forums but I didn’t find anything at all. Well, yes. So I want to install a double Din radio in my Renault Trafic. To do this I definitely need a new slot box. That’s where the problem started. There are tens of different ones, most of them starting in 2011. On Go ogle result page 4!!!! Did I then find this: https://www.adaptershop.de/…/…versal radio mounting frame::234.html Is that right? Then the next question, I certainly need an adapter on Iso, right? Which one do I need? Do I also need phantom feeds or something like that? How does this work with the steering wheel remote control? Which Can Bus adapter do I need? Have only louder and quieter. Radio should become a Clarion nx502e. Is there anything else to consider? h feel like an idiot, my Ford didn’t take ten minutes to collect all the info. Hope you can help me. Best regards Jannik
