  • Windscreen or headlamp washing system

Hello municipality, it’s me again. My problem today revolves around the (apparently not so widespread) headlight washing system. Do I have to dismantle the fender in order to get to the pump for it? Because, in my attempt to get that way, it didn’t work. I don’t know if the previous owner has been there before, fact is anyway, I have the nozzles in the bumper, from these also hoses go into the wheel box. From the other side, than from the inside, comes also a wire harness, with plug, probably the control line. On the tank itself I find, if I reach under the wheelhouse cover, only a float, which triggers the warning light at too low a level but I find no pump, especially because hoses and cables are even loosely under the cover. Since I do not know now exactly where the pump should sit, keep my question, whether I have to come up with this or whether the fender has to come down for it. By the way, the whole is on the left side, so that the Over from the windscreen washing system, just for information Maybe someone can help me. Thanks already. Lg, Jörg

  • New problem? Give car (diesel) extremely loud on the gas

Hello together I have a problem again with my Renault Scenic 2005 diesel engine. After I was on the road last night everything was still running completely normal. Then I parked briefly, was short at the bakery, wanted to get back in, switched on car and I had a quite loud knocking noise in the engine room.In the afternoon I was at my workshop to have it checked, what suddenly happened with my car. After the car mechanic then the car control he said to me that it was hydraulic plungers. So he threw some oil in it, even though the car actually had enough in it (was about minimum). A few weeks ago I had already filled oil myself, because the car had shown this on. Of course also the right thing! He then told me to drive around with it for a few days, 2-3 days, and see if the noise disappeared. But now I noticed something today. e knocking is partly gone, but I have another problem and that’s how it is when I give gas that the car is extremely loud. I also have the feeling that the car comes much slower to the speed from normal and according to my inside indicator I had today several times just on 13 l/100km, which is not the case otherwise! It sounds like the exhaust is over, however the noise definitely comes from the engine compartment (which I think at least!) If the car mechanic but most likely even if there were something with the exhaust or pipe or not? The sounds can only be heard so extremely loud when you are sitting in the car. If you are standing in front of the bonnet, it is not much louder than usual. Besides, I hear a very easy rattle from the front. What I find strange is, if I brake the car or kick the clutch, the car is so extremely quiet. Yesterday at the car workshop I also noticed, that the engine has wobbled quite a bit when starting, whether this is normal or not, can I not judge????????? Maybe you can help me. I am overwhelmed. My car is like an Advent calendar, constantly finds new ?? Thanks already and sunny days still. Lg

  • Buy Renault 19 Chamade or not? Tips and help?

Hello R19 fans! In search of a new used car I found a R19 Chamade 1.721, step tail, 1992 year, gasoline, with 90 hp and automatic and think about buying it. Because the car looks optically top maintained, electrics like SD, ZV works, timing belts were changed before 22,000km, tacho under 160,000km, he also has 1.5 years TÜV and would be very cheap. Especially since he would cost with Euro 2 even only 132€ taxes… So far so good. Only what worries me a little i I have read a lot that this cult car is supposed to have a very high fuel consumption, especially with automatic! Sad I found some information about various Google actions, but 99.99% were the values with a switchcar or a convertible with automatic. I also know that an automatic needs about 1 liter more, which I could live with if it were less than 10l/100km… My questions are now whether you have experience values for me on fuel consumption with car matik and generally with such a model of the R19 have for me? occasion14 Hope for numerous answers from you… Many greetings Joe

  • 1.5 dci cold start restless speed variation

Vehicle Renault Megane Grandtour, BJ 2013, 1.5dci 110ps, 151,000km. It starts again, despite the replacement of the injectors it starts again this year. The video is only an example because I usually don’t have my mobile phone at hand and the phenomenon is not quite as strong at the moment. https://youtu.be/5M-ajmq8eXE No error in the error memory. The problem is only a short time, after about 2-5 minutes it runs perfectly. In the network it is called normal behavior for a 1.5dci. I am not satisfied. The following would fit well (excerpt from the forum) : With very low fuel injection quantities smaller about 4 mg (in thrust) it is necessary that the rail pressure regulator controls some fuel from the high-pressure system. The reason is that the high-pressure pump is not zero transportable. This means that the high-pressure pump also promotes fuel into the high-pressure system when the volume control valve is closed. This would result in too high rail pressure and therefore too high The control types are active in the following operating points: At engine start: The pressure control is always active. If the engine is running: If the coolant temperature is below 1 °C, the pressure control is always active. If the coolant temperature exceeds 15 °C, the combined control is always active. So in my case, a defect pressure control valve on the rail could be responsible? On suspicion, I would not like to exchange, since it costs approx. 100-1300€.

  • Driver’s door has new window lifter and does not close properly

Hello dear talker, My Megane ll Cabrio, BJ.2005 needed a new window lifter in the driver’s door last fall. Was not easy to get, except too high price at Renault. At Autodoc I got the set, without engine. In a workshop I had everything installed. Works, but the disc goes too high. Door closes badly and is already a bit warped. Now I learned that the disc has to go down when the cabrio opens the door. Has my car never made , I’ve been looking for it for 4 years. Now the error is being searched. Wrong window lifter? Although… When ordering, not only were key numbers compared, but also vehicle identification number, engine code, EAN, everything. Can /must be set? What can be the reason why the disc doesn’t go down when opening? Does any of you have experience? Thank you for every helpful tip.

  • Renault Megane II Windscreen wiper problem

Hello! Recently on the highway the windscreen wiper engine really burned down. First the wipers stopped in the middle of the window, then a little later came a stench from the ventilation…….From to Renault – they have changed the complete windscreen wiper engine – and now; the windscreen wiper still spins….and it remains on the disc again and again and can often not be switched off. If you pull the plug and put it back on then me …he didn’t do that before, since the engine was always weak as I find it, but there were no such problems……Renault dealer said: The defect came before because some drain had been clogged and water has penetrated and now the electrical system could be the problem……Of course, that costs a lot on its own to figure out what it is — but I’m not even sure if it’s true what they’re saying, after all, there was this problem. ps.: With my old Mitsubishi I had a similar problem: Mitshubishi dealer said engine was broken – swapped and problem was still there – then they thought the switch was broken – changed and still the same problem – then I went to Eektrik specialized mechanics and they realized that only a STECKER was wrong…… so I would like to avoid unnecessary repairs this time…… I hope he didn’t… r can help me

  • Kurva. Please specialists. Feel vibrations like ignition oscillations

Hello dear forum. I happen to have become the owner of a Megane 2002 1, 6 With 107 hp. It goes amazing for its 1.6 liters. It also runs quite well with its 83,000 kilometers. But what really bothers me enormously, in the stationary gas and only there, I feel at my poppo a jerking like if the engine had ignition oscillations. The speed fluctuates but not that can be recognized at the rev indicator. In the technical Renault booklet what is included in the car, what is not adjustable of stationary gas. I can’t imagine that this should be normal, can I ask because in certain forums on the Internet, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to find out where these components are sitting? Maybe a sensor or a signal is wrong what causes anomalies in the engine control. I’m sitting in the car and you really feel this annoying shaking in the stationary gas. … My girlfriend who doesn’t have a plan of cars, he noticed it first. I can’t imagine that this should be normal or? I would be very grateful if someone could give me advice. Thanks in advance MfG Markus

  • Oil loss – sealant? Renault Megane II 1.6 16V Automat Jg. 2006 (K4M813)

Hello people My engine loses oil right between engine block and gearbox. It’s definitely engine oil, not transmission oil. I wanted to ask if someone has experience with oil removals for sealing. Please don’t “They break the seals” again and so. There are probably people who have already used such things. I would like to read their experience. Since it’s not much (I’ve never had to refill oil), but next TÜV is standing up and you can see that it leaks, I’d like to read about it. my workshop suggested to try it once with an engine oil supplement. Since I had to drive about 50km to the test site, it would probably be like it is now despite previous good washing down of the engine already give again slight traces of the leakage up to there. Of course, he can give me no guarantee that it works with a sealing agent. One would have to make complete oil change to mix the additive. Actually a pity because I did the only before about 800km, abe r if it would help – what’s the point. A repair would be quite expensive, the workshop said – and the cart is already a little older, and now has almost 180’000km. Hours of work here in Switzerland are extremely expensive (from 120.- per hour upwards). Who has experience with such mediums, and which brand I know, that there are amounts here on the side in other forums already, but I would like to read their feedback about it from Renault drivers, because the engines and their seal ngen do vary. For tips always grateful Mitch
