  • Megane 1.4 16V often does not start (again)

    Hello Schrauberfreunde, my wife has a Megane convertible 1.4 16V year 2002. She loves the thing. I get a crisis again and again when my cell phone rings and woman does not get started after your purchase the car. The engine purrs like a clockwork, car is warmed off and just doesn’t jump after 20 min now and again. Do you wait for some time again in butter????!! Have you already given tips like: close the box again, open the keys in and But I don’t think it has to do with it. Could it possibly have to do with the reverb sensor (OT sensor)?? Have you read here (since this has been going on for a while) that there have been problems with the part before. Does anyone have experience or tips?? Thank you in advance!!

  • Check injection/ ESP,ASR defective

    Hello Renaulter, I have a problem with my Megane Phase 2 1.6.16v from 2003. And indeed the car starts to stutter after about 15 KM, as if a ignition coil is defective, and I get the error messages: Injection check/ ESP/ASR defective. From Renault I got an estimate over 280€, where they just want to change everything, injection, cable trees, control unit….. Does it seem to me that they don’t even know where the error lies, because first they had the ignition coil changed. Has someone had the same problem, or an experience in this kind. Error occurs only when the engine is warm. Thanks Fünner

  • So much choice- WELL Megane?

    My first post here, please don’t kill right away, my car knowledge is limited. After testing some combinations of different manufacturers, my heart is stuck on a megane – regardless of the appearance, the way of driving, the equipment or the general gut feeling. However, I can’t quite choose WELCHEN because now, because all the names and submodels confuse me. In the end, I could narrow it down into the following line: Renault Megane Grandtour Bose Edition ENERGY dCi 130 (built in 2014 and up) Now to the questions: – What does this “ENERGY” have to say? Less fuel consumption? Visually, I could not notice anything or did I miss something? – I am very pleased with the panoramic roof, but only read about it on the web. Is there experience? – 110 or 130 HP? Again and again I read from people who were supposed to have bought the 110 and wanted to have fetched something more afterwards. Does this work out strongly in fuel consumption? Is there a noticeable difference? – What do you think I’m going to drive around 25,000km a year – how does the car last for the long term? – Other things I should know you didn’t think of? (I’m going to buy a used car, something else I have to pay attention to?) Greetings

  • Ask Renault Megane 3 RS / RS monitor

    Hello. I’m just getting a Renault Megane III RS. Have a good offer. Just unfortunately don’t understand the thing with the RS monitor. Doesn’t every Megane RS have the standard display like charge pressure and accelerator position etc.???? So the vehicle that I’m interested in has no Navi. So without this whole unit next to the hand brake. But it has a display in the center console. Although not the large RS monitor but the small display. Can that be the RS there is where oh nothing has??? That means in the display only the radio and time??? That would be sad. And how to turn on the sport mode with such models. Next to the steering wheel there is only one switch with Esp I believe. Don’t see it in the pictures correctly. Would be great if someone could help me. Greetings

    Hi guys, I didn’t know where to write it here. I’m looking for a good free workshop that doesn’t require moon prices, for my Renault Megane II convertible 1.6 liters 16V. I’m looking for the change of the timing belt and all the parts that you can exchange there, like wapu and tension rollers etc, and of course also the V-belt/V-belt or as it all is called. I’ve asked for a big chain, whose name I don’t call here, they want about 800,- EUR O. A single workshop here in the vicinity, wants to have almost 770 euros for it. I would be willing to pay up to 450,- Euro for something like that if somehow possible. So I am looking for a small free workshop (like 1 man operation), which can do the whole for me, of course with invoice and guarantee then logically. The current pay strap was changed at 123.xxx KM, but has already been in 2010. Now I have 177,xxx KM on the clock. Every 5 years or 120,000 KM is this yes at the Megane too According to a workshop nearby, the belt is porous and possibly also the belt. I bought the car only about 3 weeks ago and unfortunately do not know if the belt was changed during the last timing belt change, therefore it can also be that the belt looks even better. According to this workshop, the car is otherwise absolutely top there, no axles/leaking game or as it is called, wheel bearings look so good, no rust. 🙂 Thanks for the help Postcode-Bereic h then quite roughly 86xxx.   • Renew the brake discs & blocks at the back of the Megane II

    Hello community…… at the Megane II of my son’s man, the blocks and the discs are through. The front is the same, but the front is not the topic. In the back, the wheel hub is part of the disc, how can I change this unit. Do I need special tools for this? Is only one nut centrally secured at the back? Or is there something pressed in? Special torques to consider? I know many questions… I’m quite new to the screwdriving and need some tips. If it’s not possible ic h stop with my boy to the screwdriver of our trust. And no inhibitions, I am not zimperlich at the tackle;-) and totally dussily to turn is actually not my thing. ….. nice thanks also already in advance….. Greetings Markus 😉

  • Renault Grand Scenic BJ2004 JM interior fan does not run

    Hello, with my Renault Grand Scenic 1.6 BJ2004 type JM the interior fan is no longer running. If I set different fan levels on the control panel of the air conditioning system, the display changes, but at no level is anything to be heard and no air draught to feel. The workshop says that the fan engine and the control system are broken. Repair approx. 700€! It costs so much because the complete dashboard has to be removed. Now I want to repair this myself. I w I’m not a passionate car screwdriver. Do you really need to extend the dashboard for changing the fan motor and possibly renew the PWM control?? If I understand that correctly, the fan motor sits near the glove compartment. Can you get over it? If not, is the dashboard’s removal difficult? Does one need special tools for? Does jeman ever know how to use it? d on the Internet a guide with pictures of how to do that? I am grateful for hints of all kinds.

  • Renault Clio 2 1.2 16V oil in air filter and emergency run

    Hey guys, I already asked a question about oil in the plug from the throttle valve Poti and the resulting emergency run a few months ago. Now it is that after less than 5,000 km the engine has gone back into the emergency run. So disassembled and see again everything full of oil. So I cleaned it and error is gone first. Accordingly, oil is burned of course. On request at Renault they could not help me any further and also I am with my Latin on the End. Does any of you have any idea what else I can do?   • Flamming in oil after oil change

    Hi, I just have a well-known problem, namely smear on the oil lid and on the plug but.. last Friday I had an oil change at A.., offer thought I is OK 1. Release waste oil and dispose of 2. Oil filter changes together with new seals 3. new oil complete services for 39,90€ but I found today that I have a huge smear collar, can it lie on the oil? Because before the oil change everything was OK, there was nothing because I am dependent on the car and almost t every Wednesday I got used to checking the car – all liquids are visible and, if necessary, fill up – light check – look after the profile – look briefly at the stage and look like the cart looks from below – etc today at the check then the smudge my Clio 1,2l 75 hp BJ 6/2001 and more than 200tsd Km on the speedometer times apart from the fact that I think that you distributed more oil on the engine than tipped pure, it can be here a wrong oil has been used or where comes from the smear

  • Should I keep my Clio II 1.2?

    Hey you, quite strange entry but I need some help. And I bought a Clio II 1.2 from 1999 in September. I’m also very satisfied. Now I have to get new TÜV made soon and I’m looking back and forth to see if I should have the car repaired or not. The following should be done: My brakes, which is not particularly wild, because wear part and something like that was to be seen. The same is true for my wheel bearing at the front left. I already have a new wheel Abe ordered and could also have it installed. Also, the car has a lot of little pains. From time to time the airbag light flashes, the old-known problem with the passenger seat. Once sits adjusted, the lamp goes off again. My battery should also be replaced. The two bigger problems are the following: My car always loses a little bit of oil. Never much and never so that I drive at least or like that, but it is not normal. When I was in the workshop, said m I think I’ve been having problems with the immobilizer for about a week. I’ve read in the internet and seen that this can often be the key. When I start the car, it often only works on the 2nd or 3rd time. The lamp for the WFS then also glows like crazy. Now that I’ve read on the internet that a new key will fix the problem. But that would be 100€ again. For a car, which is 20 years old… What do you think? Try TÜV again or rather put money aside directly for a new car?
