  • Vehicle no longer starts. Immobilizer active again?

    Hi, to make it as short as possible. It’s about the Clio 2 year 98-99. About 2 weeks ago he started to make 3-4 times absolutely no noises in a period of 4-5 days, when I tried to start the car. Not even a click or something like that. Whenever I pulled out the key then, a bit played around with the central locking (also with the one in the console) afterwards it went again. Sometimes after 1-2 times, sometimes even after 3-4 attempts. Then the problem stopped, and about 1 week ago he suddenly started to make noises, but not to jump on. (Insider would have to work. If a gear is inserted, and I don’t brake, the car makes a set forward. Once ignition off, turn back and start already. Before that, however, everything did not help any more. Oddly enough, the central locking on the key went also for about 5-10 minutes, and also on the button in the console, no longer even the light on the key flashed. After these 5-10 minutes, the central lock went suddenly again, without a reason. The previous owner (My brother) had had the immobilizer deactivated in January 2020 via a software update. Car stood 1 year before the door, therefore battery dead. Was replaced, and the new once even deep discharge (because I had forgotten to turn off the light because the door contact switch does not work). Can happen that the immobilizer thereby (or from other Grü nd) might have switched it on again? Although it was disabled with a software update? Or would you possibly have another idea that might be there? I am dependent on the car for health reasons, and can not leave it standing for long.   • Clio IV without Apple Carplay/ Android Car?

    Hello, I’m just looking for a replacement for my Clio 2 and see that there are some Clio 4 Kombi backrunners from government use with little mileage on the used market. Some are Ez 2020, which was the last model year for the 4 Kombi according to Wiki. In addition, some in the equipment “Business”, which is actually really good. BUT: not a single vehicle has a board despite large display and Navi Apple Carplay or Android car. Was this the case with the 4er at all? Find the b I mean, even the Dacia Sandero 2 had that on board in the end. I find this problematic with new purchases now always because the whole infotainmentkram is hopelessly outdated in a few years anyway and one is much more up-to-date with the mobile phone, also and especially with regard to navigation. There are aftermarket solutions, but they are expensive first and secondly increases a good, large exchangera the IMO also always a little the risk of burglary.

  • No more power – Renault Megane 1.4 16v Built 2002

    Greetings to everyone here, I came across this forum via Google and hope someone can help me. My Renault Megane 1.4 16v year 2002 started spinning yesterday while driving. He ran with one time as if only 3 cylinders run. In the stand lies the rotary zal at about 500 revolutions. Have looked today a bit: -All 4 cylinders run (although he sounds like on 3 pötten and also takes as bad gas) -No oil in the water -No water in the oil I don’t know how else I know I had a car there because of a defective candle a cylinder failed and it ran then only on 3. It feels the same way with the Megane, but all cylinders run ( hilarious). Has anyone had an idea or this problem already? Lg Nino

    Hello experts, I was yesterday at the TÜV and it criticized the following: -brake disc front excessive wear (21,8 predetermined, measured: 21,5mm) -brake disc rear: excessive wear (6.5 predetermined, measured 5,9mm) -brake pads rear: cut-off measure reached or below -spur bar left & right The workshop (ATU) has made the following offer for the work: Material: brake disc 2x, track rod head 2x, track rod 2x and other material = 730€ Wage: 35 0€ I’m absolutely not a technician, can change the car battery, but that’s it, that the brakes are important, is it clear to me! That with the costs has knocked me down and therefore the question to you, is the price fair? What do I have to pay attention to when reproducing?     Hey, I’ve been having a problem with my Clio 3 for half a year If I want to start my car, if it’s cold, it turns immediately to 1,000 revolutions, but then shuts down immediately. If I let the starter turn on, it tries to start all the time (10-20 seconds) until it finally starts. I researched and it was supposedly due to the crank or camshaft sensor. Both changed but didn’t do anything. When the engine is warm it runs quietly and As soon as the car stands for at least one hour, it is as if the engine simply has no power to start.   • Megane 2 – Farewell is approaching….

    After more than 8 years with the French “Knackärschen”, in which I had 2.5 Megane II, the unexpected and far too early end now threatens. With my Meggi GT now, after 176,000 km, a transmission damage is announced. And – I had not thought possible so far – I have seen myself somehow tired. A sad farewell. Especially since finally really money has flown in again. Before 20,000 a new turbo. Before 15,000 a new steering gear.
