  • 120 g CO2/km, how does Saab want to reach the target?

The advance from Germany and France shows clearly where it is going. The regulatory demands a reduction in CO2 values – who is surprised? But is Saab ready for it? Is GM/ Opel ready for it? Saab is currently on an innovation course in the GM Group (XWD/ TurboX). The 1.9 TTiD is no hyperspar wonder. The 2.8 Aero is beyond these specifications. The B207 engines are also too far away. The E85 dream bubble bursts more and more and is no long-term strategy, with good luck a mid-term In Germany, gas prices are to rise, and this is no longer a way out of the gasoline misery. Innovations are to be promoted according to the D/F model. Whatever the rationale of the Autmobil manufacturers, the ideas are to be transformed into innovations. Are direct injections, variable compression or/and compressor/turbo engines coming now or will one simply pay punishment? Or hybrid drives? With transitional periods, 2015 should be concluded. Drift?

  • Saab 9-9

Today I read a small article about the future of Saab. 2010/11 probably the Saab 9-9 will see the light of the world. It will become the largest Saab limosine and the competition is called E-Class and Co. It will be some parts with the future Cadillac CTS. Standard will become the 2.8 V6 and taking into account the future oil prices the AERO will receive the V8. (presumably under the current situation the European market will get a powerful This el) The length of the car is 5 meters and the wheelbase is 3 meters. Saab’s upcoming Saab 9-1 Golf and Co Saab 9-2 model range is a little smaller than the 9-3 Saab 9-3 Limosine/Kombi with choice of four wheel Saab 9-5 the same as the 9-3 only with more spacious interior Saab 9-9 see above, only Limosine Saab 9-4 Crossover Add a scan of the 9-9, where you can recognize Saab’s new line and ask yourself the question should look like the 9-5. The 9-5 should next Yes I guess the new 9-5 will be a mix of 9-3 and 9-9. Source: Teknikens Värld, Sweden mfg. sa-ko

  • Alternatives to Saab

Provocative question – admitted. And that from me. But who hasn’t loved a competitor’s product? Recently, I’ve seen myself more and more often on the websites of Audi and Volvo. Apart from the suspension problems of my 93 – actually all 93-I (soft front axle/bushings) and always little things that I have to “optimize”, I’m satisfied with the Saab. I enjoy driving the 93 each time. But somehow the chemistry is no longer right. The 9000 and 93-I could still eat from this reputation. With the full entry of GM and the concentration of the development centers, Saab lost his face, already years ago. Obviously it is at the moment (production shift at the successors). From the former “premium mark” to the parking track. The cult is definitely passé. Volvo is “advanced” in the interior. I know two who drive one Volvo (XC90 and S60). Is also not the yellow of the egg. Vo But lvo would have the ultimate bonus as a Made in Sweden with me, as a Swedish fan. Audi has charm in the interior, good chassis, good exterior design, a built-in engine compartment and, unfortunately, timing belts in general. You see, I’m not only interested in design, but also in the technology or its implementation and subsequent costs. We have an Audi in our house and have never had any stress with Audi workshops, contrary to my Saab workshop experience. Should that be a sign? I heard a fitting slogan: “Ready to go – happy to stay”. The ring is opened.

  • “Nice” neighbours 🙁

actually the picture says everything… somehow the door didn’t open as far as it was intended, as someone had already made similar experiences and possibly knows how the chances of success stand here? – cause vehicle is known, so it was still standing next to my – the type is not really an easy-to-use contemporary and will certainly deny the harm (no contact so far) – police has initiated a procedure according to duty because of driver flight according to §142 – for the police the matter is kla r (interested the insurer certainly but little), damage was measured at both kfz, but no paint sample taken – of course no one will contact the insurance tomorrow. or should I rather clean the whole myself and save the whole quark, because anyway brings nothing?

  • Petrol/diesel is not expensive!

The other day I was travelling in German lands. I was quite scared about a massive increase in aggressiveness. I am on the left track with 160-180 and hold a minimum safety distance, let’s say. No chance of overtaking, as column is on the way. There are really fun birds, which overtake right, squash in just in front of me, that I have to brake really nasty. And these fun birds drive so on and overtake the next in the same way. I don’t know how close they are to a collision? At 160/180 I am currently no longer in the river in Germany, but I seem to be an obstacle. Wasn’t until 6 months ago. So the fuel can’t be expensive. Then the thick gasoline swallowers pull past me, which consumes beyond the 10 liters. I would be annoyed to drive out every few 100 km to refuel, to wait long until the monster tanks are filled and then a lot of eurons over the Tres As I said, I’m also on the move. On the last trip region Bern – Osnabrück a consumption of 6,8 l came about, range over 900 km. The consumption is usual with us in D – because the car is full up to the neck collar. There I find the consumption not excessive. However, the next car must be more economical. How do you register the behavior on the highway and how do you adjust the driving speed to the current fuel prices? Is the fuel consumption a wic Hedge criterion when buying a car?

  • Plaque delusion (DPF) and foreigners?

In the press one reads a lot about the particle (exhaust) madness in Germany. Whole cities should only be experienced with such funny coloured plaques. My car has Swiss license plates, but I am more often in Germany. I don’t get a badge with Swiss enrollment. How does that happen in concrete terms? I would be entitled to the yellow badge (EURO3 without DPF). When can I drive to the problematic cities and when not? Is this dependent on the measured values of the measurement? or does this always apply? Has the German bureaucrats regulated this in pure culture? The stylized, bitten apple on my tailgate doesn’t count?

  • What’s at the current 9-5 old?

Servus, I would like to ask the provocative question to the experts what is the current 9-5 old ! I bought myself recently again a car magazine in which the plans of the German manufacturers for the next years were described. It was not a car in which I would have spontaneously said , I want to have ! About the glasses of the 9-5 you can surely argue, I also don’t like it particularly , but the form of the current 9-5 is after 12 years construction time still in my opinion t. So what’s better with the new models ? The engines ? Safety ? Comfort ? Gearbox ? Appearance ? Do you need the electronic gimmiks like distance warning, rear-view camera, seat vibrator when man/woman drives over a white line really ? I’ve been driving car for over 40 years and have never missed these things ? Do the young people need that ? A German manufacturer now makes advertising with incredibly many abbreviations which can be installed in his cars naturally with extra price. I think we need the money in the future to be able to pay our gasoline. I can’t see some groundbreaking news in automobile construction. For me, the convulsive methods are to pull more and more money out of the customer’s pocket and make the cars harder and harder. Lightweight construction is going to last, and thus less consumption. So as I said, I’m asking for clarification. What’s really new about the NEW ??? Or what’s old about 9-5!

  • Leather sports seats

Hello everyone, am a new member. Therefore I do not know if this topic has already been addressed. My Saab is now one and a half years old. I must say that I am not satisfied with the leather quality at all! There the color of the seats is washed off when entering the seams (light leather). This looks now under all S.. And then you get from the Saab European representative still, you can not drive with these leathers with jeans pants! I can’t remember at all, so I read a passage in the instructions for use. In any case, this gentleman was ‘very generous’. He then gives me a new reference from Kulanz. But the cost of the installation should I take over!!! So in my opinion this is a groundless impudence of Saab! That’s why this was my first and last. Who has also experienced such a similar situation? And above all, what can one do in order not to remain on the cost?

  • Saab at the “Checker” on DMAX

Hej, the checker was looking for a sporty limusiene for a growing family and next to an Alfa 164 (diesel) and a BMW 323i (Bj.99) was actually a Saab 9000 Turbo Aero (Bj.95) with. But typical … Saab : highest performance of all, best equipment, lowest mileage and lowest price ! – But looks from the front like a Japanese, Alu`s ugly, two small scratches and a fallen rear emblem. Inside beautiful leather seats and plenty of space but cheap plastic around the Instruments and “pink” seams at the comfortable aero armchairs. Well… and who won of course … the BMW, because it has so much airbags and so great pulled during the highway test with its 170 hp ! But no aluminum, CD, only air conditioning (is not so sensitive…) less space and still for the highest price!. Must finally still get accessories so that it looks “sporty”. Well, pity but at least the 2nd place occupied.

  • Boundary…:(

Hi girls. It’s my personal problem, for which I don’t have a real solution at the moment. My 9000aero is 15 years old and has run 275,000km. Currently I run for 350€ petrol per month….2500km per month!!! Installing an LPG system in the old car is not worth it….but the car is top and ideal for trailer operation. Therefore I want to keep it and not give it up for small money. But for the daily journey to work it is too expensive and also too expensive for So I’m looking for a small car that’s fun and still doesn’t consume much…sometimes it’s gas suitable… At my first sighting of the usual portals I can only say: I’m not buying a small car! The prices are way too high…or they’re brands and models that I wouldn’t buy. I hate to hand over the Aero and buy a young car that can easily pull the trailer…would be a possibility. blem. Or just buy a used Saab…which has a few kilometers…but no longer costs like 5000 thaler…and install LPG there and keep the Aero. Or I leave Saab completely and buy myself a Landrover….for the trailer …and a lotus for the way to work???
