According to reports, Saab filed for insolvency
On Thursday, the Supervisory Board met for a special meeting by video connection between the European GM headquarters and the Saab headquarters. According to media reports, the most important agenda was the resolution for an insolvency application. Quote: Saab Saab is one of the smallest car manufacturers in Europe with an annual production of 125,000 cars (2007). The company was founded in 1937 for the production of military aircraft. In 1990, the US company General Motors (GM) took over 50 percent of the shares as well as the operational management. Ten years later, the rest of the shares in the world’s largest car company at that time also went on. Up to a short phase in the 1990s, Saab always lost to the parent company. This is also why in 2005 Sweden had to pay a part of its share of the company’s capital. the planned production of new Saab models to the German GM subsidiary Opel in Rüsselsheim. As a result of the chronic losses and constant underutilization, the number of employees has fallen to 4000, of which 3700 at the main plant Trollhättan north of Gothenburg. GM officially sold Saab at the end of 2008, without ever finding any interested party.

IAA report – Disappointment at Volvo
Hello, I don’t want to bore you now with the xth IAA report or with photos. I would be interested, however, if it was similar to others with Volvo. As Sweden friends we of course also looked at the Volvo stand. Besides the “normal suspects” there was as novelty the C70. First O-tone of my wife: With Volvo all cars look the same. In the closer exploration of the car I was then quite disappointed. My wife is completely right. Also there is no beautiful Coupe line more. The elegance of the old C70 coupe has completely disappeared. Obviously, due to the technical conditions, a folding roof can never form a beautiful Coupe line. Closed it looks simply too “eggy”. Due to the base S40/V50 the car also has a rather short bonnet, which makes the car in particular open look rather unshaped. The proportions are somehow not right. I find it annoying that the basic type is the S40/V50, the Wa The C70 is in particular against CLK, 3 Series convertible and, of course, 9-3 Convertible. The prices are supposed to be at Saab level. That’s what I think is a bit too expensive. It would have been honest for Volvo to call the car C50 and to make the car a little cheaper. Overall, I’m quite disappointed by the C70. The elegance has been completely lost by the folding roof and the base. Do you think of the new C70? I will miss the old one! Greetings Celeste

I’ll be gone.
So dear Saab community, time to go. After 19 years Saab (900i, 9000 2.3i, 9-3 2.0i, 9-3 Anni SE Turbo) comes to an end for me. I bought a Mercedes (oops!) because it comes closest to the things I liked at my Saabs. From Saab as a brand I expect nothing (after 9 years waiting for the next Hatchback) although I wish Saab the best. After a year ago I wanted an annual car and only friendly disinterest towards saab. h, then died some beautiful day of the Saab fan in me completely. The subsequent search promoted in the end a turbo charged C-Benz (CGI) annual car to the surface, which will certainly do his job well. I thank you all very much for advice and action and in future will be somewhat rarer, but no less interested, look in here. By the way, if someone wants my Saab (07/2002, 98 Tkm, 5door, 136 kw, T7, (Anniversary SE halt…) with TCS u. Tempomat…) TÜV und gr oße Insp. neu, 1a: This is still to be had… Simply PN, room Freiburg. So and now it’s good and don’t be surprised if a Mercedes driver greets 😉 Griffin

Buy Saab, can we trust each other?
Hello together, read a lot here but I don’t find what my question answers somehow… Drive is about 1.5 years a C30 but I already stood before the decision to buy Volvo or Saab at that time! But I had been advised not to go to the Saab because the situation was completely uncertain… The car dealership has Saab and Volvo under one roof so I don’t think that they just wanted to sell Volvo, especially since the boss, the father is my girlfriend so they were not allowed to sell me any more So now I’m happy with my C30, but it’s too small for me every now and then and so I think of buying a 9-3 station wagon again, because I’ve always found it really cool… But how does that look? Can you dare to buy a Saab? or is that still too uncertain and you can really throw a lot of money out of the window? How about the reliability of Saab? with Volvo I have in the 3 years where I drive Volvo not a single Pr oblem… spare parts are a bit more expensive but I have a good workshop from the hand… Greetings MoD1985

Build Saab race cars
Hello, I want to build a Saab race car based on my new red 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen Coupes. Here we can talk about this project. This thread is separated from the thread “Buy Saab in the USA”. The leather upholstery is black. I play with the idea to mount white lacquered deer rims. Gruss, Philip

Experiences with Saab Tuning SKR Performance in Paderborn
Hello Saab community I drive a Saab 95 Aero SC automatic, BJ 11/2002 and a Saab 93 2.0 t automatic, BJ 04/2002, Hischstep1. The deer performance for the “little” inspires me every time! Although the 95er is more powerful than the 93er (95: 184 KW/250 hp, 93: 155 KW/211 hp) the 93er seems to me faster! Now I stumbled over the following “Saab tuner” during “googling” and would like to know if any of you could already gain experience here:http://www.skr-p erformance.de/produkte/chiptuning.html Thank you for your answers! Best regards, the Michael Mark

Buy a Saab today?
Wants to out me as a somewhat insecure Saab fan! I first thought if I was attached to the Fred regarding Saab prognosis. Most know me as a long-term Saab fan, from several 9000s to 8-years deer, so enough of the assurance that I do not want to provoke with my question. Have a very, very nice offer from my dealer after the economic total engine damage of my deer. I like very, very good, the New 9-5. And even my Woman, what does it mean? Only, what if in one or two years the economic development of Saab is going down? What good is the best, because of me 3-year-old Saab-Protection, if I can’t get any parts or have to wait for months? Because free according to Murphy’s Law, things still break the greatest possible damage! If I go after reason, I would have to have the new passat with about the same machine, also 2 liters TID, AWD, plus DSG automatic transmission, plus this and that of Gimmnicks, which Saab does not offer or does not offer yet, ultimately about 5 mille less, fetch. I go after the heart, no question > Saab 9-5 II! But not only the heart, but also some very tangible plus also speak for the Saab! How realistic do you think the survival of Saab really is? Is my fear of the Saab end really, as I sometimes think, exaggerated? Oh yes, my deer will probably live on with Oli.

How expensive is replacing a fuse
Hello dear SAAB community, first of all a happy new 2011 and always good ride. Last month my washing system at the SC did not work for the rear window, but the wiper went. So I went to the friendly one, who looked and found that a fuse had burned through. Costs for the repair incl. fuse: 14,99 € I would be interested in what your SAAB dealers charge for such a “repair”. I’m anyway pissed off. 14 days before The dipped-beam was broken on the left, after the closing of the business, quickly passed A.T.U., the master was still there, changed the bulb and I paid only 7,49 € for the bulb. I expect a service like this from my SAAB dealer, especially because with my TTID in the same month also the exhaust gas return valve for 1600 € (car guarantee, otherwise 2000 € ) was changed. by the way, the car for this repair stood for 2 days with the friendly, nevertheless there is no problem there. If I noticed that the brake blocks were off at the front, this meant that I had to replace not only the brake blocks in 2000 KM later, but also needed new brake discs for an additional 300 €, I could have saved this 300 € if the SAAB dealer had only taken a quick look at the blocks. Übriigens changed the blocks and discs my tyre service, if the SAAB dealer had alerted me to the crazy brake blocks, I would have told my SAAB Dealer immediately gave the repair order, so this repair went to him “through the rags” and he did not deserve anything at all.

Saab tiredness
With me it’s time to think about a new station wagon. Unfortunately I don’t have the emotion to stay with Saab, I’m just tired of the interior design. I like my Saab 9-3 I very much and if I would be Kroesus I would also keep it in addition. The Saab 9-3II I like after the facelift but unfortunately I can’t really bear the “inner life” at the same time thanks to the company I travel with the car every day and I saw myself “satt”. I have the feeling that it is closer in the interior than with the 9-3I. The same is true for the 9-5, you get a lot of car for “little” money but the eye goes out again empty with me. 9-5 II, feel-good factor =10.0, you what kind of car even if I hit my head strongly when I got in (back) so came straight through the “must have” gene, only unfortunately I am dog owner and BRAUGE a station wagon. Yes I know, a station wagon comes but if this comes about as d he Opel Insignia with a big flap and a cleavage hole behind it has done the subject again. A Saab 9-4x would also agree with me but not with the planned engines, a 2.0 T Biopower is probably not too much for Europe required. I have to say that my car dealer covers a large range of manufacturers and so I happened to hit the Citroen C5. Price/performance ratio 1a, seating comfort top should give no problem with long distance, hydropneumatic Chassis (no idea yet not tested) Interior design tells me completely apart from the thousand buttons, disadvantage only 1. Petrol engine on offer Take a look at the fact that the C5 is a useful family carriage where driving comfort is great but driving fun remains a little on the track. My second selection is the Alfa Sportwagon price/performance well not as sensible as the Citroen, seating comfort everything very sporty no idea as it is on long distances to g eht, emotion quite big consumption no idea go from “dry” to “dry” These are my two new “favorites” with which I will now deal a little more and now must decide “eleganz”+”reason” or rather “sportiness”+”unreason” lg. sa-ko
