    Buying advice Renault Clio B from year 98 for max. 4000€ Hello forum, I would like to buy a small car for my wife. I want to spend a maximum of 4000€ and the car should have as far as possible less than 80Tkm on the clock. But as with women, it should also have the “nutty factor”.   • Automatic problems! Gang jumps out

    Hello everyone! Maybe the community can help me here… Renault can’t… Have a Reanault mode automatic with automatic transmission. In cold condition the gear jumps out. From the 4th to the 3rd, within the first 2-3 km. If you turn off the engine and start again – as long as the engine is warm – you can continue without any problems. You can then drive almost all day. If the vehicle is standing again, however, the problem starts again. KM-Stand 28.000. Renault doesn’t know what it is because this problem has never happened before. The board computer always shows: Check Gear-Box. After the restart this display of the board computer is gone. Am I actually the only one with this problem? Can someone help me here? Thank you!!

    Hello together. I was on a performance test stand with my Clio RS (Bj 11/2005) this morning. Now to the procedure: He drives the car on the wheels, puts exhaust air hoses behind the exhaust, sits down and does the test. He says that he did the measurement in 5th gear at 200 km/h. In 5 gears say and write 95KW on the front axle, plus 22KW for transmission, coupling etc. So we come in the end to 117kw(159hps)! Nominal power according to the letter is however 132!!KW(17 9hp)..makes a difference of 15KW (20hp). Super, right? Now the questions to you: – Is the test not normally done in the 4th gear? – Shouldn’t a blower run in front of the engine compartment to feed fresh air to the engine and protect against overheating? Less oxygen means worse combustion, so less power? – Of course I also called Renault and asked what should happen now. Renault requires a second test.. Costs should I take over.. n..is that OK? What happens if I am more than 10% during the second measurement? Will the engine be replaced or what will happen? – How much tolerance does such a dynamometer have?     Hello together , I intend to buy a new car and have among other things also the new Renault Clio in the sights. ! The car makes a passable impression on me and the price could (after negotiation ) fit well in my budget ! Now I try to get an overview which other factors could still speak for or against this car ! An acquaintance has told me that especially workshop and wear part costs with a Renault quite average who can tell me something about this from my own experience !   • Clio BJ 2015/16 120 tCE, Automatic, Limited; relay clacks extremely loud with windscreen wipers

    Hello, the following problem: I got my new Clio 4 (see above) a few days ago. Today it rained for the first time and I had the automatic on the windscreen wiper to use the rain sensor as well. I noticed during the ride an extremely annoying clacking from the steering wheel. Probably the relay. With automatic it clacks permanently at high and down the wiper; at interval and also rear windscreen wiper of course it clacks at the beginning and at the end of the process (al as soon as I turn the interval off and on). Now my first question: is this also clearly audible with your Clios (especially now Clio iv series 2015 would be interesting). Second question: either way, it bothers me madly, don’t know that of significantly older cars of different brands, even though I am aware that there is a relay working inevitably makes noises, but just not so loud! I spent a lot of money on this Clio, because everything is in it, and that I find it impossible that there is such a problem with a new car. Can I insist on a dealer and an exchange of the relay? Do you think that this can solve the problem at all? If no, alternatives? By the way, have a similar problem also with the climate automation; however, it clicks there “only” three times at the beginning and afterwards irregularly, so I could still live with it.   • Cooling water boils- Workshop means cylinder head gasket R19

    hi, I don’t understand anything about cars, my parents drive a 1993 Renault 19 and have actually already renovated a lot about the car: clutch disc, brake disc, end stage, then there was something about the carburettor (the line that hangs on the gas pedal, I think or so), suspension springs, both exhaust pots renewed. allidngs we have a problem, for some time the cool water is brown and in summer already overcooked, it was called that at r19 nothing unusual, have from time to time cool water now the engine temperature indicator is already after 3-5 minutes on MAXIMAL!!!!! also the internal ventilation (warm scent for passengers my) remains cold !, naturally we are to the workshop, first of all it was fixed that the fan (this propeller) did not work anymore, the switch was changed and then the also went at least test time, but as cool water replenished wu rde immediately boiled the cooling water, bubbling. then workshopman said that it was probably cylinder head gasket and that the repair of the old car might not be worth it any more. so he said it would cost between 500-600 euros (small free workshop, which used to have already patched the exhaust box beer etc. so actually trust person). do you mean my description and the diagnosis cylinder head gasket fits together? means your price 500-600 is ok? thinks you e so my parents and I hardly know each other with cars and would fear with a used car purchase that the car then very quickly has exactly the errors that we have fixed all the years at the r19 so exhaust, brake discs, clutch discs etc. besides, my father thinks it would be nonsense to buy an equally old used car where we don’t know what will be missing soon. think but repair of say times 600 euro is more than the rest of our car, on the other hand no money there to buy any new car. would like to hear comments and TAUSEND DANK!
