  • Megane – IR receiver drips with rainwater

With me it always drips from the IR receiver if the car has been standing longer in the rain. If you take off the panel with the IR receiver and the inner lamp above, you can see after a rain that there is everything wet and wet. The water then runs down on the inside of the A-pillars and drips over the pedals one on the foot. One can not see anywhere where the water comes from, only that it comes from the highest point of the roof under the IR-. Theoretically, it could come from the antenna, but it is too well screwed and not at the highest point. At least it doesn’t come from the sliding roof. Did someone have the problem already and know where it actually comes from? Is a Megane 1.6i Bj 04.1997

  • Hands Free Keycard – no longer works properly

Hello forum community, today I wanted to drive my wife’s Scenic (BJ 2011, equipment Bose) with the second key (which I used the last time about 2 months ago). But unfortunately the doors remained closed. An immediate battery change did not help (the 3V battery shows in the measuring device 3.2 V, is therefore full)… Our Scenic has the system, in which you can always leave the key in the handbag/hose. You do not need it to open/close the doors and also not to open the door. Starting the engine. I opened the car with the “first key”. Then put it out of reach of the car and started the engine with the second key (key before put in the shaft). The engine has started. Now my question: what could this be? Hopefully the key does not have to be coded (engine goes on). Or? Since June the car is unfortunately out of warranty… Thank you already in advance for your help.

  • Renault Megane 1.4 16V BJ 2000 engine started while driving

Hello, I’ve been smart in this forum for a long time as a visitor/guest, if my Megane had a few little problems. So thank you for the many suggestions Now I have a new problem with my old friend and I hope you can help me. So it’s a Renault Megane with a 1.4 16V engine (95 hp) from the year 2000 and a mileage of about 134,000 km. Recently during the ride the engine went without The starter had turned at the start attempts, but he turned very fast. One might think that he had no “load” on it. We then towed the car and the next day we looked at it again. With new start attempts the starter did not turn any more, you can only hear a loud “crack” as soon as you want to start the engine. So far I have unfortunately not quite found I have often read about problems with the electrical system, unfortunately there was nothing in the error memory (ODB2). I have to check the spark plugs and ignition coils, but at the moment I have the fear that the timing belt might have been torn. However, this one was renewed by us about 2 years ago and has not yet been on it for 30,000 km. Can this still be on the timing belt? How does it look with warranty (we have the one in a Have your workshop changed)? Or what could I even look for? Thank you very much!!!

  • Seats/Loading area/ Luggage compartment Grand Kangoo

Hello, We are looking for a new car (like so many) because Child 3 is on the way. To take with you some friends of the game or grandparents it should be a 7 seater. There we have come across the new Grand Kangoo, which already have a few in daily use here. After a long search I found a new car nearby and was fire and flame! Large and maximum changeable interior. Single seats, all movable, folding, wrap and removable. Yes, trunk, if all 7 seats enter ebaut is no longer luxuriant. But – so was my idea – then you just push the rear two seats forward and zack fits also the stroller + grandparents. Today I notice: No, this is not a recessed rail as with Ford or VW. In principle, two feet stand per seat and “only the seat can be moved. Whether you have enough floor space for a stroller despite these bollards. Hmm..?? That looks more luxuriant in the Caddy Maxi honestly speaking from the square behind row 3. Especially if you consider that the Grand Kangoo is actually even longer than Caddy Maxi and Multivan. 1) How much do you get in the practice test behind row 3? Does a stroller fit behind? And the next thing I notice at home, which I can’t try anymore: 2) How well can you create a flat loading area at the Grand Kangoo without expanding the seats? At VW all seats incl. passenger seat (corrects me like) a uf a height around, so that you can reach a nice long loading height e.g. for the transport of furniture. But the seats row 2+3 in the Grand Kangoo do not work at one height but offset heights or? So an uneven area for transport. Passenger seat does not work at all.. Execution with seat heating + isofix. We drove to the test drive to sign the car today and now I am really unsure if you are brewing from the modularity of the seat/charge area in the (fully overpriced) Sharan or Caddy Maxi didn’t have any more in everyday life 🙁 Besides, we are looking at the car just in time for the rich price increase of Renault by 2k Euro (what is the world costing). But what the great price advantage to VW also significantly reduced again. I hope this fits in here so.. overlaps a bit with the topic of purchase advice ?? Many greetings

  • Movano A/Trafic II: Hose? Leaning engine short-term power loss and rests Stark

Hello together Yesterday I bought a Opel Movano (Renault Master II, 2.5 CDTI 114 hp) – I am actually satisfied so far – if not a point that I noticed: My passenger behind me said he was short-lived after about 80 km driving back (or smoke, it was dark) short-term I had a strange noise in the car (heard how very strong wind sounds) and some power loss. Just looked and found a hose the leak is where every m tight oil? Diesel? Out has come (see spray wall) The problem had been had by the previous owner. Can the soot and the power loss come from it? To my knowledge, a diesel if the fuel is not completely burned, i.e. if too little air is mixed. And above all, what exactly is this hose and where do I get it from? Thank you very much.

  • Emergency run in 6th gear Master2 2009 2.5 107Kw

I have problems with my Renault Master II Built 2009 107Kw. At the operating temperature it always goes into the emergency run as soon as I want to switch to the 6th gear and accelerate. Error memory says fuel sensor. I then changed the rail pressure sensor and at the occasion also the totally rusty diesel lines from the diesel pump to the rail and the injection nozzles. But did not succeed with it, because the error comes again and again. The problem tr When I’m driving underboard in the 4th and sometimes also in the 5th gear. If I go off after the cold start and always make sure that he doesn’t run underboard, I can drive several hundred kilometers without problems, just stop in the 6th gear. As soon as the error occurs, he goes back to the emergency run at every opportunity if I don’t watch out. However, I already had real problems with overtaking a truck on the country road. There he is when accelerating next to the truck. I have to turn off the ignition and start again. If it only goes into the emergency run, it will only be enough for a short ignition and again, then the error will be gone. If I keep the engine on track and let the engine run over 2600 revolutions, it will be possible to pull it in every gear up to a good 4000 revolutions without any problems. and in the 5th gear also run at 135 km/h according to the speedometer. With a slight gradient also in the 6th gear, but before slight climbs he goes there immediately into the emergency run. I switch back to the 5th gear before it runs through the mountain. What can it still be besides the rail sensor?

  • Motor lamp returns defective as with Lambda probe – this time oil in the cable harness

Hello! Megane III 1.6 16V 81kW Built. 2009 In the middle of last year I had the message “Check exhaust system”, but no power loss. The contract workshop changed the Lambda probe at the back. Ok, was clearly outside the guarantee, the expensive fun I paid. Then was quiet again – until I had the same message a few days ago. The same workshop changed the Lambda probe at the back again, this time free of charge. Yesterday car picked up, today to work and back again. I was driving a couple of hundred meters before I was at home –> “Check the exhaust system.” So the box quickly returned to the workshop. They said that this message not only appears in the back of the broken Lambda probe, but my gut feeling says it’s the same again. My driving profile hasn’t changed in years, I still refuel the same fuel, I’m still in the same workshop for all repairs/maintenance. to destroy this sensor? (no I didn’t cheat on the electrics) I’m actually quite satisfied with the car, but that’s annoying now, it also has to pay for the replacement vehicle every time (at least quite cheap there), earlier off from work, in order to be safe still to the opening hours of the workshop there etc. notting

  • It will be a new Megane Grandtour Energy 110dCi, but only with Euro 6

Hello, I would like to order a Megane Grandtour Energy 1.5 dCi 110 BOSE and have to wait until delivery approx. 90 days. As the much sharper exhaust emission standard Euro 6 comes into force next year, should it already be present in my Megane. For me, the question now arises, how long do I have to wait with the order? Will Renault change the engines this year or actually not until January 2015? A possible change could come to the model year change. Just, When does this come? Who knows Renault’s usual dates for the conversion to the new model year at the Megane? Greetings Bertl

  • Scenic – battery is discharging – which cable is it?

Hello, have a Scenic 1,5cdi BJ2005, something sucks the battery empty when parked. I checked all fuses under the dashboard, found no consumer. The current flows through one of the red cables at the plus pole of the battery, with changing currents from 0.7 to 5A. The battery is empty in one night. I put it to my mechanic, who “has it not so” with electrics and has no idea where this cable goes and what it is. The cable disappears below r this thick air hose right at the front of the picture. please ask for info where this cable leads and which part of the power robbers could be! thank you and many greetings Tommy
