  • Timing belt ripped!

    Moin had just had the brakes done at the front and back last month with wheel brake cylinder, wheel bearing, exhaust from medium silencer etc. Now the good piece stands right around the corner at a Renault dealer. He meant for 25 € he screws up the cylinder head and looks at how big the damage is and whether it is worth it for me or financially feasible for me to repair it. He meant with nn bisl luck if only 2 valves or so are broken and he comes to me with the working hours nn bisl then I come to 600 € because I said it more than I can and I don’t want to. Do you think that it was still worth it???? the engine was dry before and the car looks very good inside as if outside, has just driven an older lady who was born 1938 before ;D

  • New Renault Clio GT

    With the facelift of the new Clio the new Clio GT comes. I have a few questions or comments about it. The engine of the GT is from the Twingo RS, but in the Clio it produces 5 hp more wine and also the max. torque is a little smaller. How can that be? Originally I wanted to buy just this Twingo RS, but the missing 6th gear and the resulting noise level I found now not so sparkling. Now comes above the 6th gear with the same engine and I am quite at 180 ;-). After long years of reason with 2 Polos with the smallest engine and nem Passat from 2001 with the smallest diesel I finally want a car, which offers only driving fun. The Clio is still a compromise with more space and even the 6th gear. I don’t have to chase every day a raceme with 180 over the highway. I also find it horny, with the car with 130 in the 6th gear over the track to cruise. But it’s great, if you can drive quickly. What do you think that there is more fun for the car?

  • Who tests E85, or lower, purpose exchange experience!

    Hello,to all Renault drivers! Have already asked in the Biospritforum,whether there are other Renault drivers who test in self-test / try,Ethanol in admixture,or even 85%. In the Biospritforum there are probably only those who drive Turbo,or other rockets,no small cars like the Clio A,Bsp.W. Test now with my old Clio,since last October Ethanol,in initially 30%! Today at 70% and my little one shows no signs of complaints,except that I had to change the fuel filter,he was completely DICHT ! Would I be happy if the one or other, purpose exchange of experience would report. Please do not refer to the Biospritforum, because there are only drivers with big, thick engines. Turbos,usw. I am particularly concerned about small Renault engines ! Experiences,his this now good, or evil. One can indeed in case of active interest, switch to the Bioforum mfg trixi1262

  • Renault Clio R.S. Stand close to buying this car. Ask for help

    HI I’m no longer sure whether this belongs in here or not, as I can’t find a sales thread in the forum. Well, I want to buy this car here and need help from experts like you. Coming Thursday I want to go there, bring money and take a car with me. So the plan. Now my question to you: “Is there anything wrong with the car that would be a death strike argument?” In price I’ll try to get down to 22. Everything else is with my eyes e Here are 2 links:http://www.pkw.de/…/98116319035617359?lf=11000<=18400&md=778&mt=20000&pc=2&pt=25000&sort=pp-asc http://suchen.mobile.de/.../197427783.html Thank you

  • Clio 2 Campus 11/2006 Rear brake blocked / Hand brake fixed

    Good day, come from the W212 faction and have a question for my son. The following problem: Two weeks ago my son wanted to park on the front door, put in the reverse turn – suddenly the car didn’t move from the spot anymore. At the back left is stuck. and the handbrake inexplicably stiff. neither forward nor backward. let to be towed to the free workshop, he said: “May be that the brakes are rusted and stuck. well; after 2 days he picked up the probably sa The same behaviour the day before yesterday, at the same position-“from the front to the rear-speed – brake is fixed. now the car is in front of the garage, handbrake is absolutely stiff, brakes are fixed. no clue what it can be. To the car: Renault Clio 2 Campus, 11/2006, 130tkm run, check booklet at Renault up to 103tkm. (after that at a free workshop because of cheap.) I hope for explainable answers, what can be broken, how mans repari it can etc mfG

  • Renault 5 Alpine 1.7 93 hp -> Turbo conversion

    Dear community, so first of all hello and I hope that I am right here. I will soon buy a Reanult 5 Alpine as a new project. My project consists of converting it to a turbo, I am unfortunately looking for answers to my questions in vain in Google so I thought I would register here. Theoretically the turbo would have space there without having to enlarge the space because the 1.7 Turbo looks not really different. Of course as long as I had the Origina len take. (corrects me if I’m wrong.) Is there anyone here who has held everything somewhere in case he has done a remodeling. mfg.

  • Problems with TÜV because of the tyre size ?

    Hello, we have here a Renault Clio 2, Ez. 2001 , 3004 , 111 with 1.4 l 16 V engine and 72 kw. The car failed at the TÜV due to the tire size. There are all-weather tyres with the dimensions 185/55 R 15 According to TÜV examiner they would not be allowed, which makes me wonder, on the one hand the “ORIGINAL RESEVERAD” has the same size, at the purchase were summer tyres on the ORIGINAL Renault rim (of course Uralt) and we had the tires raised at a tyre dealer 2022 The dealer had ordered and assembled the tyres himself. Unfortunately we only have a new letter, where no tyre size has been received and in the bill there are only 175/65R14 82T The examiner was still so nice and has attached to us a short list, where three different tyre sizes are listed, which is funny there without guarantee. Can anyone help there? Something like this has never happened to me, how can one behave now?

  • Clio 3 Sport – tough motor acceleration, rough circuit

    I have been driving my Clio 3 sport since 8/2010. Two things bother me massively: 1. Since the beginning of the winter I notice increasingly that the engine refuses to accept the gas. That happens only in the cold condition for the first 1-2 km. Although I can imagine that the engine control prevents “incautious” acceleration, however, sometimes this goes so far that even in the second gear the engine EXTREM looks tough. Sometimes the engine “bumps”, i.e. the acceleration builds up with kicks off. f… Or is this all normal? (By the way: Yes, I always drive the car warm, if I really want to accelerate strongly or drive at high speed! :-))) 2. The switching backdrop is ticking! At least it seems to me. As if there is something in the way… Can that also be normal? I feel both for a today’s vehicle as rather untypical, so not in the sense of the manufacturer. A visit to the dealer will probably be unavoidable, however, I would like to ask beforehand, whether someone likes to be the comparable experience made? Was there any remedy? Vllt. can one also draw a comparison to the Clio 3 GT; is it similar there? So long, -supersonic.
