Hello Since November I am the owner of a Clio 1.8 16V. When I wanted to test the car the day before yesterday (and by the way I wanted to overtake a dodger in the Punto) I was badly disappointed !!! At 160km/h the part made limp ! And that with slight gradient. Lucky the Punto driver had to turn later 😉 How fast your Clio’s run so and who can give me tips to make the thing faster again. Because normal is certainly not or ? Thanks in advance

Williams is stuttering on a highway ride…
Hi everyone, When I went home from work today, and so about 10 minutes on the highway (in case of rain), he suddenly starts to stutter while giving gas… I drove with constant gas to the next exit, where he died at the first traffic light… He jumped right back at the 2nd start attempt… I then drove 3 min in the city, when it got better again… When I was on the highway again 5 min, it started again.. just came down before he like I only had the Clio since SEP. 03 and when I bought it there was no air filter on it! (why always) …I then immediately installed the CDA Carbon BOX (original would have cost me also 150 € I guess now strongly, since I have the car, still NIE was on the road with heavy rain, that he simply sucks “water dust” with me, when I drive just in rain behind a car with about 130 km/h on the highway (was today so) … then he dies off -> water res clio starts again… On the pictures you can see the installation anyway (battery had to be in the case room). The original tube makes such an arc (water would then accumulate down in the arc)…I have seen…now I know also what the “bow” is for…but then you would have to have such “water problems” with open luffis at all often at all or? I ask you now for suggestions, based on the pictures, how or where I can mount the suction hose best (is the case t about 10cm long, measured by the air filter end, but still have about 60cm hose.)

Clio 2.0i 16V final speed/rotation
Amen, just wrote a thread and lost it thanks to cookie, so the whole again Jo, hello first, am new here in the forum and give me my comment My problem is the following: After a Clio 1.8i 16v and a Megane 2.0i 16v I bought a Clio 2.0i 16v , BJ 2001 , and must say, on the one hand, enthusiastic, on the other hand something seems in my view not to be quite right with the car. The little one is quite happy to shoot, especially from 5000 rpm on he has again e in the power surge, which feels very nice, but unfortunately all this only in the first three gears. Already in the fourth, this slows down somewhat, in the fifth, it is quite bad. As I said, I had already two 16V before, the old Clio I turned joyfully tacho up to 220 km/, the Megane regulated due to speed limiters in the 5th gear at 240 km/h, only the Clio now turns in the fifth from 5000 rpm only very hesitantly high and if it then, after longer start-up time, it reaches maximum 220 km/h Tacho, in my eyes, a little too little and a little too sluggish, on mountains, which the megane crawled up with 210, crawls now at 195-200 km/h…. Can’t be somehow. Is there something lazy or does the box, which stood a year and was now about 3000 km from me gently again, get used to driving fast again? I’m kind of a bit perplexed that the 16v always mute again, I know yes, but I had rotation and speed problems with it. Never before… Does anyone know advice ? Thank you very much S. P.S. and I hope this time he creates the thread

Clio RS -> Funny whistling
Hello together… so, now eats so far. I got my little one in Munich yesterday. It’s awesome! The equipment is perfect and the chassis is super hard. The little one drives like a go-kart. No comparison to my 1.6 16V. Well, now the odometer shows 550 km and I couldn’t resist to push into the gas once… So, “Pedal to Metal” and at 4500 rpm the post goes off so much that it’s a real pleasure! GEIL… The sound also fits… ONLY when I he I heard a funny whistle at about 5000 rpm. What is that or what could it be? Is that normal? Greeting Björn PS.: You can find a detailed experience report about the first 2 days on my website.

Leather care Clio RS
I thought I’d make myself smart before I really have a problem… Clio RS has beautiful leather seats, not smooth leather, but really nice, someone has experience with how to maintain/clean it best, because I don’t want it to look spooky at some point or other … Advertising for certain products is welcome Thanks Grüssle S.

Clio V6
Dear people. I’m trying out the new Clio V6 with a friend of mine today. I just wanted to cut this topic short, because I’m very interested in knowing if I’m wrong: this car is the ultimate racing rendition. I haven’t had such a fun in a car for a long time. Don’t you think that the sound and design alone are the first prize for this car? What do you think about it? P.S: Apart from the space offered by MFG

Where is the car letter ????
Now I have to let out my trouble! The lease agreement for my Clio expired on 6.10. That day I passed the car dealership and told the nice sales consultant that I wanted to take over this car and asked how it went. “We will send you an invoice. Please transfer the outstanding amount, then you will get the car letter!” I thought, only the invoice did not come up until today. I certainly already called 20 times there and received the answer “This lä lä “It doesn’t run above us, it’s over our headquarters in XY” Called at the headquarters: “It’s not running above us, it’s running through our branch where you were…” AAAAAAHHHH Today again called at the headquarters and asked what the state of things is. “I’m calling Renault-Leasing,” said the nice gentleman. Today at noon the call: “The letter and the bill have been sent to Renault-Leasing for a long time…” I think it’s still stupid or what? The left hand doesn’t know what the right one! Wouldn’t everything be sooo bad, but I need the damn car letter because I want / have to sell the car and I have to comfort some interested buyers over and over again. Have you already had such experiences? That can’t be. Greetings Björn

’01 Clio RS (“Sport 2.0”) – This and that, but important!!!
Dear community, I would like to buy the vehicle, but have some questions, unfortunately these are partly very specific…I hope you can still help me: 1) How much would a repainting of the entire vehicle cost? It should be used a simple black-metallic. 2) Can you buy the car with 40,000 km mileage without hesitation? 3) What are the most important and most common faults/damages (even with this mileage)? 4) Can you buy the tachobele illumination/the illumination of the needle (self-employed) change or change? 5) Chiptuning: Which product is “the best” insofar as it is recommended? 6) Which radios/speaker systems fit in the car? So, that’s it for now – thank you in advance, I’m happy about your help… Felix

Accident damage to the new car concealed
I recently found out at my Clio Bj 99 that the colour of the driver’s door differs from the colour of the rear side of the door when exposed to sunlight. I thought it was due to the angle of view or other factors and did not pay any attention to this. When a friend of mine checked my car because of a paint damage on the roof, he asked if the door was painted. I then had another paintr inspect this again and if you look closer, you can see that the side part I am the first owner of this car and Renault didn’t say anything about it. First of all, I was thinking that my Clio had a delay in delivery. It was then that Renault had problems with the exhaust gas standard or the catalyst etc for the 1.6 16V engine and therefore it took a little longer with the delivery. Probably all a bad excuse. The car certainly fell on the transport way from the truck. I wrote to Renault and I was very much on d has any of you already had such experiences? Greetings Björn

open air filter
Hello… wanted to ask if it could be dangerous for the engine if you installed an open air filter. There are some providers. For example of sk-tuning with TÜV registration, k&n, green etc… I don’t know about these things. They seem to let more air through than a normal LF… can’t it happen that even small dirt particles slip through this filter and thus cause damage to the engine? Because, what brings me a good sound u and possibly a little more power (as always promised) when the engine gets stuck at some point… Greetings Björn
