  • 2000 Clio – offer good?

I have seen a Renault Clio 1.9 dTi MTV (Edition): 80 hp diesel 63.100 km Year of construction: 2000 ABS airbag electric window lifter climate radio central locking CD radio servo (that can really not be mentioned as special equipment) I guess 8 times matured. 4are on the car *lol* and 4 were on the back bench groats ugly blue seat covers 7.390 Euro or 75 Euro leasing per monthNow to the questions: 1)How do you rate the price? 2)Where does a Clio have its weaknesses? 3) Will the 80 hp be enough for him? I like to drive on the highway across 160 and do not want to give up this pleasant cruising speed. 4) Can someone tell me the service intervals of a Clios? 5) What do the MTV Edition mean? There is even an MTV glue on the back, but the sound station won’t be in there. The radio looks just as ugly as the seats. 6) Are there seat covers to cover up the existing lightning blue ugliness to re-buy?

  • R4 Scrapyard or revive

Servus, got yesterday a R4 which failed at the Tüv check. I don’t know yet, since I receive the letter only next week. The R4 has in front still brake drum seems to me to be an older model. But it has only 57000 km down. The wekstatt has the following challenged wheel brake cylinder in the rear leaks, brake cheeks also have to be ern.. Inequal brake values on the front axle at foot and hand brake. r worn-out tires at the back and a little rusting on the threshold at the front right. And the switchbar has a little bit of a game. Now I don’t really know about the R4 and ask for advice and it’s worth it to repererate it, where I get rep.infos and spare parts except at my friendly. The dashboard is also cut off at one end and the seats sinbd pretty much sat down Am for every advice Grateful

  • Clio III vs VW Fox

I once had the pleasure of configuring a Fox: 1.2 (three-cylinder!!) with 55 hp, red, servo, side airbag, radio climate and electric window lifter. So nothing special but what belongs to a car today almost into the basic equipment. Hold on: over 12,500 euros want them for it!!! I almost lifted myself from the chair I then configured a new Clio III (1.2, four-cylinder!!!) 65 hp with comparable equipment (more better). The Clio is cheaper!!! so stupid and buys such an ugly “cheap” car with three cylinders at such a price????

  • Clio/Kangoo rear wheel blocked!

About half a year ago I had it at the Clio (Bj. 2001): When driving backwards from the carport the left rear wheel is blocked. Causes were rusted pads from the brake jaw, which had stuck in the drum. Today the same thing with my Kangoo (Bj. 2002), however, the wheel dissolved again, the cause is still unexplained. What kind of scrap does Renault install on the rear axle? Can someone report similar things?

  • On the first time since the last parking in 3rd gear switch noticeable clacking/clicking in the accelerator pedal

A hello to all I have also my little flicker since March. I still find that I have the greatest car, but I have a problem there. When I start my Clio and start driving, I almost always have a quiet but in the accelerator pedal noticeable clacking/clicking when I first switch into the third gear… Only once and then it only comes back when I have put it off. (showing usually does not work, since he behaves ^^) I have already described this once in the workshop And there they have exchanged some ungreased seals on the axles. But it still clacks anyway. Does anyone else have that? What can that be? I just don’t know how I can describe it to the workshop, because I can’t demonstrate it? I would be grateful for help LG Anne PS: Shut your side windows even if they are half open?

  • Clio 2 1.2 16V does not start

Hello, our Clio didn’t jump this morning. The battery has 12.5V voltage, so ok. The lights in the speedometer were a bit weak, starter didn’t work at all (no voltage). After a few times ignition on/off, the lights were again stronger at the light, but still no voltage there on the starter (so nothing is going on). Then I released the handbrake briefly in the gear, and then it started. What could that be? Is the starter just stuck or something like that?

  • Various questions about Clio 4

Hello dear Clio friends after I was very happy with my Clio 3, it is time for me to get something new. I was thinking about a Renault Clio TCe 120 Limited de Luxe EDC. I have looked at the price list and the features and have a few questions about it … Can the MediaNav Evolution be replaced with the above-mentioned equipment? Lt price list obviously not possible. I’m mainly concerned about the TomTom cards, which I bish It seems that NavTeq cards are pre-installed at MediaNav and I don’t know if I like them. So I’d rather be on no. The other question concerns the seat heating (driver’s seat). Unfortunately, this is not included in the package at a Limited de Luxe EDC and is obviously not offered. Is there a seat heating suitable for Renault Clio, which you can recommend to me? I think of something where the installation is not very expensive / expensive. Hoff e, I can help myself and would like to thank you very much for your suggestions in advance

  • Clio with EDC automatic always rolls back

Hello, my father-in-law bought a Clio petrol with automatic (EDC) last fall. He was already in the workshop for the 3rd time, because the car always rolls back when starting on slopes. Now I drove the car today test and had to find that the part is really not quite OK. If you go off the brake on a slight slope, then the car drives up slowly, then you type the brake briefly, then the drive is over (it is disconnected) And the car rolls back until you give gas again or just brake. I find that very worrying, that the car rolls back in position “D” in the ’empty run. Even if you drive on the mountain and walk off the brake and give gas, then you roll back something first. That’s still to be done, you have to use the hand brake just like with hand-operated control. The endless rolling back in the idle run although the engine runs and the lever stands on “D” I find difficult to worry about. The master confirmed to me that this is unfortunately the case, because the car does not have a converter transmission and is normal for the double clutch transmission. One has also dispensed with the start-up aid or otherwise a “HOLD” system with the model. Is it possible that someone can confirm this or does the car have a fault after all? This is annoying for drivers who have been driving automatics for a very long time and have not been informed about the disadvantages. A seller even meant the car ha t no real automatic. The less I understand, then, that you put something like that in a customer who has been driving Renault with automatic for years.

  • Indicator lamps

Hello together, at the Clio of my junior two warning lights shine, which is one for the handbrake – only what does the STOP light want to tell me exactly? (Handbrake is not dressed and the B. liquid tank is full.) The ABS control does not glow at all (even not 3 sec. after switching on the ignition). However, the previous owner changed the speedometer unit (my guess) … however, I am not sure … and possibly wrongly wired or possibly not compatible. I am currently not getting any further and so I don’t need to be seen at the TÜV either.
