  • ebay: Clio bought – What do you think?

After my parents sold their “buy car” (95 Twingo) for 1300,- €, they wanted a number bigger from the house Renault. Priorities: – cheap in consumption/maintenance (1,469 € for Super ) – ABS/double airbag – TÜV/AU new – well maintained I found this Clio at ebay:http://cgi.ebay.de/…47306QQIhZ001QQcategoryZ9801QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem researches have shown that it fully meets the requirements and according to www.autobudget.de for an average of 2290 € the What do you think? Good purchase? Did I miss something? A bit bothers me that the checkbook was not mentioned. What experiences did you have with the Clio year in the middle/end of the 90s? I would have liked to ask the questions before bidding, but did not want to create even more competitors… was already pretty hecktic. Mfg dc

  • Mistake or state of the art?

Evening. I come from the Corsa Forum, but I have a question about the Clio. My mother recently got a used Clio 1.2 from 1996, just under 110,000 km. But you can’t be excited about the quality. It didn’t last long, there was a wheel bearing in the ass at the back. Workshop said that this would be often so at the Clio. Then the immobilizer is constantly ticking around. The part has a relatively cumbersome radio remote control. If you don’t get in “normal”, i.e. door open, door shut, and motor And if the immobilizer doesn’t fail you the start, it’s something else. Then there’s nothing left, no starter – nothing. Then you have to push it to start. Workshop couldn’t find a mistake. And if it runs and you’re on the road, for example, the circuit is annoying. Squeaks and is extremely heavy. Are all these things “normal” or is it just a Monday car? The car was relatively short before the model change. You can argue about the interior design and the equipment. In my opinion it is not at the height of the time. For example, a radio remote control, but no power steering If the car continues to twitch around like this, it comes away and is replaced against a correspondingly old Corsa B.

  • Purchase advice Renault Clio from year 98 and max. 4000€

Buying advice Renault Clio B from year 98 for max. 4000€ Hello forum, I would like to buy a small car for my wife. I want to spend a maximum of 4000€ and the car should have as far as possible less than 80Tkm on the clock. But as with women, it should also have the “nutty factor”. And thus also a Clio (model B) is possible. Now you come into play. I would be happy if you would give me tips on buying a Clio. For example: – which engine is available, How long does such an engine last? – Would a diesel even expect (at 15Tkm year)? or would it be recommended? – what are the weaknesses of the Clio? – what does it look like with rust? – how reliable and durable is a Clio? Also in comparison with its competitors. – what do you say subjectively for processing. I am also grateful for any other opinion. At the moment I am also thinking about whether it might be a VWPolo, Opel Corsa B, Ford Fiesta, Peugeot 206, Mitsubishi Colt, Honda Civic or Mazda 323. What do you think? How would the small Renault beat itself compared to the others?

  • Automatic problems! Gang jumps out

Hello everyone! Maybe the community can help me here… Renault can’t… Have a Reanault mode automatic with automatic transmission. In cold condition the gear jumps out. From the 4th to the 3rd, within the first 2-3 km. If you turn off the engine and start again – as long as the engine is warm – you can continue without any problems. You can then drive almost all day. If the vehicle is standing again, however, the problem starts again. KM-Stand 28.000. Renault doesn’t know what it is because this problem has never happened before. The board computer always shows: Check Gear-Box. After the restart this display of the board computer is gone. Am I actually the only one with this problem? Can someone help me here? Thank you!!

  • Williams’ service life

Hello to each other, soon it is time, must for 9 months in the civil service. at this low income it is not possible for me to entertain my A3 and my williams. because the a3 is very economical and only 90 ps has I drive with this 9 months long. will exclude the williams for this period from my change mark. now my question, what do I have to consider if I can not move the willi for 9 months? (in principle the same as when wintering, but only hald vviieell) longer) – should I pick up the car? (how is that for my springs and dampers when the car has been on the springs since 96 (bj) and now suddenly have no load for 9 months) – do I have to do something at some point or can I leave it standing continuously in 9 months? – fluids? thank you in advance… … 9 months is a long time after all.

  • Performance measurement Clio RS

Hello together. I was on a performance test stand with my Clio RS (Bj 11/2005) this morning. Now to the procedure: He drives the car on the wheels, puts exhaust air hoses behind the exhaust, sits down and does the test. He says that he did the measurement in 5th gear at 200 km/h. In 5 gears say and write 95KW on the front axle, plus 22KW for transmission, coupling etc. So we come in the end to 117kw(159hps)! Nominal power according to the letter is however 132!!KW(17 9hp)..makes a difference of 15KW (20hp). Super, right? Now the questions to you: – Is the test not normally done in the 4th gear? – Shouldn’t a blower run in front of the engine compartment to feed fresh air to the engine and protect against overheating? Less oxygen means worse combustion, so less power? – Of course I also called Renault and asked what should happen now. Renault requires a second test.. Costs should I take over.. n..is that OK? What happens if I am more than 10% during the second measurement? Will the engine be replaced or what will happen? – How much tolerance does such a dynamometer have? The dynamometer was a Bosch LPS 002. For numerous answers I would be grateful! Greetings,

  • Ifd. Costs and Renault ?

Hello together , I intend to buy a new car and have among other things also the new Renault Clio in the sights. ! The car makes a passable impression on me and the price could (after negotiation ) fit well in my budget ! Now I try to get an overview which other factors could still speak for or against this car ! An acquaintance has told me that especially workshop and wear part costs with a Renault quite average who can tell me something about this from my own experience ! Alternatively, I think about a Hyundai Getz (which is overly fasting way not even cheaper!) and a Toyota Yaris (which seems rather not to fit in budget )

  • Clio BJ 2015/16 120 tCE, Automatic, Limited; relay clacks extremely loud with windscreen wipers

Hello, the following problem: I got my new Clio 4 (see above) a few days ago. Today it rained for the first time and I had the automatic on the windscreen wiper to use the rain sensor as well. I noticed during the ride an extremely annoying clacking from the steering wheel. Probably the relay. With automatic it clacks permanently at high and down the wiper; at interval and also rear windscreen wiper of course it clacks at the beginning and at the end of the process (al as soon as I turn the interval off and on). Now my first question: is this also clearly audible with your Clios (especially now Clio iv series 2015 would be interesting). Second question: either way, it bothers me madly, don’t know that of significantly older cars of different brands, even though I am aware that there is a relay working inevitably makes noises, but just not so loud! I spent a lot of money on this Clio, because everything is in it, and that I find it impossible that there is such a problem with a new car. Can I insist on a dealer and an exchange of the relay? Do you think that this can solve the problem at all? If no, alternatives? By the way, have a similar problem also with the climate automation; however, it clicks there “only” three times at the beginning and afterwards irregularly, so I could still live with it. Thank you in advance and desperate greetings! Marie
