Since I am certainly not the only one whose radio cover, i.e. the middle flap over the glove compartment bulges upwards, I wanted to ask if and how sufferers have solved the problem. My friend has removed it with his method -completely and glue in- unfortunately only smeared up. I glued back with Pattex, it is now better, but everything is far from satisfactory. At the edges it is still arched and without fumbling on the upper edge the Abd Now I could get to a used but not curved flap relatively cheaply. Does someone know how to change it and how to prevent the “new” flap from arching again? My friend once said that you could try to completely lower the surface, scrape the foam under it and put it all back on it… Someone’s idea? I love the car, but this cover still brings me to the grave…

3.0 Diesel Start Problem (“Lauwarmstart”)
Hello and say hello to God in the forum! After 6 years of Renault Abstinenz I bought myself an Espace with the 3.0 diesel engine (Bj. 2003, 180000 km). It’s really great but: Sometimes, I observe, mostly when the engine is “handwarm”, it doesn’t start at all or only after a lot of organs. Then the first km (so 10 to 15) are only very emotional to travel, if you give too much gas he pushes, as if he would get too little fuel. This settles after some time and everything is all the more A “emergency program” is not displayed in the display. Warm-speed it starts well and cold as well. Does anyone know where I could start looking? As a layman I would suspect a “hanging” cold starter, or a non-opening fuel shut-off valve. The “rubberball” at the front right in the motror room can be pumped to a resistance when the engine is standing, after the start attempt or while no resistance is felt. So far I have tried the following: Before 3 T once added an “injector cleaner” and added 2 clock motor oil. (It runs really quieter afterwards and the jerking was completely gone, the above mentioned start problems but only for a week). Would such a cleaner help again? Thank you for all the answers! Ernstl

Deficiencies in Espace JK
I bought an Espace JK 2,0 Turbo (leasing back runner) BJ 11/02 a year ago. The car was not quite 4 years old, had 52000 km on the beautiful digital display, a brand new engine (900 km) and new brakes. I thought nothing could happen. FALSE! The following defects occurred on 10000 km: 1. immobilizer defective……………………… Costs incl. towing approx. 800 € 2. display defective. ………. ……….costs approx. 750 € …..Renault reimburses 300 € to Kulanz 3. Keycard defective…………………………….cost 180 € ………….was determined 4. Card reader defective……….costs would be approx.200 €, will not be exchanged, since the box still starts 5. Tray joint on the front axle over ………cost approx.100 € 6. Oil pipe to turbo leaks……….cost approx.250 €, warranty rejected despite the 11 months ago built engines with only 10000 ……………………………………………km mileage, Renault offers 100 € refund on culant, who has similar problems with Renault, respectively Espace? How is Renault i.S. culant/guarantee performance? When the box is running it is really fun and is super comfortable, nevertheless I think about a sale. Greetings from the Allgäu Claus

Experience Renault Grand Espace Diesel
Hello dear motor-talker, I am thinking of buying a used Grand Espace (from the year 2007) with diesel engine (2.0 or 2.2 liters) as a replacement for my Ford Galaxy. In many (pan)statistics, the Espace is not very good. It is often said that this concerns above all the older models and the quality of newer models should be quite right. Could you tell me about your experience with the Espace? – How reliable is your Espace? – Where tra – What is the actual consumption of a used Grand Espace (from the year 2007) with diesel engine (2.0 or 2.2 liters)? I never trust the dealer’s details. – Would you buy an Espace again or are you burned children and would you leave your fingers off this car in the future? ……. Looking forward to your honest feedback. Gruss Spacepete

Questions about Espace (purchasing advice)
Hello you dear Renault experts, in advance, there is a search function and there are certainly many written about it, but I still want to ask the following question(s) and hope for an answer. I want to buy a “new” used car. I have to transport some saddles, that is, the rear seats must be out and I need space. I am on the highway a lot, so it should be a diesel and an automatic. After some consideration I am on the Espace od I really liked the Grand Espace with its really good equipment and its space. In addition, I want to be able to pull a horse hanger in an emergency and also there would be enough for me the 2t trailer load of the Renault. I think of a vehicle in a price range below 5000,- EUR, I know that is not much, but there is no more. Now my question. It is always to be read that one leaves the fingers of the 2,2l dci and the 3l dci s The cars in my price range ran on average around 200,000 km, which I could live with, because it certainly won’t be the last car. So what exactly is so bad about the engines? What happens with it? I read somewhere that someone said, “they only run 150,000 km then they go up…”. That can’t be the case with them then, they already ran more. So we assume in the best case that the timing belt was changed and the car was “halfway” reasonably maintained. What can happen to the engines then so bad? I hope and look forward to answers.

Hello first had the following problem, my Espace 4 2,2ci had the error code P1125 charging pressure magnetic valve quantity to large. After that changed the charging pressure sensor and the solenoid valve because it always went in emergency drive. After that it was now for a time good and jumped only twice on the highway after some time into the emergency drive program, in the city traffic not at all.Now he jumps open again into the emergency drive program but only on the train Bergauf under load, afterwards after new start It also consumes a huge amount of oil about 1liter 100-250km smokes like sow when giving gas gray and white.Don’t know any more. No connection to the car for ASU acceptance
Hello, I was on Monday with my car to the tuv. They could not connect to the car for ASU take-off and said that I should go to the workshop. Today I was at ATU and they could not connect their device either. Now I should drive to the Renault. Has someone an idea what it might be. With the error code reader you can connect to the car and read codes. It is BJ 2006 (OBD2) Thanks in advance

Purchase advice Espace as 2nd car
Good morning, At the moment I own a Fabia Combi and often fight with the place. We have a son (9 months) who is still sitting in the car seat and this (a reboarder) also needs his place. The trunk is also not exactly the biggest. If my wife is on the road with the little one it just goes out (car Teutonia) however more often on weekends to your parents and also take some with me. Now I am looking for a used Espace I don’t know what I want to spend on the second car, but that’s all I have at the moment. On the internet there are a lot of models at this price but I really don’t know which one to look at 🙁 3.0 , 2.2 , 1.9, 2.0 Would be happy if you could help me a little bit more. Thank you !!!

Renault Espace IV 2.2dci error AGR +LMM hardly any power from 3000 rpm
flygti IV ( JK ) Hello, I slowly also despair at my espace 2.2 dci ez 2003 160000km. In slow mountain ride about 70 -80 kmh in 5th gear under load also the injection… error message.Injection defective… read out in the free workshop was AGR and lmm as defective advertised both bought in the inet and let build and after 200 km the same crap. Lmm input signal too low p0100 and AGR also with function malfunctioni my p0400. I don’t know at all how to run in normal…I have zb when I drive a 2 km straight at 2/3 gas at the end 165 on the speedometer but I give full throttle the whole straight then I only come to 142. That’s strange. Furthermore, when I drive full throttle the engine tortures itself from 3000 – 4000 revolutions only so without noticeable power but the 110 kw at 4000 revolutions are given thereby that in the upper speed range almost zero power is switched d he automatic only after eternity high in the next gear…can someone help me ? Renault offered me an appointment in 14 days … that is in my opinion a little very long waiting time. I am grateful for every advice. What can be coked apart from the AGR in itself after the mileage? Please with location description where the respective part is to be found …
