In the current AUTO ZEITUNG (12/2004) there is a comparison test between the new Mégane RS and the top model of the A3 series, the 3.2 V6 Quattro with 250 hp. For a German magazine quite surprising result: with 3548 to 3492 points, the Mégane wins the comparison. Especially in the field of driving dynamics, the Audi is far down despite all-wheel drive!

Motor does not start ( Megane 1 1.4L 16V )
Hy people, got there a problem, from the colleague his Megane simply does not want to jump on. Petrol is available and pump runs also. tested by pulling the hose and on ignition, came out petrol. The Megane also had a water damage, stood very long. Battery compartment full of dirt and water. Lied even already inside the car. Everything cleaned and the holes freed, In addition also safety compartment new, was through gammelt and plug also. After that however, the car ran still about 2 W ochen. Now all of a sudden it doesn’t start any more. I’ve read a lot about the OT-Geber here. But it seems to be ok. Had removed and measured about 300 ohms. I also checked whether it reacted, so connected to the measuring device and always with magnets over it. At the pointer of the analog measuring device, one also saw how the needle always swung out. I measured it with DC to 0.5V position I have read that it should be set to AC but mine only starts at 10V AC to mes The pointer did not react when I tested with magnets. We had also looked at all spark plugs, all so well, But there seems to be no spark. Tested with thick cable in the spark plugs and other side just before mass. No spark came. I hope you can help me further.

Megane Diesel 5000-8000€
Hi guys, I’m looking for a diesel (mostly more than 110ps) I came to Renault because they are probably better than their reputation and due to the bad reputation are a lot cheaper. I don’t need a status symbol and pay very much attention to price/performance. It’s like I drive 8km (per direction) to work in the week. So 2x8km a day, 5 days a week. Besides, I often go shopping in the city etc. mostly under 5km. Short distance is very bad for the diesel. But I drive more on weekends. And would drive with a good car also a few times a year further away on vacation. (up to 1000km per direction or more) So I would come to 15,000 to 25,000km per year. With the diesel I like the torque and the lower consumption. It just doesn’t matter so much if you drive the times (if it is warm) faster. Currently I have a dying opel agila with 75ps and want to have around the 130ps. Do you think I can drive in my situation a Diesel driving or would I only torture him with this short distance? Turbo warm and cold driving would of course make me and during the short distances do not give excessive gas. What do you think of them? Restoration of my cc has begun.
Is there any interest in pictures and a documentary about it? Is not as common as gold etc. The car is from 2005 and almost saved from export. Buyed as scrap I want to re-furnish it and drive it as a summer and fun car. The car has automatic and almost 150000 km on it. The equipment is good and the condition smooth 6. rust there is no. I am used to the star significantly worse quality. I find the cc is a timeless beautiful car. I am not a mechanic or from the industry but I like to screw. I don’t like half things and therefore the car is dismantled, cleaned, all worn parts replaced. Engine oil is changed, spark plugs also, cooler cleaned. Planned, timing belt change in preparation together with Wapu and camshaft adjuster. Gear oil changes and the valves are replaced. All crossbars, shock absorbers and springs. The car is placed 35 mm lower. Usw etc if interest exists, I load up pictures here and make a I am convinced that the CC will become a classic like slk etc.

Cold start rattling noise Renault Megane II 1.6 16V Grandtour Automatic Jg. 2006
Hello people When the car has stood overnight (low garage) and I start it for the first time, I have this loudly clacking greaves, but that also stops immediately. But it’s not always like that. Sometimes he doesn’t do the “noise” either. From there I can turn it off and leave it again without any unpleasant noise. Even if I park it somewhere, it takes more than 8-10 hours (that’s exactly how I didn’t stop the time) until it’s like that again. But just: Not always. Sometimes ka If I leave the car for two days and it starts like an ONE. As you can see in the video, it doesn’t run restlessly, it doesn’t “wag” or “waggle”. Also, the sound doesn’t exist for so long. So I actually exclude that it doesn’t run on all cylinders. You don’t listen to it here, but when you sit inside I feel it comes more from the right side (seen in the direction of driving). Surrendering before the start comes from the throttle. But it works perfectly. So there’s no problem there. I uploaded a video from the engine start to Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJQPDkW9aCU Thank you for every tip Mitch

Grinding noises near timing belts drifted
Hello Community I own about 9 months a Renault Grand Scenic 3 bj 09/2014 With a 1.5 dci engine 110 hp. alternator would be renewed already. Because the freewheel broke. Be in the standing of the car. Some think of the hydromotor bearing be it. As I said only in the stood irregularly. Then I have 3 months always unbalanced sounds during the ride, always to hear well at 80 km/h. I drove it out the other day, then ran on parking and engine. And exactly there I e i can hear these sounds in the stand, where otherwise only during the ride were to be heard. Then unfortunately also comes the xenon headlights become darker when I switch into the next gear or only become brighter when the gear is in it like with the moped earlier. I was already in 2 Renault workshops, without result. It is a great family car that I would like to drive even longer. Who has an idea or experience with these causes??

Climate compressor magnet does not switch
Hello I have a renault scenic 2 Diesel 2007 1.9 cdi 135 ps 197000 km So my old climate compressor got stuck and thus the kailribenroemen torn / melted Have bought and built in a used climate compressor. I got out the climate fluid at atu, and after installation again. Unfortunately the compressor does not want to switch or stop the magnet. They had told me that it could be that the fuse is broken. I have all fuses next to the battery on The inside left next to the handlebars are also good. Climate capacitor is new, pressure switch is new. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be. And make me a solution proposal. Thanks ??

Megane Coupe GT Tce 180
Hello together, with me in short a car purchase is available and following vehicles are available after long considerations (price/look/performance/etc.): Renault Megane Coupe GT – 2.0 TCE 180 ps – GT optics – 18 inches Advantages: More beautiful look, engine a tick better disadvantages: Verbauch slightly higher, Renault was formerly qualitatively not the Hit Seat Leon Sport – 1.8 TSI 160 hp – 18 inches – Technology Package – Advantages: Consumption – Disadvantages: Unfortunately the look Take off the equipment and price sic h both not much. I also liked the workmanship/quality both (seat quite easily front) So I’m of course mainly about the Megane Coupe GT (opinions about engine/equipment, worth knowing, experiences etc.). Please do not make the respective other car bad from antisympathy but justify . Thanks for your help

Workshop “forget” engine block holder”
Hello everyone! In my current 120,000er inspection, my dealer sees that a screw is missing for fixing the engine block: Diagnosis: Thread no longer available! Repair of the thread: ~95,00 € Bloss, how can one find the person responsible? Renault Germany says that only the dealer is responsible for repairs. Does anyone know which of the following procedures could have been the removal of this screw?: – alternator (replaced in Florence) – ignition coil (replaced in Bruneck/South Tyrol) – search for electronic damage (in Bruneck/South Tyrol) – otherwise the usual maintenance intervals (after possibility at home in Mainz, who also discovered the nail, 1. at 30,000 in Poznań/Poland, 90,000 in Innsbruck/Austria) I guess on the Florentiner with the light machine in September (last major intervention before the inspection) If someone had a tip before I look past there….? Ciao!
