  • Purchase aid – Renault Mégane dCI Kombi (2.5 years, 100,000km)

Hello esteemed forum, I have an eye on a Renault Mégane 1.5 dCi Expression with 63kw, first registration 06/2007, according to dealer a former leasing vehicle from France. Good (standard) equipment, the care was unfortunately very neglected (interior very dirty, also some dirt in the engine room… there to see only very little oil) for all maintenance carried out… and in two years almost 110,000km. Short test drive was pleasant, very good acceleration The price is quite good, 6500 euros with new TÜV & AU and some smaller repairs, but gives me the high driving performance already to think (also with regard to the previous breakdown statistics of the Méganes of this series). Therefore my question to the forum: How does this offer sound to you? I am grateful for all the tips and hints … Thank you and greetings, Philipp

  • Bi-Xenon Grand Scenic 3

Hello, I’m new here in the forum, and hope one of you can help me vlt.. I have the intention to buy a Grand Scenic 3. I already did a test drive but unfortunately the Scenic only had normal halogen lamps. Since the dealer can not give me a Scenic with Xenon to the sample I want to get a picture if the surcharge for the Bi-Xenon is worth it. Now my question is whether someone can make a picture or video of the photo of the Bi-Xenon headlights. Like the picture in the appendix. Thanks for the picture already in advance. Greeting Connor

  • Starter does not respond, for this the fan works

During the start-up test, the radiator fan jumps on, the starter remains silent. Already new battery installed, camshaft sensor renewed. Search now the starter relay, but have no plan where the part is installed. In the fuse box in the engine compartment it is not.

  • New car offer attractive?

Hello, about my company I get from Renault – model-dependent different – special conditions. Condition is that the Fzg. at least 4 weeks is allowed on me. So I could offer a (quasi-)new car, which is run clearly less than 500km and is only one month registered. Now my question to you: How much should the price for which I offer the Fzg. be below the most favorable provider (e.g. www.apl24.de ), so that such an offer for you personally a With 2 examples: 1.) Megane Coupe Sport TCe 250 RRP with optional equipment: 30,080 EUR plus transfer 590 EUR => 30,670 EUR cheapest price (-16%): 25,267 EUR plus transfer 590 EUR => 25,857 EUR my price: 24,900 EUR incl. transfer (i.e. ca. 950 EUR under the cheapest internet price)2.) Grand Scenic RRP: 25,000 EUR plus transfer 590 EUR => 25,590 EUR cheapest price (-26%): 18,500 EUR plus transfer 590 EUR => 19,090 EUR my price: 18,400 EUR incl. transfer g (i.e. approx. 700 EUR under the cheapest internet price) As I said, our special conditions vary depending on the model, so the price advantage of the Scenic is not as great as with the RS. Would the offer still be attractive despite the “only” 700 EUR? You only have to wait 4 weeks longer than for a “real” new car, but I would personally like to save 700EUR… Would be grateful for your opinions – until then many greetings from the Renault newcomer

  • Who drives the Mégane CC?

Hello together, privately I am a convinced Mercedes driver. Professionally I work in the consulting service sector and my customers also include car dealerships of different brands. Of course these customers are also taken into account when it comes to the purchase of new company cars. On this way we took off a Renault car house some time ago a Mégane CC (old model). In addition to the prevailing larger cars, the Mégane represents a refreshing exception. I use It is the only switch and I sometimes like to insert the gears myself. In the course of this, I have recently wondered how this car really matters in society. I admit that I too critically consider the effect of this car. I have therefore wondered who chooses this car. – More male or female? – What age chooses the CC? – Families, Singles? – Which professional groups are represented? – Is the CC used as a first or second car? – For what reason did the decision just come to the CC? As I said, the CC is a service car and part of a small fleet of vehicles. I am working in the business consultancy and believe that the CC in this environment is more likely to pass as a “loser box” and should therefore be left exclusively to the secretarial office for the way to the post office. Maybe I am also wrong and the times would have I would be happy. How do you think about my questions? I’m curious! Greetings Palandt

  • Driving tips to the Grand Scenic, or: How do I get the thing back home?

Hello, I’m more of a guest in the Fiat department, but now I have to drive about 550 KM spontaneously on the weekend with a Grand Scenic 2nd generation preface lift. What I know is that the car is a gasoline engine, this key card and 6 gears. So now you come into play. The size of the car is ok, but I have considerable problems understanding the operation in the pictures. I also have to drive the car without someone who knows the car. I want to know the following: – The car has such a key card. What should be taken into account? If this is the keyless version: Is there a button that you have to press to lock the vehicle? If you turn off the engine also normally via the start button? – Is there an Aux-In input for these models? Where would this be hidden? – What do you do with the keys on the speedometer? In addition: Is this good to read? – I would need a cigarette lighter box to load the nav, where is it exactly? – h Do these vehicles have an alarm system? Is it susceptible? (I don’t want to go down to the car every second hour to calm it down. Have already had bad experiences) – What else to consider? I will hopefully find things like the light switch or something like that. So I thank you, for your help and hope that the questions are not too stupid. Greeting Bernd P.S.: The manual from the car itself is also not available, ergo I can’t read it there either. Unfortunately.

  • Scenic III which engine? and which radio?

    (1) I’m thinking of getting me a Scenic III. There are obviously many in this forum who drive a diesel or the TCe 130. No one speaks of the 1.6 16V 110. Why? Is that so bad? What criteria should be applied (if you don’t want to be a race driver) to the choice of the engine? (2) And I noticed something else: If I use the car configurator, there seem to be three radio versions: Radio 4x15W CD MP3 Radio 4x15W CD MP3 Bluetooth Radio CD MP3 3 3D Sound by Arkamys Bluetooth Plug&Music Is the second only like the first, only with BT? And what can the third great, if it is offered apparently only from Dynamique with 500 Euro extra charge to the “base radio”? (3) And another question: I still have almost brand new winter tyres of my current vehicle in the format 205/55 R 16. Could I continue to use the, with corresponding rim, at the Scenic (dumb question probably, but I really don’t know about it so much). Thank you for your tips and hints!

  • Speed persists when switching

Hello, actually I come from the VW warehouse and have absolutely no experience with Renault. I have never owned one myself, but my parents have now bought a Megane as part of the scrapping premium, because their old golf was scrapped. I borrowed the Megane the days and was quite horrified by the clutch. At first I noticed the crazy long pedal path. Besides, the clutch only packs at the very last moment. That means that you leave the clutch sp edal felt good 10 cm come and only the clutch reaches the last 2 cm. Then I noticed that the engine speed remains when pedaling the clutch for a short time (1-2 seconds), until it drops to idle speed. I have been driving cars for 25 years now, most of the time with manual gearbox. I have never experienced this before. If I want to switch, I have to go completely off the gas until two counts and then kick the clutch pedal. Otherwise, the clutch pedal is crying. even if I am in the first gear and let go of the accelerator at high speed, the megane rolls further, as if it had not been. In other vehicles, the motor brake would immediately become noticeable. Not with the megane of my parents. Here it is said when switching: wait down from the gas > two seconds > clutch step > switching > completely let the clutch come > give gas. I find this not only extremely unusual, but also un or is this some new technology from Renault that was not explained to us at the time of delivery? PS. The SuFu was no help for me. Greetings Tom

  • Renault Megane II: Buy or not?

Hello, I’m in training from 1.8.2009 and need a reliable car for this. Drive about 100KM a day, so of course the consumption is also very important, and the Megane shows itself quite well. Meaning is the Megane from year 2003 on. I don’t know which machine to take, but he should already have 100hp (lover about it). Now the question is, which engines of the Megane last long and whether the Megane is more susceptible to interference at all, or not? Diesel or gasoline? How expensive would inspections be? If you need a few experiences, it would be nice. Thank you in advance LG

  • No power and high consumption Megane III

Hello all, I drive the new Megane Coupe 1.6l / 110 hp for three weeks and now 2500 kilometers. Unfortunately I am disappointed by the driving performance with regard to the top speed and the enormously high fuel consumption. In the sixth gear it turns only 5200 revolutions and creates just so after a long start the 185km/h mark. So far away from the promised 195km/h. The consumption with normal driving city/country and highway is also at utopian 8.5 liters. Had before four J Take the Megane II with the same engine, but it ran and was 7-7.5 liters. Do you also have such experiences and what about an update of the engine software that I have always read. Is there this at dealers and has it a name/version number. Thanks for your answers Dirk
