Today when driving suddenly the engine went out, left large red display with the indicator heavy gear problem and a red stop. Then the vehicle could drive to the right. Nothing went on and in addition the message that there is a mountain approach problem. After two minutes it went again. I had the same problem two weeks ago already, where I wanted to drive to work in the morning. Then drove backwards from the parking lot two meters forward and then nothing went on. The workshop is baffled and when reading out no error was shown.

Clio 5 and the new capture better in quality look in the interior like VW
At a cross-brand car exhibition in Filderstadt today, I gained the impression by comparison that the Clio 5 and the new capture now surpass the earlier benchmark VW in the quality look in the interior (outside the premium manufacturers). In Golf 8 only the upper armature carrier is foamed softly, in the T-Roc and T-Cross only hard plastic is installed. That makes Renault better now!

Capture Media Nav Evolution – Questions
Hello, in a few weeks we will get our new capture with Media Nav Evolution II. I have read myself quite well. An important question remains unanswered for me. How does the navigator get the traffic information? And how does it show it then? I am currently using my iPhone and a cool navigation software. There the traffic information and replacement routes are offered. Here this works logically online via GSM. Since the Media Nav gets the maps always via USB as update I ask myself how the described denture information and evasive routes come into the system? About VHW/DAB?? Hmm, that’s an important question for me, otherwise I will use CarPlay and buy an add-on for the HandyNav… whereby I can not yet assess whether this is the better solution. Thanks for information!! Greeting…

Parking brake doesn’t work anymore
A beautiful good day I’ve had a question and I’ve been using the display (checking the parking brake) for 6 months now with the orange key sign Now I’ve had everything renewed from a workshop and the workshop couldn’t read it out ( nevertheless everything worked on the brake ) Now I’ve driven to the workshop ( Renault workshop ) and wanted to read it out You’ve tried it too and it didn’t work there too In contrast it’s worse Now nothing is going on and I don’t know what to do The say control unit broken Can that the workshop has done something wrong and destroyed the control unit for the parking brake ??? After all, everything went before the workshop was on What could it be all about now? Who has to pay for the costs? Ps: Ps: I’ve still checked the parking brake The red parking brake sign blinks permanently when driving and when the ignition is on lights up the red stop sign What can I do?

Refitting LED headlamps
I would like to retrofit LED headlights at my Kadjar 2019. I had already installed them, but unfortunately the control units are not driven down when the vehicle is parked. So in the morning the battery is empty. The Renault dealer, where I bought the car, told me that there is no idea about it. But one could put a technical request to Renault Germany and thus to the technology. Said done. Instead of after the specified 3 days the answer was 1 month waiting for itself. Namely, that also the technicians have no idea. Someone must have programmed the main control unit and know what to reprogram to get the things running. In the meantime, exactly my model already exists serially with LED headlights. Nevertheless, they don’t catch that. At VW it was easier to rebuild, computer to tell the control unit what was new and good. Maybe someone here knows with the programming on a Kadjar/Renault and can help me.

Renault Captur 0.9 Tce gasoline extremely high consumption.
Since 2016 it’s a 2nd car to buy a Renault Captur 0.9 Tce petrol. I and my wife are 55 and 54 years old and very moderate driver. The consumption of the Captur 8.0 l in the ECo overland without significant climbs. Highway at 135, over 10 liters consumption as well in the hill country. Km stand 52,000 km. We drive now with 2.8 bar tire pressure. Renault directly I don’t want to contact any more, so far only condescending answers. My question if the exhaust values are in Ordung, the tank has no leak…. where does the gasoline come in, don’t even dare to sell us the car because we are afraid that the buyer could complain later. For daily use we drive with a 10 year old Twintop of Opel. Petrol, which has a consumption of 6.5. 1985 to 1987 I had a Porsche 924, which has a similar high consumption. Besides, we are very dissatisfied with processing. ROSTIGE rims and brake drums as well as rusty AHK. ect. was already in the 2nd year. folding, pipe with heating. It can’s no consumption. We don’t mention the weather.

Renault Captur 1.5 dci Jumps badly
My wife drives a Captur 1.5 dci automatic, she drives a lot of short distance and the battery is relatively fast empty so that the car sometimes starts very difficult when you were on the road again for a long time. When the car starts the battery loads just with 11,9 V After about 10 minutes also times with 12,8 or 13 and sometimes this jumps between 12 and 13 V yesterday was for example that the battery was charged with partly 14,2 V and today again with 11,9 V. But when I pull off the battery sensor it charges constantly with 13,8 V. Can it possibly be due to a defective battery sensor?

Indirect RDKS error message
Hello, since about 1 week we have an error message at our Captur. Almost every time when getting into the vehicle, the error message “tire printing initialize” arrives after starting. Also sometimes after a short stop or leave the captur. The vehicle was placed in the garage one day before without an error message. On the next day, ignition on, vehicle then makes the system check, instead of the message “OK” only the said indicator. (Tire printing has not changed – I have checked again and again. It is always the same with cold tyres as set at the door) Was in the workshop. There the normal procedure as I have already done at home was repeated. Summer bikes are already on it for a while. So far without any problems. Since Tuesday the car is in the workshop. Now I was informed that a presentation car has the same problem. Urpludentially. To understand: In the indirect system, the wheel turns are compared during the ride via the ABS sensors. But if when getting in comes the message that I should confirm in the on-board menu, what can not be true to Tom, or something like the manufacturer.

Permanent error message “Check injection” without loss of performance!
Hello I have the following problem with my Renault Koleos. If I speed up my vehicle no more than 130 km/h and as soon as a climb comes he loses his power. The kickdown doesn’t work either. I had the vehicle already three times with Renault, but they don’t find the fault and told me to pull up the winter tires because it might be because it’s because of it. Who can give me tips or help with the removal of the error? [Transferred from engine talk from the topic ‘problem with a Renault Koleos’.]
