  • Experiences with Vivaro A /Trafic II / Primastar as a gasoline engine, especially transmission?

Specifically, the following vehicle would be in question for me (I don’t mention the Primastar, as it appears almost never on the used market).Vivaro A /Trafic II BENZIN 2,0 L (2001-2006: 2,0 16V, 2006-2011: 2,0 Ecotec) In general, I have read dozens of horror stories about the Vivaros/Trafics transmissions. n. Can anyone give specific information on this: Are all transmissions affected? Are there not affected transmissions e.g. those of the petrol engine, respectively year of construction dependent? About the mentioned motorization, respectively years of construction? Is there something to consider, e.g. that one leaves the fingers of the older or the newer ones? I have now corrected all displayed errors. Speak the air mass meter, the solenoid valve for turbocharger control and the charging pressure regulator replaced. Unfortunately I have several peeled through cables (including camshaft position encoders and fuel preheaters) and hoses (intaker) Now I have fixed all visible damage and no more errors are shown. And yet he doesn’t drive. This is as follows, after starting it he takes no gas at all until suddenly the engine sounds different. Then he takes gas but stutters and does not bring any power up to 2200 revolutions, then he drives quite normally. So, now I don’t know any more and with Renault is only shrugged with the shoulders. Unfortunately I don’t have a Di agnose device, can thus check nothing. Please help me, Robert

  • Trafic 3 – Particles in the OIL / Soot on the AGR cooler / Turbo whistle

    Hello together, I recently bought a Renault Trafic 3. When buying everything was in perfect order. Engine immediately started, good passage – maintenance always at Renault. After driving then 2 TKM, I first noticed exhaust noises (like leaky exhaust system), later exhaust odour in the interior when starting and turbopipes. I then performed an oil change, while I noticed soot in the area of the AGR cooler. In addition, I had particles in the oil collection tank -> I m oil filter only minimal particles. Information about the vehicle: – 1.6 DCI, 145PS, R9M452 – 140 TKM run – Year of manufacture 2016 – No oil consumption, no cooling water consumption – Good flow, normal consumption (7.4 L) Current abnormalities: – Particles in the OIL – Leakness in the range of the AGR cooler – Turbopipes –> By leakage AGR coolers? – Exhaust gas odour in the interior –> By leakage AGR coolers? – Light start problems at low temperatures –> By leakage AGR coolers? I then changed the exhaust pipe turbocharger to the AGR cooler, unfortunately without success. Next I will probably change the entire AGR system. However, I have the most abdominal pain with the particles in the OIL. I will soon perform another oil change and see if new particles have rubbed off. Did any of you have these problems? Thank you!     After about 130 000 from 70 KM of howling running noises occur from the Gertiebe.After detailed examination I found that the shaft seal from the transmission housing lies on the shaft.The transmission shows no leaks to see .no oil loss. I close on oil deficiency in the transmission. Perhaps already from the manufacturer. Otherwise the transmission switches and works perfectly. The question is the secondary bearing or the bearing passenger side maybe still ok? Is there experience In one week it goes to the workshop after Renault.that are abzocker. Sell spare parts with 200% surcharge. I insist first on inserting the shaft seal .oil change of the transmission. By the way, nothing of it is in the maintenance book. What kind of a transmission is installed PF 6 ? Would be grateful for hints.

  • ABS responds

    Hello, I have a problem with my 2016 Trafic. When I drive to a junction and brake off, the ABS speaks shortly before the stop. Especially often it happens when the front wheels are hit or it is wet outside. Does anyone know about you the problem?   • Door lock of driver door rotates round, opening and closing from outside is no longer possible. No ZV

    Since today, the lock in the driver’s door rotates around in my 2003 he Kangoo. I don’t have a ZV. door can still be opened and closed from the inside via the passenger’s side. I dismantled the door panel but can’t dismantle the door handle. Presumably I first have to remove the window guide links to get to the left screw from the door handle. Recognizable from the outside is a 10 wrench screw. And a totally rusty torx screw. I need a new locking cylinder or you can still fix it with single parts. I still have a door handle with locking cylinder from the rear wing door.
