Hello everybody, have a loud knocking noise since today when the engine is running. What can that be? It’s a 2.0 TDI with 140 hp. Car is built in 2012 and has 290.000km on it. Up to now the engine was never eye-catching. Add a video. Thank you in advance for the help.

Strange noise from the engine compartment
Hello together I’ve been having strange noises from the engine room for some time now. I can’t upload the video where you could hear it well. My question now, since my workshop man doesn’t know what it is, has someone ever heard it, or an idea what that could be? LG Peter

Seat Ali/SharanMemory Seats wrongly programmed by factory
Hello Together, after almost 10 years in the possession of a Seat Alhambra I noticed the following: Seat adjustment via position button (without ignition) can only be adjusted with button hold. So it was always (annoying me also 10J) Now I noticed that when the ignition is on, at a single pressure on the button Pos. 1 or 2 the seat immediately drives into the correct position. Unfortunately he does this during the ride too. Does it actually belong to something else (safety aspect)? Can the order be changed via VCDS? So touch function when boarding (without ignition do not make the ignition first) and touch stop function when ignition is on / driving. Or is it something else?

Is there so little about the Altea because it is so good o. so bad?
years ago I drove an alhambra and was already very impressed with the service and the great car. now I drive an old 1.8 tsi, which is taken over by my enthusiastic son. next week I pick up my second 1.8 tsi. despite bmw premium habitation I have become a real fan of the altea. I even leave my bigx for the altea because driving with the altei joy makes me feel. it just speaks to me everything that timeless, modern and award-winning de sign, the engine, the excellent driving performance, the quality of the processing, the material appearance and the absolutely fair price-performance ratio. the less I understand at the moment why there are so few contributions to the Altea. either it is so good (which is certified by the tüv report for all vintages) or so bad or there is so little nationwide. although I see many altis driving in my region. I would be interested in what you find so good or so bad at the a ltea and hope for a lively discussion. because I find this venture very successful, but it does not seem to be so good with the marketing.

VTG or charge pressure control valve
Hello! I have a Leon 1M with ASV engine If I give a full power in the 4th or 5th gear usually from 100kmh the power drops aprupt and it goes into the emergency run. But this problem is not always and it also does not matter whether the engine is warm or cold. It is also not chipped!! In the error memory I have always exceeded the entry “17965 charging pressure control rule limit” It is the charging pressure control valve and all vacuum hoses new. I have checked the VTG (moves to le but just after the change of the charging pressure valve it got a little better. So no more permanent power loss. Just a short while. Please help me further what else should I change? Willn’t the LMM be???

Major error memory problem readout
Hello. I have a big problem reading the error memory. It’s about a Seat Cordoba (6K/C) 1.6l built in 1997. I think that in this vehicle an OBD2 diagnostic connector is built up. I hope that’s right??? If I now connect the reader (Cartrend OBD2) it also starts to check the connectors. It comes up to the scan ISO 9141, then the message Link Error!!! I tried several times, but the same problem occurs over and over again. because someone will help you??? Quick summary of my questions: 1. Does the vehicle have an OBD2 connection or is it OBD1?? (this is how the connection looks like http://de.openobd.org/installation/seat_ibiza_6k_a.jpg ) 2. And what is the reason for checking the connection ISO 9141 repeatedly the message comesLink Error and the device cancels the scan??? Thank you already in advance for your help!!

Hello, am Vergebfelt and Geschock, my Alhambra stayed in Poland on 23.10.11, the Polish ADAC said it was a motor damage, car has to go back to Germany. This return transport lasted then also 2 1/2 weeks through the ADAC. But now my car is finally back and unfortunately, the first diaknosis has confirmed itself. SCHEI…. First statement from Seat, No taking over the costs, the car dealership will now contact Seat-Germany – maybe they are ready Dates for the car: First registration: 29.09.2008 Daily registration Purchased: 16.02.2009 KmStand: 30km 23.10.2011 : 68469Km In May 2011 the car has already received a new cylinder head seal. Costs were taken over by Seat.My car is a long-distance vehicle, always come to the inspection and now…….kaputt. Should you (woman) accept this and pay for the new engine (approx.5000.-€), or should you fight back?
