  • SEAT Alhambra 7N vs. VW Sharan 2 (from a used car perspective)

First of all I would like to apologize for the cross-posting on the above topic, but since I am interested in both sides/opinions, I would also like to ask this question in this forum section. My views on both brands are rather neutral…(well, almost. If the Sharan wasn’t so expensive, then…) Here too, many thanks for your opinions.

  • Euro 6d-temp only from production week 31. Any driving bans may be threatened.

Now it’s official. Seat, like VW, equips the gasoline engines on the very last pusher with OPF. Anyone who certainly does not want to be affected by driving bans should wait until then with the vehicle purchase. Diesel vehicles do not meet Euro 6d-temp even after this date. Therefore, it is generally advised not to become victims of driving bans soon.

  • Stupid snow – Buy Marbella as a winter car?

Good morning, as an entrance post I have an unusual idea. So, my girlfriend drives a 2008 Volvo C30 and I a 2007 BMW Z4. Since we are both working, we need both cars regularly. The Volvo drives itself great in the snow, the Z4 less, especially parking and parking is not easy because it quickly slips away. Besides, I’m quite pimply with my BMW and it doesn’t like driving it in this sour weather. It’s just too bad for me. We don’t, but I would have one that I could have for free, about 50km away. Now I’m thinking if I should buy us another car for the snow. It should just drive and be cheap, look…no matter, because if there is no snow, I drive anyway with the Z4. As a (poor) student I had a Marbella as the first car. Somehow I find the idea sweet to buy this a few weeks a year as a winter car to put the BMW in the garage. Is that useful or that the Oh so, please no tips like “Buy your all-wheel jeep for the winter”, because the third car must be cheap, the first two were expensive enough. More than 1000€ should not cost the third car, better so about 500€ and it should be cheap in maintenance. LG

  • Alhambra model year 2017 changes + hidden price increases

The basic prices remain unchanged, and the FR-Line even lowers them by 885 €. Unfortunately, the standard FR-Line also reduces the standard equipment. 18″ LMR, Climatronic and parking assistance costs there now 1995 € extra charge, makes a covert price increase of 1.110 €. Most additional charges remain unchanged, but for the following options you have to pay more: Price increase luggage room package from 250 € to 320 € Price increase sliding doors and tailgate electric from 1.030 € to 1.190 € Price increase Navigationspa ket from 675 € to 890 € Price increase Full-Link from 170 € to 190 € The model year change also includes Chrono and Style Plus. Especially the loss of the chrono hurts, because there was still 17″ LMR rims, parking aid, tinted discs, winter package and Kessy there (price advantage of at first 2,500 €, last 2,150 €). Instead, there are now three new equipment packages for style and (two for) FR-Line: Package “Emotion” for style with chrome package, 17″ LMR, tinted Sc heating + panoramic glass sliding roof with 900 € price advantage Package “Function” for Style + FR-Line with parking aid, winter package, Kessy, passenger mirror lowering, 230 V socket, main-beam assistant with 820 € price advantage Package Fascination for Style + FR-Line with navigation package, DAB+, Full Link, alarm system with 570 € price advantage A style with the packages Emotion and function costs 2.485 € more than the Crono and offers only panoramic glass sliding roof, passenger mirror lowering, 230 V In the new special model “20th Anniversary”, metallic paint, chrome package, parking aid and 7-seats are not standard equipment, contrary to initial expectations. A fully equipped style is even €175 cheaper than a comparable “20th Anniversary”.

  • A few questions about Seat Marbella

Moin moin love seat Freaks Since I am currently driving out pizza, I’m looking for a little quick for the city. I thought of a Seat Marbella 0.9L. What are the ”Typical” weak spots in the engines, and the carousel? Because Marbella is on ”Asphalt cutters” and I often have a hurry with the pizza, I think strongly that the box could eventually overturn. As standard there are ~135/80/13 installed or 145/70/13. What would the MAXIMALE !!! mature size and rims If I could drive ? 185 pellet or 195 pellet would of course already be sneezing. Would I be happy about a few infos. MfG Volvo 850 Driver.

  • Air conditioning – need advice

Seat Alhambra Signo 1.9 TDI EZ 01/2001 km 46000 Hello guys, I need some advice. I have been having problems with my Climatronic for several months. When the cooling capacity decreased, I had the system refilled. Then the cooling capacity was again top. After 8 weeks there was no cooling again from one to the next day. System was refilled again at ATU with contrast agent. After 4 weeks no cooling again. At ATU the system was illuminated but no leak detected t. It was assumed that the evaporator was leaking, but there was also too little pressure built up possibly also compressor defective, repair should be carried out at Seat. Then I brought the car to Seat in Aachen and explained everything. After 4 days the car was repaired, allegedly capacitor defective (700 Euro repair costs, no culant as EU vehicle). I could not detect a cooling power when picking up. The Meiter told me that one does not feel this right during the season. The temperature in the outlet channel, which is about 6.5 degrees when the system is working, was not checked. When I was back home, I measured in the garage and determined that the outlet temperature is over 20 degrees. I called the Seatmeister again and told in that. Now I have to bring the vehicle back to the garage on Tuesday. I suspect that now, on good luck, the next component will be replaced (at my expense). Hand have to insist on a free repair or you are helplessly delivered to these auxiliary mechanics. Since I have unfortunately only very limited financial resources, I am now quite depressed (costs up to now over 1000 euros – result equal to zero) Thank you for every answer. Ralf

  • Alhambra 2 2.0 TDI (2017) affected by the diesel scandal or not?

Hello Together, At the beginning of this year, we acquired an Alhambra 2.0 TDI (110KW/DSG) as a daily registration from October 2017. At that time, my personal knowledge of the diesel scandal was that this newer (EA288) engine with Euro-6 exhaust emission standard should not be affected… (Of course, the dealer did not object to that). But what does this look like according to more current knowledge? The more I try to research, the more confusing it becomes. Sometimes it says, the EA2 88 is not affected, sometimes nevertheless or in certain variants (e.g.T6) etc…. Now that driving bans are also mentioned for Euro-6 vehicles, I am of course worried that this will lead to an excessive loss of value and I would probably have to stick to the dealer or seat in order to claim damages (or a repair). Are there any good sources of information or semi-secured facts about this particular model known to someone? LG Lars

  • Mapcare: How does the update work?

Hi@all! I’m dealing with the question “order mapcare or not”. It’s not quite clear to me the procedure: According to the website, you should download the data, save the old data from the SD card on your PC, unpack the new cards into the root directory. After that, the Navi would recognize the new material. Where is one confronted with the query “Haste mapcare or not”? Is this info stored in the Navi? Or on the SD card? Then no other one works. Where is it going to be like this? eden, whether the new cards are legally purchased or just downloaded? There is nowhere in the download description of SEAT a note included. Would be nice if someone could explain this briefly. Please NO opinions about the necessity of mapcare! Thank you highmailer EDIT: The link to download the cards goes to a VW page; the material has according to folder name the status Q3/2013 (?) Could please check someone with currently received vehicle his card status and post here Thank you.

  • What’s on the marten menu at your seat?

Who has had problems with martens and what has been hijacked? At my “Bizze” 6L I’ve always had the traces of the Dr…sviech on the car, because our underground garage has a gate that is a bit open below :-/ With a neighbor (Opel) he chewed the ignition cables three times, once even on the same evening as the car got new. He had just shit on the car to me (so the martens, not my neighbor*g*) Every time I see the tracks I always have to get the air stop when I start the car and think now something is over. But not yet, toi toi toi. I always noticed that the tracks around my roof antenna always go in circles, and then I noticed. The sow has already gnawed away almost the whole top of the roof antenna. Seems to him to taste, ok better like something more important but I straighten my hamster “Ghandi” off on Marder and let him go soon at night 🙂 Greetings
