  • Weld Calibra bodywork or throw it away?

    Hi Have a 92 calibra as my little project… Now that I have it completely apart, I wanted to bring the body back to it. But I have my mind with the spot. May I weld that? I mean because of TÜV. Because an acquaintance told me that the TÜV does not let me through this when it is a frame part. Picture 1 shows where it is picture 2 is the spot what it looks like

  • Senor 3l (X30XE) in Calibra 2.0I

    HI Leudde! I want to ask if anyone knows if I can get the 3l machine out of the Senator or Monza in Calibra 2,0I. I plan a motor conversion and think about what to put in. the 2.5 V6 is still a little bit small to me. (if already). Purely of the size this would have to fit just what does it look like with the mounts? Do you have to re-route them? Or what kind of engine do you think I’ve got? I think the 3l with a KKK Turbo on it should probably practice everything. well… write me your opinion about thx mfg

  • Problem with retrofitting ZV with Calibra

    Servus, yesterday we wanted to install a universal FunkZV in nn Calibra with a friend. ZV is already inside it was only about the radio remote control. As most of the time with the universal no real connection or circuit diagram we are quite on the line. Now just a few questions: the radio receiver is connected to the ZV control part or? And can someone tell me how the control part is occupied, so which cable is for what? We have it with the Stromlaufplan von nem Reparaturbuch tries but it is not to be used. Thanks already!!!

  • Mystery around XE camwave expert help

    Hello, the following question…. How do I recognize a C20XE camshaft with 100% security? It’s about the following: We made my revised XE fit again and had a known a second couple of XE camshafts lying around. So, now we thought that we look which looks better and then we install them. Pusterity cake!!! Common confusion prevailed because the camshafts had quite different numbers, certain numbers in another place or even not at all. So we took my old cams again because it went well with it. When everything was already installed I went to a LET engine which hangs in the hall in a Kadett convertible and screwed off the oil cover….. On the intake camshaft of this engine I could recognize the following number: 2091358 The same number is also on my XE camshafts. However, this is not a GM number, so it is not the GM logo before but just the number for itself. he was not on the camshafts of the buddy alerdings!!! So, now of course the question arises if I drive with turbo cams walking…which would be totally negative. According to the previous owner of the LET engine you know nothing by an increase in performance by XE camshafts. Here I give you now now all numbers that I have found on my camshafts, that would be these: Outlet: 2091358 and I think then came G425 (with the G I am not sure) Inlet: 2091358 and how i I didn’t find a 0 except four times. What am I going to do for a walk???

    Hello guys, I drive Calli with Ecotec V6 engine, yesterday we sat together in a cozy round and I was put down by pretty much all other Opel drivers because I have a Ecotec engine. What’s so much worse about these engines??? I know they shouldn’t be so lively but good ok that can’t be all. I can’t hear expressions like “Ecodreck”. I’m driving 65 Tkm with my and except for smaller things I’m re I would like to hear your opinion about Ecotec engines or read them.     Moin Hab since last night once again small techn. Problems And I wanted to do something again fast last night. So, in the car open, jumped in, keys in, turned around and…? And? Klack. Let the battery charge nice (about 1 hour in the stand). And? No, this time no crack, but only on the last pusher. So I first clamped the bill and the warranty certificate of the battery under the arm and drove to the FOH. Jo, then the first came out with the battery tester and first read out errors. Result of the test: “battery good”. Hmm, ok, then he fetched the current tester and measured if there are power thieves somewhere. Gen.: 0.17 A resting current. So fine. Car in the workshop danger. The result: Although alternator supplies battery with voltage, but only with approx. 30-35 A. This is a normal value, but it does not charge any more when the threshing number is raised substantially. Then he told me that it may also be the starter. Bad ground connection or similar. Well, what do I do now? Tomorrow morning it will probably go clack again and nothing. Does anyone have any guess what it might be?
