  • E-problems with Calibra

    Hello first of all, have since last week a Calibra at home. Unfortunately he has a few electronic problems. 1. the passenger window lifter only works from time to time. But have also four switches, but have only two windows 🙂 2. the sliding roof does not work, engine runs however. 3. Lighting of the heating element is broken 4. The outside temperature indicator does not work, where is the sensor? And now a stupid question, but how do I set the clock at the on-board computer? a few questions, but it’s just a lot different than with my Audi.   • Good light for Calibra

    Hi @ all, I bought my car a new dipped light today: Osram Night Breaker. The criticism of the lamps was quite good, in direct comparison to the over 2 year old Phillips predecessors I do not see any serious differences or improvements on the day. Which bulbs do you have in Calibra with the standard headlights (no clear glass ) or which lamps really bring more light? Hope you have a few suggestions, thanxx, BG CS

  • Renew head gasket 2l 16V Turbo

    Had written that a buddy of mine had bought a 2 liter 16V turbo, with four wheel,… Now the head gasket is over, and the engine is also kmpl at the oiling, so we wanted to start completely resealing the engine. Furthermore, on the distribution gearbox allegedly there is no Simmering leak (seen the car itself from below, but assume that it is true……….. And a Opel dealer said that it was the biggest sch***, with the car d So I had already thought about whether it would be best if we were to build the whole engine out. Just take it down, put it on the rollerboard, and then start to disassemble it. Did anyone ever do that, do I need anything special tools for it? Should I take the motor sealing kit original, or does it also the one from the accessories??? I myself am a car mechatronics engineer – young – companion. So in January just passed my exam. a screw left goes off, that I could just remember so in 3.5 years of teaching time already thank you in advance for your answers! Greetings Christian

    Hello guys. I’m looking for a Calibra 16V Ecotec at the moment. I prefer Last Edition. Well this is of course quite heavy and with 136ps the car is certainly not a racer. I don’t have the car yet, but think now already about engine tuning after *ggg* 1. Can you play the software from the x20xer (Astra G OPC1 with 160ps)? Or do the parts from the xev not work out or is that not possible for other reasons? 2.   • ABS misguided?

    Yesterday had a strange experience with the ABS. With us in the road the snow cover was so stuck that it was mirrored. Since the road has a slight slope, everyone can think how hard it is to drive uphill. So I had already let go of the clutch without giving gas and the wheels turned off, the car rolled very lightly. But then he stopped shortly afterwards and the wheels turned on. Suddenly the ABS lamp went on. But only when the car completely stagnated d. Engine off–>again on and again tried and it worked again. If the car is standing, the wheels are turned under stationary gas, the ABS goes out. Can it be activated again only after the engine restarts. Has anyone noticed this before?

    Hey people!I was just on my way on ner b10 ( corner stuttgart) and was on the way home there is a s2000 behind me with my avoidance after 240ps! which is actually considerably more than with me!but when I was behind him with tempo 110 because in front of him was a slow car I wanted to test what he is bringing and was quite disappointed we both accelerated at 110 full (please don’t say that he didn’t really give gas that he was close to his exhaust h old even when switching squealed, and he turned on 3 times I could recognize) and up to 160 I could stay completely in the back first so I had to switch in 4 he is to me minimally a car length danger until about 210kmh it was then also the result!So I would have said if I had had the 6 gear in it he wouldn’t even have a car length away!So my question is! are the new engines all so bad or are the old motors all so good since you fas t hardly noticed a difference although about 50ps more are available!I really don’t understand but I just experienced it myself!I was very surprised!What do you think about it?

  • Calibra Turbo & TT Quattro 225ps

    My face … to the situation. In the summer I want to call Cali Turbo and a buddy of mine rave about a TT with 225hp! Factory specifications: Cali Turbo: 0-100 in 6,8sec TT 225hp: 0-100 in 6,4sec So much for the theory! But there are magazines that really test these things! And what do I see there? Cali Turbo: 7sec TT: 7.0sec according to RR 6,9sec according to SA On a hundred incredibly low differences! Cali on 200: 32.3sec TT on 200: 31,3sec Ok clearly the most important is the driving fun and not the 0-100 values or something like that, but I’m just totally amazed at what an old box like the Cali Turbo does. So one of the TT can’t drive away … there’s probably too little difference! Jawolll Jawollll so it should be 😉

    Hello Have since Saturday finally a Manta B GSI. The car is from the car in a top condition. 86 model. Only the engine is still not running properly. After I have changed the glow plugs (probably in German wrong but you know for sure what I mean ), and the air filter changed, the engine runs quieter in the stand. Only the engine does not turn up. In stand already, but as soon as you drive, it runs at a certain speed to stutter. Have the distributor What can this be about ??? Would be happy if someone can help me. I also wanted to know what I have to consider when converting from 2L 8V to 16V, and whether the electronics have to be completely changed with (electronics … HAHA) Which engine can I take at all ? Only original manta motors ? Is there the GSI engine in several versions ? Thanks in advance
