  • Noise at idle C20XE

    Hello, at the WE at my C20xe have changed the towing belt! Complete with rollers and wapu. Now after the first correct ride I noticed a very strong noise towards Wapu. The noise is only in idle speed and when the engine is warm to hear! As soon as I raise the speed by 100 revolutions the noise is no longer heard. Also when the engine is cold, the noise is not present. Did everything disassembled again and so on. But not found anything! umpe in suspicion, but can this be that only scrapes when it is warm? Oil pressure and performance are absolutely normal! Have no idea anymore!!! Greetings

  • Calibra 2.0l only over three cylinders

    Hello guys! I have a problem… I bought a Cali and didn’t really look at the engine:-( now the evil came to wake… The engine runs very unevenly and I have already changed everything that can only be changed….but it still runs unround…Then I thought I would pull the line when the engine runs off the cords…Did then pull off the first three and it was all as it should be,but then the last one and then it was the Mototrlie f unchanged, whether with the cord or without the…. Now my question to you what can that be???? Is the 1st cylinder up your ass or can it be anything else????? Please help me have never had such a thing…… Then I say thanks for your help… Mfg Markus

  • Spare parts prices

    Hello dear engine talk community! As a driver of a relatively rare car (Opel GT K/R) you are used to the fact that the prices of spare parts were often quite … imaginatively calculated. But what happened to me now is simply the hammer!! I want to change the transmission oil and therefore go to the friendly Opel dealer to get the necessary sealing rings for outlet and filling screw (can be nothing wild, are only small things). On the other hand, the price literally catapulted me out of the door: Adam Opel AG would like to search for an aluminium seal ring (see picture), which is available for about 6-10 cents outside, say and write 56 euros!! (If you don’t believe it, just do your own research: part number 89048245) I wrote a friendly letter to Adam Opel AG (see appendix). I was curious if a meaningful answer was actually written. or just a form letter comes… I’ll keep you up to date! I then got the necessary sealing rings via another GT driver who imported the parts directly from USA. (Before now some start “Then buy somewhere else!”, “Self to blame, what was driving so much prolcarry” and similar friendlinesss: I like the car, I’ve already got many, many parts from various FOHs, even if the prices often gnashing with the teeth, but that’s what I’m looking for. Has something like this happened to you before?

  • How much kilometers to buy Calibra ?!

  • Switch control unit

    Hello everybody, I have a little concern. I am just planning to build my record E c18nv on c20ne. I think that I have everything there. The goal is to replace the engine on a WE and also to drive it. My problem is, the c20ne comes from a 97 calibra with WFS (STG “GR” I have the key and the ring antenna but unfortunately no plan like that should connect. My question. I still have a STG with the alpha code “GC” this should probably be from a Kadett be and without WFS. Just this STG fits the motor/motor wire harness???? I am grateful for every tip. MfG

  • GT vs TT vs Spider on TV

    Hello,I saw a comparison test on the TV last time in the tv: GT against Spider against TT. I knew that the spider would be soldering. But I was totally disillusioned with the GT. He looks best of all, no question! When he appeared I thought WOW! finally a nice car from opel. But when they let the GT drive over such a hilly road one saw in front how the whole engine hood vibrated and beat against the stick.As a comment came then uach dire kt that the ople clapps everywhere 🙁 Then I had to find out that the GT doesn’t have an electric roof at all? that’s no longer up-to-date! Well, the Adi cut off much better, despite its 60 ps less almost equal driving performance and perfect quality. Too bad, actually. I’d rather have built a GT for about 40,000 euros, but for better quality. What do you think?

    Hi, a future Opel Coupe has been confirmed for a long time now. Has anyone any further information about it.
