  • Consumption 2.2 dti

Hello people! Since the end of April I drive an annual car (Vectra B Caravan, 2.2 dti EZ 05/02). Up to now I am quite impressed by the engine power. The oil consumption, of which I have read in various forums, did not occur until now (after approx. 2500 km). Only with the consumption, well… Up to now I have unfortunately hardly driven a “normal” tank filling. Either I have had Vmax-car rides (which I usually avoid) or “hurdy” road rides. For a while I had to pull something with a 1.5-ton hanger – etc. Long speech short meaning: since I got the car, I did not come under 7.5 ltr./100km. At the moment I am at 8 ltr. That seems to me almost a little high. With how much fuel do you drive your 2.2 dti? Tschau, Cyberherby

  • Suffering from Chiptuning

Moin, I’m always advised by everyone about chip tuning, but they all do. Are there any chips that even with small engines (C16NZ) bring anything, or is everything wrong??? Would there be e.g. the following:http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?… The ratings are not so cruel, what do you think?

  • Trouser pipe leaking

Hi, now I got caught too… my trouser tube (fortunately not the cracker… *froi*) is leaking… on the one hand, no problem, because I found someone near me who can weld the part – probably at the point where the two pipes are torn or lazy or whatever, at least leaking. On the other hand, the trouser tube is covered in almost complete length with sheet metal, which I have to disassemble for welding, i.e. bend folding and forwards. The problem now is that I probably can’t get the sheet metal fixed anymore, because it is point-pointed and the sheet metal probably burns away when re-welding to the trouser tube due to to toy sheet thickness. Now my question: The trouser tube runs exactly between oil tank and transmission. Can I leave this sheet metal cladding out without burning anything in the long term or is this – certainly not mounted out of fun sheet metal cladding – absolutely necessary..? Gruss und Danke schonmal coc ker

  • Problem with C20NE

Hi, a few days ago I bought the Astra F Cabrio with the 2.0i engine (8 valves, year 1993) and wondered about the behaviour during the acceleration: up to about 2500 it accelerates perfectly, so at the latest from about 3000 rpm does not do too much if one passes the accelerator pedal further, or with a clear delay. So from about 4000 it turns free up again, until far over 5000 where then is switched up at the latest. But the engine also does not stutter in the mentioned range, od otherwise it sounds kind of sick, it just feels like a rotating memento, as if just the expected performance is not available immediately, or comes with delay. It seems to me as if the injection there either does not provide enough fuel, or something like that. Is this part maybe down for the ASU, or do I need an update of the software (if there is one for the engine at all)? can anyone tell me something about it? And if there is a Möglic I don’t mean an advanced tuning, but really just a few tips that you can test just as often, like chip tuning, air filter or something like that (sorry, unfortunately, have little idea of the topic)

  • Differences between C18XE and C20XE ???

Hi Leutz I would be interested in ALL the differences between the C18XE (1,8 16V 125PS) and the C20XE (2l 16v 150PS) … e.g. in the C18Xe I also have forged pistons and nitrate(?) filled valves and something like that …… And would I also have 150PS if I had an engine drilled to 2litres ???? Gruss Dennis

  • No suit!

Hello for now!!! Well, I never had any problems with speeding up or even driving until a month ago. But then it started, at first for only a few seconds, but since last week already over several kilometers. And the engine suddenly takes on very bad gas, so that the speed drops rapidly and I first have to switch down and give full speed before it catches itself again. However, it sounds like it wants to speed up (there The fuel consumption increases enormously (because of full gas) and with the inserted clutch in a place roll in is also no more in, immediately slows down. As already said, the whole goes over a few kilometers and has disappeared after that. Now my question: Could this possibly be on the clutch disc or maybe on the exhaust system (lambda,…)? I can imagine less, then it would be true. Is a `91 cadet 1.4i…and I’m starting to hate “you” so slowly!! Is a `91 cadet 1.4i…and I’m starting to hate “you” so slowly!!

  • Lotus 4.1 for Omega

By chance, two very well-kept Lotus engines fell into my hands. They are 4.1 liters of engines, which were installed according to my previous research in the Cadillac Omega B, which is probably identical to the Opel Omega B. The engines still seem almost virgin and look as if they had never been used before. On the block stands Engine by Lotus, among them a fat 4.1. Does someone happen to have more information about these engines? Is it possible that someone can even tell me what such a Mototr value is? Questions about questions that you can certainly help me with. Thank you in advance.

  • X20XEV with Turbo

Hello, I wanted to ask you what you are saying about one who wants to have a turbo screw on his X20XEV without thinking about his motor. so it’s so he has about 120tkm down and the master just wants to have a turbo on it. I mean he’s a bissel deppert because without a special piston etc. that won’t work. now your opinion what do you think is worth it???P.S. I said when he pulls it through without other pistons he comes so about 500km far m it of the machine. mfg

  • Conversion Z18XE to Z18LET – Theory

Hello people, after I’ve been busy intensively with CLET and ZLET/LEH conversions in the Vectra B, next snap idea comes into my head: Z18LET. Kling funny.. it’s also. CLET engines can no longer be entered in mine, exhaust emission standard (EZ 03.2002) Z20LET engines have too high mileage and need as well as CLET complete overhaul, in addition the expensive Z20LEL/R/H engines are even more expensive and heavier to adapt in the Vectra B, even if you take STG and wire harness from the ZLET, sa I have no ESP/TC, of course no CAN, and I will certainly not retrofit it. My idea is simple: Taken the existing Z18XE forging piston (individually manufactured) with the reduced compaction made steel rod built in head renewed/refurbished Turbokit by DBilas screwed on it, with changed LLK (original is a joke by Bilas) and possibly loader F28 screwed on it (somehow it is made possible, RR should fit) On E8 5 adapted And everything (at least Turbokit) legally registered.. What do you say, snap idea or possible? Greetings
