  • Omega A – C36NE – Engine Oil leaks

Schöne Schei… I noticed today that the engine loses oil between the engine and the gearbox as well as at the front of the oil tank rubber seal. Probably the crankcase ventilation is watered. What do you mean? Greeting Reinhard

  • Omega B – X20XEV – AU: CO value too high

Crankcase ventilation does not change anything. When reading out in real time, a wild swinging control value of the Lambda probe occurred during idle, between 50 mV and 4300mV, and the control loop jumped back and forth between to and open. Is it worth checking there, or is that normal with the old Symtec with the X20XEV?

  • Omega B – More information about temperature display

Moin had written it earlier in another topic, But there it goes below ! Maybe it is of interest for some here . The temperatures are going up again , There must be another logic with the treasure ice ! meanwhile I doubt the temperature display in the instrument strongly . there are deviations of 10 degrees normal . also the display in the MSTG read out is not exactly the climax , especially if the cooling water temperature sensor is as old as the vehicle ! This sensor’s probe pin sets off a `defeat’ , which influences the evaluation of the temperature . partly the old 2 pole SEnsor for the MSTG only reacts after delay and that can be up to 25 seconds (finger sample ) . moreover these sensors become very sluggish and the display in the instrument, reacts even with delay , up to 20 seconds ( According to decade ) . the lot of water must be refilled by leaks , which also gets a lot of oxygen into the cooling water r and damt `Blüht` der Kühlwasserkreis auf ! I had once made a resistance decade to the sensor grip of the 1-pole sensor for the display in the instrument to see how `exactly` the treasure ice in the instrument is, terrifying ! actually this could every here time itself try , which has a decade ( about 6 Euro ) and a good access to this sensor . e.g.http://www.pollin.de/…/resistance decade_5_1_M_.html with the decade you can also test other things e.g. tank display . man k ann of course also with the upper thermoswitch on the cooler , (because of the better access ) its large fan a little hairdress ! for cooperation is asked ! mfg

  • Omega B – X30XE – Is the installation of an additional oil cooler from Cadillac Catera useful..?

At the current increasing local temperatures and the already existing heat problem due to restricted space conditions in the engine compartment of the stronger Omega B models, I wonder if it makes sense to use the oil coolers installed in the warmer areas of the USA in the Cadillac Catera also in this country. I think it won’t hurt. What do you think about it? Dietmar

  • Engine temperature equal to speed

Hello, since I don’t know much more, or I’m not one of the experts, I ask here again what it could be. The temperature of my c20ne goes very fast up or down very quickly. The temperature is strongly oriented to speed or the motor load. Drive 2km a mountain it goes up to 110°C, then I drive down the mountain again it goes below 90°C. If it is outside 5°C warmer it makes itself immediately noticeable to the temperature indicator, also lasts It is incredibly long in winter until the engine gets warm according to the temperature indicator. Conversely, it is now very fast in summer. What could be? Cooler dirty I logically exclude. Thermostat? Temperature sensor? What else? Does anyone have a tip? I would be happy.

  • Omega B – X25XE – Loose hose found in the engine compartment?

Servus guys, I’ve got a question and I found a lot of hose hanging around the back today, but I can’t sort it out or what kind of function it has, you can help to assign it. In addition, I have to change my ignition cables which diameter do I have to take? Thanks for the answers.

  • Automatic gearbox error

Hi, after a long time I also register again. I was already in the search function, but did not find anything. My Omega B Caravan 2.0 16V automatic, built in 10.1994,150000 KM shows in the MID automatic transmission. It always remains in the 4th course on position “D”. Manually I can switch all gears. Transmission always ran reliably error was read out with OBD adapter. It is displayed “14 control solenoid valve pressure regulator interruption”. If it were possible it also with the selector lever position sha I’m very grateful for tips. Greeting Punkman

  • Omega B – Change drive shaft seal & bellows

Hello, if I see this correctly, the sealing ring in the Diff case is leaking. Right? I found only one in the parts catalog that belongs there. Does this fit? 90222045 Repair is not the problem. How do you get the shaft out of the Diff without an accident? The recommended tool for KM-617 is not available. Unfortunately, there is also a hole in the gear-side cuff. I have read a lot here. Whenever someone tries to change the cuffs, Kurt recommends the following: the whole wave to change. Would I do, but the ones that are there are just as gummy or worse than mine. And cost 3x as much as two cuffs and have significantly more kilometers down. Is the joint pressed off SO hard? The gear side cuff can’t be changed separately, right? (except with such a glue cuff of course.) Can I get out beforehand whether I have Saginaw or Loebro? From SXXXXXX it seems to be Loebro, doesn’t it? You’ve got some leads!

  • Omega B – Which type to take with which engine?

Hello, and I would like to buy an Omega B as a fun car. Now to my question. Which petrol engine can you recommend to me? Would you like a motor that goes well ahead, but first of all it should be robust. That you can also often accelerate and it does not immediately make the hooves high. If it is quite slow from a series, but you can achieve a very good result with various parts, I would be ready for it. already dabke in the Viraus
