Hi I looked at an omega b 2,5 v6 today, a top car at a great price!!! first impression was just GEIL!! Then test drive first I liked of driving behavior. but then when I stayed on gas for longer time, the car started to die! after I turned off the engine it didn’t go on any more. then the jumped on, but had misigned and died in the low turning range!! kan for me than the only 4-5 cylinder has run! Only out of pure r neugire what could that have been? So I can exclude ignition cables and spark plugs!

Conversion to manual transmission
Hallölö Since my automatic transmission seems to be going over Jordan soon, I’m thinking of converting to switches (because automatic pig-priced).My question : can I simply flange the manual transmission or do I need any intermediate thing for this, as was the case with BMW? Does the automatic transmission hang together with the motor control unit or does the automatic have its own control unit ? My project: Buy accident or engine damage (because of pedal engine is an X20XEV, 2.0 16 V Only precaution for the very clever: I used the search function, but unfortunately did not find a suitable entry ! Thanks and greeting Piglitt

Problem with 2.5 td
Hello ! I have with my Omega Bj ’99 2,5 td unfortunately another problem. A so-called “sometimes” error ! “Sometimes” the error is there and “sometimes” not. “Sometimes” the car does not take any gas, i.e. it starts to jerk. I then give full gas but no improvement. After a short while the error is then gone again. Even if I give quite slowly gas, the error “sometimes”. Otherwise the car drives flawlessly ! It also has its full power, a n normal diesel consumption and only rusts on average. And that at almost 200,000 km on the speedometer! I was there again of course also with two capable Opel dealers and a BMW dealer. Of course the error did not occur there (the typical demonstration effect). The error code was read out, but no one was saved. Then they said that the diesel filter is closed. I changed it then, but no improvement. Before I put the car into the workshop and then true I’d rather ask here because I have much more trust here than with our capable Opel mechanics. Here are just more experiences and fellow sufferers. Can someone help me or give me advice? Many greetings

Which fuel and what consumption
Hello municipality, I have an Omega B 2.2l year 2001. In the tank cover there is unleaded petrol. Would have thought that you would have to refuel super?!?! I also find the consumption quite high… Never come under 10l and in the Stadr so 12-14l… That can’t be normal, can it?

Xenon at Omega B
Hello, just play with the thought of buying me a used Omega B Bj2000 2.2 because of lack of pallets. Of course I would prefer a 2.5 V6 abe which is hardly possible.. sniff How are your experiences with the car? But what I noticed…… had an Omega B and a Vectra B this morning, both with Xenon behind me.. the Vectra had an extremely better Xenon light. Well, the Xenon of the Omega is just a PSEUDO Xenon or were just the burners s Chon too old? Thank you for your help and sorry I should ask questions that have already appeared here several times.

Windscreen
Hello Since mine is still relatively new I have to ice scratch this year for the first time. I used a hard plastic scratcher with the success that my complete WSS has scratched. If I drive now in the evening or against her sun it looks like I have a spider net on it. I went with it to the friendly, who saw himself the na shook the head and meant to look terrible but on guarantee there will be nothing because today’s composite glass panes stop generic I thought I was crazy because you bought a 37000 € car and after 3x scratching a broken WSS and opel means – your problem has from you ever a model like me and knows someone this problem. I had the previous one and he was at the sale 8 years old but he didn’t have nearly such phenomena for any help thank you because I won’t have to secure it on me and exchange the disk at my expense especially not since I don’t know whether the new dan also has the same weak spots

Help, I’m not coming in!
Hello people! I have a big problem: my Omega is already standing in the garage for a few weeks. At that time I finished it really well, i.e. I also took the 2nd button on the remote control. Now I wanted to open it by FB (both tried out) and oh wonder: it’s not possible! Unlocking is not possible, because of the fuse pin. How can I open the car now? Oh yes and the thing gets even more difficult: the garage is just 3m wide and 5m long. That means that But I think I’m kind of going to get it first. Please, please help me *heul* Thank you in advance Schnubbi

ABS/TC spins
Hello everyone, have had this problem for about 1 month. When I start the car the control lights go off as soon as I go off a bit the two lamps go on again (then the ABS is activated). Not always. Today it was more extreme because it was a bit smooth. I wanted to test the system and went on a side road sometimes full into the blocks. It buzzed briefly and then stopped. Is it perhaps at the relay? Or is there somewhere a mass shortage? The sensors? I feel with the sensors. n defective system insecure with such a giant. Edit: Maybe this is due to a bad battery, which was just a short time ago rather empty because hardly any water was in it. Since then it also starts worse. MfG Bauknecht

Shelf life Omega 2,5l
Hello to each other! For the first time I would like to welcome everyone, since I just registered here! I drive an Opel Omega B (built in 1996) with 2.5 liters V6 (limousine) and automatic transmission and air conditioning. Now the good piece is already about 10 years old, I bought it in 1999 and have driven it since only about 13 tkm, in total he has now almost 70 tkm on the speedometer. He is completely staple-kept and despite the few km each year an inspection in the specialized workshop with Oil change, I have been using Mobil1 0W40 for several years. How long do you think I can drive the car until the first big repairs (e.g. gearbox or engine) occur? How is it with rust, is the corrosion protection with the car ok? At the moment I think about whether I should sell it soon, on the one hand the acceleration is not enough for me and I always wanted to drive a V8, on the other hand I already have a lot of money in the What do you mean, how much would a car dealer still pay me for my Omega in case of buying another used car? Is it really bad for the car, if I only drive distances of about 5.5 km in the city at a distance, does it get warm enough? At least the temperature indicator goes quite quickly into the warm area, often even when parking the fans are already on. Best regards! T74

Was in Germany for the first time
Hy!! So I was in Germany for the first time (in 2 museums and on the Reeperbahn) but you Germans have a driving style, man man … At first I didn’t care about your speed, but then let me ride along, when the Porsche hit by with at least 280, I thought I was standing!!! (with my 190) But I have to say, I put back about 2200km and must praise my Omega. He didn’t make any bitches and was very good… However, he swallowed half a liter of engine oil and c a. 240 liters diesel, speed 220 according to the speedometer he also managed with almost 300,000km on the speedometer! SUPER WAR ́s!!!
