  • z22xe does not sporadically start…

Moin moin, it’s time. The “new” Omega finally wants to be discussed in the forum. For a few weeks I have had the problem that he doesn’t want to start from time to time. It doesn’t matter whether he’s warm or cold, whether the weather is wet, dry, warm or cold. Sometimes he runs for two weeks without any problems, then he doesn’t want to do it at all. Usually this is the way it is: turn the keys around, engine runs about 2 seconds (turny) and then goes out. wait, the next attempt runs identically. I try it without waiting, he orgs and nothing happens. Sometimes after a few hours he jumps completely normal again, but sometimes also not… Last time a half-hour disconnection of the battery helped, yesterday not. Yesterday I just turned the key over, got the impulse back, let go of the key again, and torpedoed until it jumped (about 1 minute). It hurt my soul, the starter. The only thing that’s always the same: he doesn’t make a mistake… I’ve read the control unit repeatedly, but without any result. Also the replacement of the ignition strip, as well as the cleaning of all mass contacts in the engine area did not bring any improvement. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you in advance Kai

  • Brake system Omega B !

Hi, since I could not find anything clear in the FAQ or via Google, I ask the question about the distribution of the braking force times here. Is the braking force 60/40 or 70/30 or quite different? And is this distribution equal in each vehicle, or cooks there each its own suppleness. In advance, I thank you.

  • Reversometer goes crazy and doesn’t start any more

Hallows together, I just got stuck with my omi…Simply the thing went out 🙁 What I noticed is that after I tried to start the particle again….the tachometer went completely crazy…starting didn’t go any more. Sometimes the hood was fixed and looked inside…One of the two purple-coloured relays (I think the petrol pump relay) was very clinking. So sometimes the ADAC called. It was a little tucked around and the relays also pulled. The good man from the ADAC came up with the idea to hit a little bit of fuel….should have been enough, but good… 10 liters for 14 euros, goes still 🙂 But again nothing… he was still a little busy with the electronics and then after we tried to push the car with the inserted gear and after another relay exchange and the new start attempt the engine hit very loudly….before the ADA… C was there, but he still turned quite joyfully… Also the reading of the error codes did not work….there is something wrong…. Do you have an idea?

  • Starting problems Senator B C 3.0 NE Bj 1988, automatic

Hello, read here already for a time, but I have found nothing yet that could solve my problem. The following symtomatics. From about one week of service life: Keys hardly turned – runs like from the shop after turning off up to about 30 minutes: normal, if it becomes about 30 minutes, already a bit heavier jumping from half an hour to about one week: long organ, until it starts with an unround run, then finds itself after a short time and runs quite normal. rare: in the problem phase of 30 min. until a week — start without problems I’ve already taken the problem with my father-in-law for a while. Actually, he has always jumped at some point, but just annoying. Swap for new: ignition cable distributor cap incl. Runner temperature sensor to the control unit on the thermostat housing spark plugs Since I don’t have much on my hat with electrics, I don’t get any further without help. and on, although rarely, behaves quite normally when starting during the problem time. Compression I exclude, because he can hardly wait after a week of service life the key turning. I will still do this circuit with the starter, terminal 50. I will also install a new ignition starter switch. But I think that there is no problem. Maybe someone from the forum can help me. Look forward to any help. Greeting Robert

  • Crossbar – mechanic kicks me against the tires and judges defective

Greetings, I had the free early-year check at the FOH yesterday. Fortunately everything was found OK here, except for the crossbars. I don’t trust the roasting. My omi was standing on the ground, not on stage, with beaten wheels to the left. The mechanic then stepped on the tread of the driver’s side tire with 3-4 proper “riders”. The “swinging” the wheel at these kicks was too strong and would clearly point to locked crossbars. In “our” FAQ, however, I read that defective crossbars express themselves like this: “First signs are a unique, metallic knocking on the short and strong tap of the brake.” Taking into account that my crossbars are still the originals, this naturally gave me thought. Nevertheless, I do not have a “knocking” during braking and also notice nothing unusual when driving in the area of my front axle. e of course, if this type of inspection is common and the swinging is a wear. Is there a house number in relation to kilometers or age, when you absolutely have to change it? I already have almost 249,000 down. They are not rusted.

  • Manta always goes out

  • Strange bug-window lifter Omega A

Hello, the story started when the right window didn’t go down anymore. Driving up still worked and it still did. A colleague came by and took both switches out to bridge them with a piece of cable so we could be sure it was on the switch. Had both doors open and there was no key, because with open doors the fh also works. Somehow he pulled every cable with everyone and the switches went out suddenly (otherwise lights up). And that’s when the problem started! Since then the whole thing has turned around you can say. That is, the switches go off when the doors are opened and fh don’t work. And when you close the doors, the switches go on again, so then the orange point lights up. The fh then works. So not normal, normal would be otherwise around!?!? am confused… And the stupid thing is that you stay on permanently after the conclusion and that’s yes also not right. eats also battery… I don’t know what happened at the bridge… fuses are in order. Also battery disconnecting did not help! Thank you

  • Opel Senator B + Airbag(s)?!

Hello, I would like to add a Opel Senator B 3.0 24V of the last year of construction with a maximum of 150,000 km with absolute full equipment. Color should be at best wine red/red brown or gold (for this I can also re-paint this, because probably any varnish or rust spots must be repaired!). Otherwise the car should be in a very good condition, ie no perforated leather or worn off buttons! Anyway, everything should be original. Just such a car is very hard to find, someone has tips where I can still look for, or even sell one myself. Shouldn’t be too expensive, since the car is for my son. (Is now his dream car!) Now to the next problem: Unfortunately, there were never airbags for this Opel model :/ Is there currently any way to equip the car with airbags? Of course, the best would be 6 airbags (driver/passenger head and side airbag, as well as in the rear side airbags)! mfg

  • Climate compressor noises bitte to help !?

Hello you love, have again a Probl. with my Omega 2,5 V6 !! I noticed last week already that something started to clap and squeak, was at the beginning only very quiet, but since today it has become very loud, if my ears do not deceive me then the sounds of the climate compressor should come. Meanwhile it is so when the Kima is out that it is a timidly loud grinding noise to hear, when I then turn it on so the grinding goes into a clapping. Can this be the slip-carp ???? If yes, can one exchange these or otherwise repair any way ??? Can I exchange the compressor myself if all the others try to fail ? Hope it can give me some advice again a clever fox. Thanks already. Greetings Thomas
