This morning at 5:30…
So me and my Omi(2.5 V6 Caravan), that is slowly becoming a hate love. Today I have been sleeping smoothly, thank God only for a quarter of an hour. So I dispensed with coffee and breakfast and turned into the Omi and ignition key… Yes and now? Starter rotates and rotates but car doesn’t start… Of all things now. After about 5 minutes of desperate attempts I hear how the battery is getting so slowly but surely weaker. OK I then gave up and called colleagues, the Shit! Chef called, of course he’s pissed off and off on the train. So 15 minutes were 3 hours late. What’s my mom again???

Clutch disc dropped from the air compressor 🙁
Hello to each other, this week big problem with my Omega B, 2.5TD, EZ98. First we noticed that the automatic climate control was no longer possible. Well, nothing wild thought about it. About 100km further loud noises from the engine compartment. After half an hour in the garage was found the offender. The climate compressor is driven over the dental rib belt. The belt runs over a turning roller, in which in turn a rotating disc – a kind of clutch – runs along. This clutch is more or less fell off, that is, the screw with which it is attached has broken down. Thus, the clutch falls forward and strips the big fan that sits behind the cooler. The next day to the friendly one who has removed the clutch so that it does not break the fan. Now unfortunately no air conditioner any more. And that, where now finally the summer should come back. Did any of you already have this damage case? Can it be repaired without the compre ssor to be completely removed (it’s quite tight there)? It seems that the rest of the screw is still stuck in the shaft that drives the compressor. Is that even repairable? The friendly one thinks, better like a new climate compressor. Costs new approx. 1000€. Without installation. Would be nice to get some information from you. Thanks already for your help, Markus

Lower the engine and the front axle
Hello, how best, I would solve everything first up, and then the cardan shaft and then the car on a lifting car, sit down and then solve everything down, i.e. front axle with shock absorber ? without braking system. Or another better tip. Lg. Kalle Ps. Didn’t want to get out of this time again to the top.

Spider in the outside mirror…and she wants to get away^^
Hi guys, I know it’s a very strange thread but I don’t know what to do. For about 14 days I’ve had a fat spider web in the driver’s mirror every morning. I’ll say now…..”naja shoot it properly with the high-pressure cleaner”….yes I’ve done 2 times and the next morning the little monster has recovered and made a new net. I’ve also tried to drive the cattle out with compressed air but it finds it totally kl asses in the outside mirror….clear is also heated… he really annoyed…! Maybe someone has a home remedy against the little animals. greetings

Help Motor account lights up after starting permanently
Hello dear Omega-community, I have the following problem, for some time now the motor accounts light up with me. Since today it is so that the engine control lights up permanently at each start. I tried to read out a error code (instruction from another thread here in the forum), unfortunately it did not work or it was not saved, because the lamp did not flash but only illuminated. In a overtaking attempt today (kickdown) I had power loss and the car jerked like crazy, as if it can no longer switch on = very dangerous the thing. Have had in two weeks 1000 Euro repair costs with the cars already, slowly I lose the confidence in this car! What can that be? Drive an Omega B 2l 16V automatic year 1998 with 150 tkm. lg. Shany

Own oil (it’s in the checkbook) 4.) no info 5.) no info Should I make an oil change now. If yes, which oil should I now and in the future v ??? The spark plugs were made at 61,000. Are they already due again, or can I wait with it. If new ones are required, which should I take ?? Carsten

Change driver/passenger seat
My car has already 10 1/2 years on the hump and this of course also does not pass the seats without a trace. Optically, they are still in a 1A condition, but with the driver’s seat the back is already a bit shaky and therefore it also snorts something. The Lordose support also does not come out so nicely (in contrast to the passenger seat, which is still really tight and stable). Especially the Lordose support I need for my vortex acid and when my wife was driving and I was just a passenger, I noticed that the difference between the two seats is enormous in terms of overall stability. It is about electric seats with memory fct. on the driver’s side. Now to my question, can the seats of drivers – & co-drivers be exchanged regardless of the underbody that contains the levers/switches for seat adjustment???? Thank you in advance.

Questions regarding the upgrade Omega to LPG
Hello, I’m new here. I’ve been browsing a lot but a few questions are still open. I would like to address those who have also converted an Omega with XEV2.0 to Autagas. I myself have been in a BRC system for 2 days. Now to my questions? 1. Since I have learned that the engine from Englang has no hardened valve seats, Flashlub was recommended and installed. 2. I was recommended to switch to petrol at speeds of more than 4000. How are your experiences. 3. With d he delivery was no manual available, does anyone have any idea where to download it quickly? 4. On the round BRC control panel all four LEDs flash after refueling, this indicates a problem from the tanker. 5. How reliable are these displays. If anyone has any experience, please report. I am grateful for any hint. Thank you in advance Ulrich
