  • One hell of a thing, what do you think?

Now I am flat, backyard workshop has changed cylinder head seal. Now it is established that he throws oil out of the exhaust (also consumes ÖL) even before the repair. The cylinder head has been removed for the repair, now my question. Wouldn’t that have been checked by the fitter and have to see that the valve seals are leaking. Can you see that? In itself this is an experienced fitter about 50 years. Does this not belong in any way to looking for the valves. … and Can I now take him to the cost of the repair, except for the cost anyway. One hell of a thing, what do you think, where my rights lie. W.Mo.

  • Rest current when ignition is switched off

My 2.5 TD model 98 refused to serve yesterday because of an unloaded battery. Since the battery is only 1 year old and the car does not necessarily run every day, I measured the power consumption of the on-board network for interest. The current was 350 mA. This seems to be quite high, it means a daily battery capacity requirement of about 8 Ah. So the battery would be discharged after a week. When connecting, a current of about 6 A flowed, but quickly to the In the area of the interior filter there was a sound like a moving air flap and a click from the compressor of the level lift like an attractive relay. Can anyone tell me how high the Srom is with the correct electrical system?

  • Pre-heating

Hello together Now that the winter is at the door again I’m thinking if I don’t have a heater installed. I was at the FOH and he meant what with almost 900 €urons without a remote control only with a timer clock for fixed programming of 3 times, I think. If any of you know if the price for my 2.5 dti is in order or if there are other solutions to spare yourself the scratching in the winter. If someone of you already installed a heater, how are the Erfa honors with consumption ect. Thanks and LG Oneling

  • BC at 2.5 DTI

Hi ! I’ve been having a few strange things with the BC since about 2 tank fillings with my 2.5 DTI. I’ve only filled up 6 times since I got the car. I always zero all the values of the BC when refueling. With the first 4 refuellings the values of the BC have always exactly tuned ( always calculate with Excel after). That means: absolute consumption BC e.g. 64 liters and then went on the tank also about 64 liters. On average e.g. 7,1 liters according to BC, it was then 7,1X. So everything was ok. But since two tank fillings h This is why the average consumption around this delta is no longer correct. But now my question: where does this come from? Is this because my WR has a smaller size (195/65/15 WR to 225/55/16 SR) ? How is the average consumption calculated ? Is the consumption calculated from the absolute consumption ? It should not be related to the tyre size. Does anyone have an idea ? What can I use a How is the absolute consumption determined ? Greeting Karle P.S. The 2.5 DTI has a heater as far as I know … goes the electric or with diesel ? If with diesel … the consumption is included in the BC ? From which temperature does the heater start to work ? Does it work only when the engine is cold ?

  • Cracked in guardrail

Hello to each other! I’ve already experienced a lot with my Omega, but what happened to me last night on a deserted dark shore road is really awesome. I was traveling in a strange area and had totally lost my way thanks to redirection. So I’m looking for a turning point. When I found this, I slowed down to about 40 km/h and then…then it happened! The omega went out, all the lamps in the amature board lit up, the steering failed, the V Order wheel brakes too, I hastily tore the handbrake up, yes and then I crashed Frontal into the guardrail! The airbag didn’t open, the belt was enough. My first question, what to do now? First a friend called, then the police and after half an hour they came as well. The first question: Did you drink? No I’m always so good at it, even if this isn’t so funny! Nevertheless, first the stupid test was done. Then: Now you explain and then how you do the gemac Did I? I. Then some more forms filled out with and bye! Luckily I could drive home again without any help from anyone. I’m curious what my insurance says on Tuesday. PS: Has something like this ever happened to someone who just runs out of the ride??? What can that be?

  • visco clutch from the fan

hello, had described the problem here before. but it has gone down somehow. so on a ride last week with caravan the temperature suddenly went into the red area and stayed there. I stopped and looked. it were the already described fuses in front of the engine room through. I have to say, I had the air conditioning all the time. what it is about now, even if the fans of the air conditioning system have failed, he would not have been so hot after all can it be that with me the viscolfan is defective after all? he turns with if the engine is warm so around 90 degrees, but I can hold him with the hand. can it be that he got so hot because I always had the climate on and then suddenly all the fuses flew out or is it the viscolfan I ask because I want to stay in 2 weeks on vacation and then drive over 3t km with caravan. have no desire with defective motor anywhere to stay in the pamoas. hope a uf a few good tips. Greetings blues ( achim)

  • Duration Pipes … where is the error (expert question)!

Hello all, I wanted to build my PDA properly … well – n bunch of confusion in the car. Somehow it didn’t work either – then I wanted to measure the voltage at the rear cigarette lighter —> Zack – by mistake n short circuit! Well – since then the beeping is as if you just left the key stuck and opened the door (but already if you want to start the car first). When I then started the car (with door open) it beeps without end. Door to = beep out. I have all Backups replaced – 2 were also broken and are still healthy after repeated control (under ́m steering wheel as well as in engine compartment). But it still beeps permanently. I am really overwhelmed – maybe one of you knows a solution. If then even short term would be … so much the better. Thanks in advance Tom from McPomm

  • Door trim makes itself independent

Hello municipality First of all FROHE OSTERN ….. and then immediately to my problem: The decorative strip at the door at the rear left is detached in front and is pressed against the driver’s door with every door opening and squeezed. In theory I would have to be able to get it back in shape with a hot air gun, but how can I get it fixed then? Underneath is such a kind of sheet metal strip, which I also have to bend something straight. Has anyone already had experience with it? I assume that double-sided HIIIEEELFEEEE…. Greeting from the resin Mav

  • Wheels and tyre sizes

Moinsen, have a question about the “wirrd” that goes off since the new vehicle registration. I have entered in my papers the default values 205/65/15 as well as 225/55/16 and 235/45/17. (Omega B Facelift, X25DT, 2000er) Well a question about 195er ceilings. These are given in Opel’s conversion catalog (made by the FOH the mobile sizes) for the X25DT as rim size 6Jx15 and 6.5Jx15 and 7Jx15. In the Opel documents also a tire with 195/65/15 M+S is indicated. This size is I did not register with me, but in the conversion catalog for the Omega B already. Now I got a few rims 7Jx15 with 195/65/R15 tires from the tyre dealer and he thought you could drive calmly. What really looks like the situation there. Do I still have to register for the TÜV and the whole thing or does this work with the TÜV expert report for the granting of an ABE for the rim? I am interested above all, whether I can drive 195 summer tires also, since I in total at the 195 In response to a question from the tyre dealer at TÜV Nord, it turned out that if the tyre size is registered in the bill, that I can also drive the summer tyres in 195 model… Must go there Monday and see how the behavior is. Would be nice if someone could tell me before, if all this is so feasible with the tyres… I think the tyre dealers/OPEL and also the TÜV themselves don’t really look through…. Thanks Hen ry
