  • Tyre width and size under driving characteristics and economic aspects.

Hello and good morning. Which tyre width and/or size should be taken into account because of the driving characteristics and economic aspects? The look is ignored. Vehicle 99 Omega Caravan before Facelift. Spontaneously I saw the 205 on 15″er. Or are there reasons to choose a different width and/or size? Which tendencies can be seen in general during the series tyres? Larger width etc. I know, Larifari question and babble, but I have been sitting on the Ma since 5:30 hole and have another 7 hours before me. Have a nice weekend Alias

  • Omega meeting next weekend

Hello, friends! I’m still thinking if I’ll pay a short visit to the meeting. That also depends on the weather. But I have to make sure that I find the right place. Lichtenfels-Kösten, is this near Bamberg ? If there is a thread already, then please pass it over to me.Thank you, heinzbbg.

  • Omega A 2,6i – Clutch rear bearings

Hello, friends! For 65,000 km already, what’s going on in my backlog when the engine or the gearbox are really hot. There’s no trouble with the dome. Total power is 150,000 km. An acquaintance thinks that he would have driven so 300,000 km without any problems? Who knows what’s going on and how critical can that be or become? As soon as you easily put your foot on the pedal, the sound stops. Do you have to change the backlog? Or is there a Look forward to your advice, heinzbbg.

  • Fix the cooler?

Hello! Had to find out today that my cooler is not very dense anymore. And it has a very thin (hair) crack in the top of the plastic (or whatever material it is). What do you think – can you fix it somehow? Glue or something? And if so, how or with what? Has anyone ever done this successfully? Must save at the moment, and there a new cooler doesn’t fit so well in the budget. Thanks for all the hints! Greeting Matze

  • Date turns off

Moin, we have an Omega and a Vectra. On both vehicles a blue-point radio was already installed when buying. If you turn on the radio, then the date display is off in the on-board display. Is there any remedy for this? Greetings WH

  • Automatic gearbox / suspension operation

Hello together, as an automatic transmission Laie I have a few questions: How is that actually, with automatic with heavy trailer. Will the slip then so big that the car eats a lot of fuel more??? Can one give with boat on a slip system simply uninhibited gas?? (now I have to compensate the 16V hole with the squamming clutch) So, is automatic with trailer operation better or worse??? Greeting Werner

  • Farewell for 540i Touring

Hello dear forum, we were only a short year member but always felt optimal at home in this great forum. Our sincere thanks for all the help provided. Actually we wanted to buy another Omega. A great Omega B 3,2 Caravan was already found. Since this from my point of view was a bit too expensive at the dealer, I looked around at other car dealerships and then it happened: A 2003 BMW 540i Touring with perfect legend s The BMW has full equipment. From 16:9 Navi to seat memory to stand-up heating and co. In addition from 1st hand and completely maintained with BMW staple. Tomorrow we still go to the used car examination and if there is nothing negative, we take it with us. The BMW is certainly more expensive in maintenance than a 3.2 Omega but that’s worth it to me. Our grandmother is right in the eye. It’s still a funny feeling, because despite the many repairs that could not be left out at 724000 km, the grandma was a good companion. Well, hope that I get between 1500-2000 euros, because a few weeks ago only 1400 euros were invested in Reps. Ciao Matze PS.: I will nevertheless follow various threads as passive mitgleid.

  • Automatically switch back

Hi ! My omi is just on edge when painting. As a transition solution I drive the 325 TDS from my father with automatic. Is the same engine/gear as in the 2.5 TD. Is my first automatic. I have driven with it now maybe 150-200 km. Now my question: Can you prevent the gearbox from having to give a little acceleration or a little bit more gas to keep the speed back? (Note: I give only a little bit of speed) more gas, so don’t make a kickdown)? I mean, it’s quite commod, but what’s always a bit annoying to me is just to switch back early in my opinion. Is the automatic actually self-learning? I mean it would have improved or adapted its switching points a bit. What’s it like compared to other automatic transmissions (especially newer automatics with 6 gears) ? Sorry for the stupid questions, but is my first automatic experience Previously there was only hand switch I ask, since my next car is also perhaps to become an automatic. Greetings Karle
