  • Winter experiences!

Hi people Something “funny” happened to me today…I drove up a road on which there was still snow, but split was skilfully scattered, which therefore came up with a little swing no problem, because at the close end of the snowy slope I could spot a parking lot which lay parallel to the road, one should rather call it a path. So I drove up with swing, but did not get into the gap with a blow, and there was the problem. I was half in the gap….back were It was still about 1 m to the nä. car and forward…tja there was the problem, no more went forward, because in the gap was not scattered and therefore snow. Great! To turn I need another meter more to the back, well and forward….you know, went nothing. What to do? Help far and wide none (forest rim), girlfriend shimmering heart attack, since we slipped back (God is not thanks to the car behind us) was still a meter of space. I cursed over rear drive and the stupid idea here h Then came the idea: floor mats out, under the wheel, slightly accelerated, BINGO! Could take out the meter to be able to turn. I was bright and relieved, but the floor mat first had to grumble out of the snow about 7 meters behind us. Do you also have such “amusing” experiences? Just post! Greetings, Tobi

  • Alternator change or not????

Hello ! So make me my thoughts, what next could give up the mind and have come so on my alternator. Got the car now for 2 years. Did I happen at the cadet then and was not exactly pleasant to come to work in the morning because the battery is sucked empty. Well, my question, should one exchange such parts for new ones for precaution or is that not necessary and one waits until the first signs occur??? LG Nadine

  • Machine boils off…wackler or defect at the thermoswitch???

Hello, I had to have an unusual experience a few days ago. And that was the temperature of my 3.0 V6 shot up into the red area – and that at -12°C outside temperature. Of course, I’m interested in how it came to this. First I suspected the fan motors along with fuses, because they didn’t start when the climate was switched on, which is usually the case… Furthermore, I found that the terminal 4 in the central fuse box (according to the manual there must be a 15 Ampère fuse) is not occupied – no contacts in it, which could take a fuse – very mysterious…. Since I did not know any further and the car had cooked, I had to leave it standing….. The next day I had to make a ride (outside temperature -1°C) and tried to put the climate back into operation – and look, both fan motors were running – impeccable. But it is inexplicable to me why the fan motors mi t climate sometimes work and sometimes not; and without climate not at all?!?? My suspicion now applies primarily to the thermoswitch (if the omega has something like that). In my Corsa A it was once broken and then the fan motor didn’t jump on either….. How can I check/replace/bridge it if that’s what it is? Or is it electronically otherwise regulated by the omega? And where is the cooling water thermostat (suspecting moment Numero 2) and is this perhaps electronic I know that’s a lot of questions, but maybe someone can help me… Thank you so much, Vince.

  • Oil leak on turbocharger

Moin, drive an Omega 2.5 DTI year 03.2002 and had to have the turbocharger replaced at 110,000km due to oil loss. After now 3000km in 8 weeks it drips again. Is this a general weak point of this engine. Have with the predecessor BMW engine (130 hp) had no problems at all with the turbo at 270.000km. Or can the workshop have made a mistake when installing it? Did anyone ever have similar problems with the 2.5 DTI engine?

  • Experience/opinion on a 96 Omega B Aut. with org 48TKM???

Moin, I drive myself in the Vectra A/B/C forum, but now could possibly be a vehicle change with me… Mom. I drive a 94er Vectra A CDX Aut. which has run 133TKM. But I have now seen at a dealer around the corner, a fairly well maintained 96er Omega B on Aut., as 2.0l 16V with good equipment (climate, screen roof,4x window lifter and so on and org. 48TKm, price should be €5950,-…. What is most of you to this vehicle, how is the reliability of the erss omega B models… I heard that they should be very sensitive in the Berreich motor electronics, write something about the childhood diseases and you should pay attention to everything about this model… I know quite well that such threads are probably appearing more frequently here, but the search for such threads at MT is really “Doof”… Thanks for your help… Bear

  • OmegaB MV6 loss of fluidity near the automatic transmission– Help!!!

Hello I have a question for you again and I think you can also help me before I go to the workshop. I was happy, finally my Omega looks really great again. Got the door edges rusted out and it looks really good again. Today during the 2 ride, I noticed that at once a puddle under the car was at the height of the transmission. I then looked immediately and it comes there with the automatic transmission dripped. There I then above the transmission on the hose that was open at the end. But think that’s normal it’s an overflow or? In any case I would say from the smell and the consistency I would type is cooling liquid. But usually there is no cooling liquid in the gearbox. It comes about there where the smaller lid is at the bottom of the gearbox, but I guess it comes from further up. Do you know what that could be and what you can do there? I’ve been breaking my head all day what that could be d how to get that close again. If I only knew what it is for the time being, but I think you have more experience and you probably already had such a problem. Thanks already now.

  • I’ll do it again.

Hello dear forum. Was today at the friendly , because of the brown sauce in my lid where man oil fills. The friendly says come back in 3 std ok ,I’m home and 3 hours waiting. So I went back to friendly and thought of head seal or something no matter wait.I came to my car standing still on the stage shit I thought the howrd expensive I came in the lord and told me all that almost ok what I said and where does the brown sauce sir come in ??? show he gave me the crankshaft ventilation sensor I believe the sizt back under the suction bridge if I have it right, says me if wrong that I should clean up and make 2 valve cover seals new will resist the car still in great condition. They have measured the compression there got so leaves and the master said everything great. As far as I paid forward so well, and then the lord asked me if I drive with the car short or long distances,I meant short there I have the soße I wi e so he comes from the fact that the brown sauce hangs in the oil filling nozzle.Hmmmm My question is true that man with such a car can not drive short distances ????? I drive only short distances possibly once or 2 times a month I drive 100 km at the piece to my mother but that’s it. Thanks already for your answer.

  • Steering wheel crooked and bad straight run

I was looking and found some but not really accurate. Had changed the track rods and had the track adjusted, 65€ for tires Diehl. Result: steering wheel tilted about 10° to the right and he pulls also while driving to the right. Not when braking! Again on ,Recall. All values to 99% exactly. Result as before. Let the steering wheel check again last week, the steering wheel is still wrong although it has been fixed and it pulls to the right…again What the hell is going on with the drill! Now an acquaintance meant that at Opel basically 80kg are placed on the front seats. And that was not done with the meanwhile 3 settings. Does anyone have a plan?? Mfg

  • the barrel without the floor again !

Sooo, dear Oma-Gemeinde, I have to report nice again, after the numerous workshop visits I had so far with the bitchy oma now comes a new one. The reason, the climate compressor is broken, after, the car is now in the workshop and the dear mechanics wanted to change the climate compressor they noticed that the drain valve in the pipe has broken, i.e. I could have fetched the car yesterday already if everything had run according to plan, but like the should I’m so good at it. Maybe someone has tips on how to deal with a grandma who doesn’t have to play around with it? So good and sweet doesn’t work. Well……when the grandma comes out of the workshop, she goes on holiday with her…I’ll see what else you can think of on the trip to annoy me. So long… P.S. For once, I’m not the best friend of the tanker but the workshop.

  • Shepper devil ade!

Hi, Since there are tens of threads to bang, clapping, rustling, squeaking, squeaking and grinding, and it’s always difficult for everyone else to imagine the car and its tones of the other, I didn’t batter for long this time and just went looking for yourself. I don’t know how you are, but I can’t stand these annoying sounds at the best mind (at the moment certainly not). This time there were several places. Two of them I could feel myself. The 1. Finally I could overcome to remove the painted heat protection sheet. An act, but at first looked lighter, when it turned out afterwards. The 2. This was the fastest and most convenient noise nuisance. At the 2 automatic transmission oil cooling lines is on the car floor, close steering lever a rubber holder … This was broken, so that a line was constantly on any unevenness on the road, against the The 3rd the most unpleasant. Every even so small hubbel was confirmed with a scraper. With the window method I could locate the approximate geographical location but no more, at least for the moment not. Under me I could not find anything loose with the hand. Until I then sitting side by side of the front wheel and completely baffled, almost with anger struck with the fist against the wheel. Then also the annoying shivering sound came to light. So ….flux in my works and report reported. A 3/4 hour later I and especially the omi could drive calmly from the yard. And now already for the second time this visit was free. But also decisively because I have first made timing belts read and exhaust bought. Be it as it will, even when braking is now the recently stronger flutter away. At least as far as the omi concerns I can now no longer complain. Climate works again. Exhaust I have again the ESD removed and worked with paste ..is now completely dense. Scheppern fixed. Timing belts have only been made. And 1.5 years of rest. Nice that you can also concentrate on other problems.
