Hello dear omi-lovers! 🙂 I’m tobi, 20 years old and just for my first car to save on. one thing is already certain: it, or he has to offer space! and since I grew up with and in opera anyway, the omega b came to me…I drove a few times in a 2.0er limo automatic, also in a 2.0 16v caravan automa. and a caravan 2.0 16v switch…how the consumptions were, I don’t know…the bitzers couldn’t tell me either:-( and therefore ask ic h you: how much does a caravan 2.0 or the 2.0 16v (if possible specify both) consume during normal driving in the city and in the country(50:50)? (however, the car rolls more, not much stop and go!! so in principle always a glide in the 4th course;-)) and what do I have to pay special attention to at the omega b? clear, rust, clutch test, fully insert the steering wheel, drive with a lot of gas to hear if what makes noise, even turn off the engine fully etc…but what are the “diseases” be in the omega? which motor oil does he need and how much gas? which lamps come into the front lights? how do you drive him most economically? (at which turn switch? how much gas?) that would be so first of all the questions I would have liked to answer:-) many thanks already!

Please make a purchase recommendation for Omega Caravan Diesel – only which one?
Hello, I would like to switch to a used Omega B caravan with diesel engine, but I have no reference to which engine is the most durable, most robust, most economical. Other topics are of course taxes and fine dust badge. It would be nice if you could give me some comments, also personal experiences on the machines. To my knowledge stand 2.5 TD with 131 hp 2.5 DTI with 150 hp 2.0 DTI with 101 hp (is that at all sufficient for the car?) 2.2 DTI with 120 hp more or less available… I would like to agree with the 2.5 TD (not least because the offer is relatively large), but I would still find out a little more about all diesel units, as mentioned Vor/Disadvantages, mileage (do the 500000 km and more with?), consumption, tax, etc. Previously thanks for your answers Many greetings, Vince

Omega B – Y22XE – LPG – Don’t jump to ZKD anymore, various FC’s
Moin Moin, currently having big problems with one of my Omega. It is a facelift Omega B from 2003 with the Y22XE engine inside and Prinz gas system. after a ZKD repair my Omi no longer starts. I have already read through some Treds which led to a dead end. I have renewed the following: ZDK ,NWS, KWS, ignition strip, and spark plugs, compression measured well over 11 bar. Control times are strictly adhered to. 3X checks immobilizer also checked. In the start control light motor electronics lights permanently. I have found that no candle ignites. 6 pole plugs ignition strip have power on black cable. also I examined the wire harness after cable break read out errors before changing the ,NWS, KWS, ignition strip, and spark plugs: P0700, p170, p340,p0303, p0170,p0303, p0110 p1525, p1550 error codes deleted and updated following: NWS, KWS, ignition strip, and spark plugs. Transmission Control TC module stored. All other errors are no longer available. Does one still have an idea where it might be? I don’t know any more. I hope I haven’t forgotten anything Best regards Bruchpilot

Omega A – Combi – Plugs Tanker
Does the plug for the tanker still fit somewhere else? Because of me also in another model? With mine a cable is gambled. However, I’m afraid, because of the whole special plug I won’t be able to permanently get around tools for the out and around.

Turn the license plate…
…from July 1st the change sign comes. Then 2 vehicles of the same EU vehicle class with only one license plate can be used. Possible change combinations are e.g. car-oldtimer or car-residential vehicle ?!?Define someone vehicles of the same EU vehicle class??? Does this mean that I could “theoretically” drive my thick ommy and my big moose with a license plate? Both automatic! So same vehicle class…

No Opel engine is suitable for a day-to-day installation of car gas system
Hello, on 28.2. I had opened the topic, which car gas system for Opel Omega B Caravan with engine Z22XE, in the Omegaforum. The answers were different, as well as in the 4 page post of 2010. Because I was unsure and to be sure I wrote on 8.3. an e-mail to Opel Rüsselsheim. Since the gentlemen apparently sleep and no answer came, I called on 21.3. and got an employee from the tech. customer service to the apartment, with the following Komentar : I have your e-mail before I said these were not my questions,I wanted to know whether the valves were hardened and how it is with the piston rings etc.. Short silence and then,No Opel engine is suitable for the after-day installation of a car gas system, with the trimming of the engines, which are delivered on the factory side with the car gas system in the vehicle, Now again to Comentaren from de Beitägen: That I drive with full throttle, (as one wrote,600Km on the BAB, which I don’t think is possible anyway)longer distances is nonsense, then with petrol and not with gas. On the other hand Bommel drives with a 1.6t trailer without problems. So plant installations or not, that’s the question here. Greetings

Omega B – Do you drive your still full pipe???
Last week I registered my Omega again, drive it only in winter, in summer only lame diesel with caravan+oldtimer,Womo! Yesterday I am then back from Rhede to Bochum+,there goes for me then via the A31,so-called Ostfriesenspieß,there you can drive in the evening actually almost an hour full throttle,to a construction site+of course the really few passengers, mostly truck.Had resettted on the BC the average speed,on the descent I had stood 177 km/h,as o about in an hour. There were tips with a little over 200, otherwise always so 170-190. Always impressive as my old ass is taking part+how many more you can still hang out, had me with a 7 BMW, but then remained behind me, because I always pull the speed so through, was just fun, after the months of sneaking! Greeting,Rainer

Omega B – Exchange of rear axle bearings/elephant feet
Hello everyone, after having succeeded as a technically interested layman to exchange my crossbars and trackbars (that I dared to do so … 🙂 I wanted to dedicate myself to my rear axle camps. I have already read a lot about this here in the forum. So these should go out and also go back in enormously hard, freeze should help etc., but what I am still looking for and also after intensive search! really not found, is a real guide to this. nige photos suggest that it seems that it is enough to take out only the plate with its three screws and the middle screw and then to lever out the bearing. Is that so, or is the effort far higher, because perhaps the whole axle carrier has to be lowered?

Corsa C – Z10XEP – Start problem after coupling change?
Hello. I just put it here in the Omega Forum, because you always get nice help here I changed the clutch for an acquaintance at his Corsa C Bj 05 1.0 (Z10XEP). Which also worked without problems. But now the car doesn’t jump anymore When you start it, you notice that he wants to start. But only if you play with the gas around the half-gas position. When towing the engine goes on, however, sounds like a sack of nuts for me. In idle, runs it is quite stable at about 600 revolutions (speedometer hardly goes up and down) Also it turns up at idle only slowly and at about 4000 revolutions is finished. And if you, jerky gas gives off it. I have read out the errors (brake and gas) 2107 or 2108. Tomorrow I will read it again with the China Kracher. I have already sprayed the engine with brake cleaner, but the speed does not change. I had already thought of the KW sensor!! Maybe one of you still has an idea.. Thank you already once in advance Here’s a video of the engine run.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-diQugxg3yo

Omega B – Combi – reversing in the body?
Hi, I haven’t found anything about the search and therefore open a new topic here. I’ve had an Omega B Facelift Caravan since the end of June. I’m actually very satisfied. Only the following problem bothers me: with hard edges in the road like e.g. Gullidecke or bridge overgnage swings/vibrates the whole car a bit. I estimate about 15 Hz. or the same frequency as the one wheel unbalance at 110 kmh. It occurs however independently of speed and speed. d load condition up. On a not quite so good highway it can change to a permanent swing. Of the strength it is so that one can feel it in the seats and the steering wheel partly vibrates. I changed front shock absorbers incl. dome bearings, transverse handlebars incl. jacks and carrying joint and coupling rods. Back only the shock absorbers. After that it felt a bit better, but still there. The driving behavior in curves, brakes etc. is otherwise top. A familiar told me, since ss the omega from the rear axle somewhat swings, but not as much as I describe it. I also think that it comes more from the rear axle, but not only. Does anyone have an idea? can worn-out bushings of the rear axle be the cause? Or can the body generally become soft and have the effect? The omega had 222TKm on the clock when buying and has a retrofitted AHK. How often it was used in the hanging operation is not known. I unfortunately still have no I had to interrupt early in the morning because the bike bolts were not really tight. Thanks already! Many greetings Kai
