  • Handbrake Omega/pulls but clatters!

Tach Yesterday I accidentally drove a little bit backwards with a fully tightened Hanbrake about 1m! The car went back full into the knees on the left or springed extremely deep. After loosening the brake there was a slightly metallic flapping after 2/3 times slow before and reset the noise was gone. The brake pulls without objection but after loosening is just when driving back again this flapping and the coverings quits, the noises are after a few ma l Before/Backrolling disappeared. Can someone tell me if there is something torn down in the drums or if the ev. could be a loose brake lining? I have on the Fzg. still by the end of May CAR-GARANTIE would fall into such a situation? For answers already many thanks in advance!

  • 2.0 dti or 2.2 dti?

Hello to each other! Come from the Vectra A-Forum, but I also like the Omega very, very well. As much as I have noticed, there are two different diesel engines at the B-Facelift: the 2.0 16V DTI and the 2.2 DTI. Personally, I tend to the 2.0, because it has less hp and is therefore cheaper in Austria in the insurance. My questions: – What about the acceleration (can you compare the one of a Seat Alhambra with 110 HP TDI engine)? – Dur cut consumption to 100km? – Does the 2.0 DTI have a control chain or a timing belt? – What advantages/disadvantages does the engine have? Thanks already in advance! Greetings, Florian PS. another question: Does the Omega Caravan Elegance have a 12V socket in the trunk??

  • Omi for 6 weeks at FOH!!!!!

First hello to everyone! Have a riiiiiesen problem and if my FOH can not find the error maybe one can help me here! Bitttte! I drive an Omega B 2.5 V6 year 1997. 6 weeks ago I had a small engine fire which could be immediately deleted. Lt. expert was the left valve cover seal defective, i.e. oil out, on exhaust manifold and feurio! Since this seal was replaced and thereby immediately deposits from the coolant were removed, my car runs The speed varies, the engine runs “unround”, the car “vibrates”, the engine is terribly loud (6cylinders) and we don’t want to talk about fuel consumption at all! In the lower speed range when accelerating, the engine makes a short jolt, but it never goes to the MKL. After 4 weeks of workshop I was told that this is on the timing belt( which is already 2 years in and already 20,000 km ). The opposing workshop tested this, half a tooth was skipped, was new But we still have the same problem. So let the error memory be read out, result: no error whipped. So back to the old workshop that built in the valve cover seal.Today we find out that it was the ignition cables!?! Besides, my FOH claims the chip roll turns in the wrong direction. Could that be at all? Didn’t the defective ignition cables have to be in the error memory? a defective valve cover seal has not been running properly for 6 weeks?

  • New and equal to a question

Hello fans, I just signed up. Consider this as a re-integration measure after more than 10 years of work abroad. Area Telekom(iker). I’ve visited this forum a few times. I’m still not through with the post “so everyone has something to laugh about”. Otherwise this seems to me to be a gang of very funny companions, with which you can feel comfortable. So before I completely reinset my resume, to the point: Have my 16 year old Sierra to Russia export It was released and an MV6, automatic, caravan was bought; because it is so pretty silvery. It also runs quite passable. (The Diplo V8 driving feeling doesn’t have to be clear. No modern frills help there. Today I bought cruise control and theft warning system from a 95 accident Limo. Cruise control, actuator and gas train built in, turn signal switch replaced (also connected) and started. Nix does itself. Power flow plan of the repair instruction says fuse 15 with 15 amps. Its a 20s in it. So, guys, does someone have an idea, which I didn’t notice, that it’s going to work? I expect something similar with the alarm system now. There’s the frequency in the 433 MHz band on it. That makes me nervous. Still as an appendix: the Diplo V8 is supposed to learn to run again this year after 13 years.

  • Questions Before Buying a Senis

I’ve always been a fan of big luxury sleds and I’m always a fan of Opel. Only combination? : The Senator. I’m looking for a black C30SE with (almost) full equipment and I’m also very dubious. The only thing would be: I’m not a fan of high cars, but I’d like to have the adjustable chassis. What possibilities do I have for lowering? I suppose only springs. If so, what size? Does the paint (black) actually have weak spots as well as magm ared or pineapple yellow? Can it be good that he likes to rust with the paint or that the perverse fades. Next: What kind of rims fit really max?? Bzw which tyres? Thought so on 17er with 235er or something in the turn. For me a car only has to have sporty driving behavior, am not a spoiler fan Ach ja: Open air filters: Will probably be special on this engine very rare or I have to take a universal filter and have it entered by EA :/ How much KM k I mean, I always hear people driving the parts with 200TKM without the car mucking. Wouldn’t be bad if I got one with less KM. Well, I’m sure I can still think of questions, but that’s it for now and I’d be happy if you could answer me in detail.

  • Is it a purchase price?

Good evening and happy auxiliaries! wanted to say hello briefly before I come to the facts. I am new here, drive since 1998 an Omega B year 1994, which already caused me almost all the problems, which were described here times. Although I had diligently repaired, however also matured over time the conviction that never again to buy an Opel. Now with me last week was the 2nd change of the two track rods and the clogged idle control, when the Frendliche Meister d His proposal was the purchase of a slightly younger Opel Omega B with year 04/1997 in CD-equipment (climate, everything electr. Sonnenrollo rear window, NEbel…) and with workshop-tested 38700 Opa-kilometers…….He got it only recently…. Well, of course it was not possible for me, but the price is very hot for my Meinujng, namely 5000,- Euro….Now I’ve been considering all the holidays…… Well my questions: – Wi e is your opinion, should I take another Omega, although I have already been taught, at least in terms of quality, the better one? – Is the demanded price of 5000, – really as “hot” and “one-time” as it was insured with the friendly one? Can not decide me!!!!! But time is pressing, I agreed on a test drive on Wednesday……. Looking forward to your opinions…. Thank you in advance, Ede

  • Price Cargo compartment cover OmegaB Facelift

Hello everybody, who can give me the price at the Opel dealer for a cargo space cover for an OmegaB Caravan, Built 01 (Facelift)? Thank you in advance!

  • Coolant consumption – How much is normal ?

Hello, I had to replenish 2 times about 100ml of cooling water in my caravan within about 10 days, under the car I could not see anything because of the weather, on the trackstick I see only oil, and in the balance tank there is also no oil, is that still OK or is that too much ??

  • Zero grip on snow

Hello guys, I had to have a bitter experience today with my 3.0 V6 Caravan. The following situation: 15 cm of fresh snow and no trace of winter service and then there is with me here in the middle mountains already one or the other slope to overcome… But that the Omega soooo does not cut off badly, I would not have thought in dream…. The smallest climb makes biggest problems! The TC does not help the bean further – on the contrary; that is designed for the dry road with 1A grip, dami In winter, however (i.e. on slippery ground) you can forget the part absolutely. I then deactivated the TC and I cross the slopes under the biggest tire wear (you know for sure how I sneaked up my…) … That can’t be… And I want to say that I already have a “sensitive gas foot”. But at the smallest bit the tail breaks out. I also have to beo Is it possible that the electrics are “calculated” because of the large wheel speed difference between the front and rear axles? If you turn off the car and restart the car, the error is gone again. Have you ever seen this before? In my Mondeo this had occurred before… On the grip problem: I will definitely make a few snow today. buy (must), but I have already thought about packing two weights from the construction crane into the trunk… – Recommended???? Or are there other possibilities? Many greetings, Vince

  • From E-Class to Omega B! Can this work well ?

Tach people, I drive next to my B-Vectra another Mecedes E-Class 200E BJ 1992. The E-Class has been in our possession for 14 years now with 200TKM. Unfortunately we have not taken care of this beautiful car in the last 3 years and now some things have to be renewed or changed. The whole fun costs however 2000 €. I think this is not worth repairing. Now I have thought about putting something on it and me an Omega 2.0 with 136 HP and Automa I don’t know anything about the Omega. But I think I get a big car with good equipment for little money. Only my concern is whether it is reliable. Should I dare? How is the Omega of its driving behaviour? Can you compare it with the E-Class? Greeting PS: If I had only taken care of the E-Class
