Hello people! I have a big problem: my Omega is already standing in the garage for a few weeks. At that time I finished it really well, i.e. I also took the 2nd button on the remote control. Now I wanted to open it by FB (both tried out) and oh wonder: it’s not possible! Unlocking is not possible, because of the fuse pin. How can I open the car now? Oh yes and the thing gets even more difficult: the garage is just 3m wide and 5m long. That means that But I think I’m kind of going to get it first. Please, please help me *heul* Thank you in advance Schnubbi

ABS/TC spins
Hello everyone, have had this problem for about 1 month. When I start the car the control lights go off as soon as I go off a bit the two lamps go on again (then the ABS is activated). Not always. Today it was more extreme because it was a bit smooth. I wanted to test the system and went on a side road sometimes full into the blocks. It buzzed briefly and then stopped. Is it perhaps at the relay? Or is there somewhere a mass shortage? The sensors? I feel with the sensors. n defective system insecure with such a giant. Edit: Maybe this is due to a bad battery, which was just a short time ago rather empty because hardly any water was in it. Since then it also starts worse. MfG Bauknecht

Shelf life Omega 2,5l
Hello to each other! For the first time I would like to welcome everyone, since I just registered here! I drive an Opel Omega B (built in 1996) with 2.5 liters V6 (limousine) and automatic transmission and air conditioning. Now the good piece is already about 10 years old, I bought it in 1999 and have driven it since only about 13 tkm, in total he has now almost 70 tkm on the speedometer. He is completely staple-kept and despite the few km each year an inspection in the specialized workshop with Oil change, I have been using Mobil1 0W40 for several years. How long do you think I can drive the car until the first big repairs (e.g. gearbox or engine) occur? How is it with rust, is the corrosion protection with the car ok? At the moment I think about whether I should sell it soon, on the one hand the acceleration is not enough for me and I always wanted to drive a V8, on the other hand I already have a lot of money in the What do you mean, how much would a car dealer still pay me for my Omega in case of buying another used car? Is it really bad for the car, if I only drive distances of about 5.5 km in the city at a distance, does it get warm enough? At least the temperature indicator goes quite quickly into the warm area, often even when parking the fans are already on. Best regards! T74

Was in Germany for the first time
Hy!! So I was in Germany for the first time (in 2 museums and on the Reeperbahn) but you Germans have a driving style, man man … At first I didn’t care about your speed, but then let me ride along, when the Porsche hit by with at least 280, I thought I was standing!!! (with my 190) But I have to say, I put back about 2200km and must praise my Omega. He didn’t make any bitches and was very good… However, he swallowed half a liter of engine oil and c a. 240 liters diesel, speed 220 according to the speedometer he also managed with almost 300,000km on the speedometer! SUPER WAR ́s!!!

Retrofit folding key
moin! does one of you have something like that???http://cgi.ebay.de/…0248QQihZ006QQcategoryZ53906QQrdZ1QcmdZViewIt’s actually the Opel funky on the alarm clock, but I don’t really want to exchange it for “one day crafting and then it’s just right”. The part of ebay can’t really do anything, can it?? Man (I anyway) just always falls on the cheap screen. LOL! I bought a “BOSS-Audio” DVD-Radio! It was unheard of! But d It’s a different story.

Oil loss – sometimes
Hello, I have been a little more busy on vacation some time ago (about 500km with 160-180) and after that my Ommi started to lose oil after every slightly longer and faster trip. Not excessive, but overnight, after parking there were a few drops on an underlaid cardboard. Curiously, however, I have consumed about half a litre of oil (10W40) in the last 1,500km, in the 5,000km before the consumption was practically not measurable. can it be that the engine consumes/burns so much more oil at high speed? As I normally drive rather comfortably, I would not have noticed that. So, but here it comes: Now I have been observing the whole thing for a few weeks and now the oil level is constant again and there is no more dripping. However, a very small oil loss still seems to be there, because some parts of the engine block are still freshly oiled. But the riddle guess starts, from where the oil could come from: Yesterday I smacked off the cover of the timing belt, but now I am not really much smarter, because the rear ZR cover does not show much. Behind the two camshaft wheels it is dry, with the two pulleys of the timing belt there is nothing to see, only behind the tensioning roller of the timing belt it is slightly oily. But fortunately the belt itself is dust-dry. The area to the right of the belt is slightly oily. Water pump (in the direction of travel) is also dry again. The area below the fixing of the tensioning roller of the wedge-ribbed belt, for example, where the adjusting spine of the crankshaft wheel is located. But a picture says more than the whole description, see below.. Do you have tips for me where the “oil source” is? Greetings, Rainer

So now my engine always gets hot!!
So now I have read almost every contribution here from the hot motors under load and mine also starts with it. As soon as I drive faster than 150 km I can also take the temperature indicator as a speed meter so moves that at speed / brakes. Was now in 3 workshops and everyone says something different. *HEUL* First said the visco will be it, the second said it CAN only be the water pump and the last said 1.termostat or cooler sits you. e would have been my favorite, whereby the explanation of the 2 workshop with the water pump seems to me most plausible. The Visko always turns with me (yes, I know all viscofans always turn with) but can not hold Him tight so he always cools down. But the water pump does not bring the water in motion anymore and therefore it can only be the water pump! What do you mean??

– Is that normal?
Hello! Today, because of my still not permanently localized oil scraper problem, I made the covering of the timing belt and for this purpose also removed the wedge-rib belt. At one point I noticed an almost perfect cut exactly across the direction of the KRR, see picture. Now the question arises to me: Is this normal or is it a damage? The strap was removed three times in the 10 years of its life and certainly never snapped But since the belt – as can be seen in the picture – also has many small cracks (fatigue symptoms stop..), I ordered a new one today as a precaution. Nevertheless, I would be interested in what this cut has to do with it. Greetings, Rainer

Driving in winter by snow??
Hello, I tried the search, but with the search terms “driving in winter” or only “winter” only one post about “riding fluctuations”, and with the search term “snow” comes the post “nail in the tire”. Something I do probably wrong. Anyway, this will be my first winter with an Omega and with a rear-driver at all. Do I have to pay attention to something special when driving? Winter tires on it is clear, but should I pack something heavy into the trunk? e fortunately we do not have here and deep snow is also rather rarer to find, but maybe I wanted to drive into the resin, but better not unprepared. So tips and tricks??? Greeting omimatze

Fraud at the OPEL service or what?
have had my thickness at the 240.ooo customer service at the FOH, with SB for a disk and all kinds of Krimskrams then around 1200,oo EURO pulled off now I think, check if the filter for the climate situation was changed so open the bonnet, fry the rubber and open the flap and I THINK THE BLACK the supposedly replaced pure air filter has cracked off, hangs somewhere in the box, totally astounded and looks like he has 100,000 km on the hump then again looked into the invoice, it says in it, pure air filter changed witnesses for the process, service date was last Wednesday, around 17:30 clock I picked up the car at the FOH what should I do now? ev right on Monday by means of a tangible arugment to ram his skull into the fan then one wonders, what happened with the other allegedly changed parts and has now ruined the car to me?
